Lol. We are always the last ones to know - is what I learned at my mom's last neurology appointment. I am the embodiment of the listnook troupe about not reading articles - my comment might have been a humble brag because I actually read it this time lol

Looks great for 89. Saw a video of him signing some autographs recently. Had a cane but was still moving around pretty good

Rumor has it he has dementia. That's kind of the vibe I get from the post from his daughter

His family debunked that though. He seemed pretty sharp at the SNL 50th anniversary show.

Ive had a family member get it and worked with consumers who had it. Some of them would get violent, so I hope he doesn't turn into Jack.

and the general population must have it too since nobody remembers he beat a woman so badly she became disabled.

Actually, this did happen. Kind of. In 1996, a woman named Catherine Sheehan filed a civil lawsuit alleging Nicholson grabbed her by the hair and repeatedly slammed her head into the floor. She settled out of court for ~$33,000, but later claimed her injuries worsened, causing brain stem damage and vision loss.
There was never a criminal case, just a civil settlement.

Everybody seems to forget anybody can file a lawsuit and settling a lawsuit doesn't mean a person is guilty. I don't know the man, he could be a woman beater for all I know. I just get annoyed when people write off a famous person because of a lawsuit or two. People really need to take those with a grain of salt. Of course the more lawsuits there are the more suspicion falls onto the person and at certain point you can't ignore it. This isn't really directed towards the above poster I just needed to vent.

That was the intention of providing context the the OP. He was at his peak, making this go away versus protracted trail.

1

Its not a bot. Maybe people should stop idolizing celebrities to the point that they look past crimes committed by them that they'd normally condemn.

Yeah. Crazy to think that he hasn’t been to a game since the Luka trade, but that’s what happens when you enter your late 80s.
During the Laker games so far in the playoffs, I’ve been seeing his son, Ray, sitting courtside, in what used to be his and his dad’s seats.

Over a decade ago, there were Listnook headlines describing his brain as “basically mush” and we hadn’t seen him publicly in years! So I’m so glad that isn’t the case! 😃
