Yup, the IRGC doesn't care about what their president says.

He was literally trying to resign a couple weeks ago because they weren’t actually letting him do anything but then they told him that no he also can’t resign.  There is no elections in Iran. It’s all bullshit.

That's not a picture of Japan's Prime Minister Sanae Takaichi. That's their Chief Cabinet Secretary Minoru Kihara.

The IRGC controls Hormuz, not the president. And they want money. Lots of money. Thank you for nothing, Donald TACO Trump.

They have to open the strait or they get bombed again. There is no money being exchanged. The Islamic Republic won't be allowed to charge tolls.

That's cute that you believe that lol. World wouldn't be in this situation if the taco president that wanted no wars, started wars

We wouldn't be in this situation if the Islamic Republic of Iran hadn't murdered tens of thousands of innocent Iranians and murdered, tortured, kidnapped and raped Americans and their allies for decades. The Islamic Republic is the reason all of this is happening. The Islamic Republic are the aggressors, tyrants, terrorists, mass murderers, rapists, kidnappers, torturers and religious fanatics who started this war on Oct. 7.

What a dishonest argument. You really believe the US or Israeli governments cares about the Iranians that were killed? The same countries threatening to make Iran "hell on earth" the same countries threatening a complete end to Iranian civilization? They care so much about Iranians? We can all see that's bullshit You're also going to claim Iran is the aggressor in this war when the US and Israel attacked first? You're being dishonest. No reasonable person would buy that propaganda The IRGC is an evil regime. That doesn't mean we need to go full 1984 double-speak about it

It's about be anti war not pro Iran. Might is right is a poor way of solving problems and makes you no better than a school yard bully.

Those who are against this war are essentially saying they're ok with the Islamic Republic continuing to murder, torture and r*** innocent people. You don't want it to stop.

And you still sound like a self righteous bully, as much as there's lots of horrible people in the world who gives anyone the right to use excessive force as a means of controlling people. At the end of the day, regardless of what righteous notices you have violence is still violence.

Agreed! Dude above is basically condoning the IRGCs behavior in Iran. The US should not have gotten involved but sooner or later someone was going to have to stand up for the Iranian people that are living in fear. Someone has to stand up for the 12 year old girls that are married off to 55 year old men against their will. Someone has to stand up for the Women who have no rights. The IRGC is disgusting and anyone condoning their behavior is just as gross.

Didn't you idiots vote for the US to stop meddling in other people's affairs? Why is the US responsible for any of what you said?

I would have thought by now that you'd have realised that Iran cannot be either threatened or bombed into allowing safe passage through the straight. This requires a diplomatic solution - and one where they hold a significant strategic advantage, no less.

Trump threatened to destroy Iran's infrastructure and then the Islamic Republic backed down and agreed to open the strait. It literally just happened and you can't see what is right in front of your nose. The Islamic republic is weak, pathetic and close to collapse.

They would gladly get bombed again, better still is invasion in their eyes. The only reason that the cease fire was agreed presumably is that China needs more time to prepare.

Yes, I'm sure they are desperate to meet their 72 virgins. That explains the Islamic republic's suicidal behavior.

“Hey Iran, you being attacked is starting to inconvenience me now, so could please hold your head still and allow the bully to stomp on it? If you do that i promise to continue to do absolutely nothing to help you. Thanks” I mean, sounds like a sweet deal to me.

The Islamic Republic is the bully who murdered tens of thousands of innocent Iranians in January and attacked the US and its allies repeatedly for decades.

Not disputing that. And if America and Israel had intervened during that uprising to support the protests they would have had the moral high ground. But instead they waited until the protests were crushed and 30k civilians were slaughtered before attacking. And now everything they are doing is just making things worse for the civilians and actually strengthening the regime.

The US didn't have enough troops in the region to intervene at the time, and they also wanted to give diplomacy a chance. The US still had a legitimate casus belli regardless of how much time passed.

That's not what a casus belli is. You shouldn't use words you don't understand.

I've read reports that the iranian protestors that day were armed (by the US to stage an uprising)

Japan has proposing, and enforced, the profit cap for Iran's energy. Japan relies on the Middle East for around 95% of its oil supplies and 11% of its liquefied natural gas imports with around 70% and 6% respectively coming via the Strait of Hormuz. so I am sure Iran will put japan's ask as their top priority.

Please stop inconveniencing us because our best friend started to attack you. Pretty sad display of diplomacy, honestly. That's like Derek Chauvin putting a knee on George Floyd's neck, then another Japan cop comes up and says "Stop Resisting!"
