Having sex in a Friday the 13th movie, guaranteed way to get killed

It's crazy just how conservative-coded the genre tends to be
>DON'T HAVE PREMARITAL SEX KIDS!

Those are the rules of slashers. The Virgin survives.

It's weird how that stuck for other slashers, since it was a narrative reason for Jason.

The subtext in this scene was specifically modernized by the creators to "Don't have unprotected sex, kids."

One of the reasons I lost interest in those movies. Not just the sex, but also drugs and drinking and loud music.

I too prefer people act with decorum in my horror movies.

Ha. I'm saying those movies "punishing" the characters for doing those things comes off as very conservative and uptight. But at the same time, it also glorifies the sex and violence, which comes off as hypocritical. Like, its obviously meant to titillate the viewer when they show a pair of bare breasts.

I was much too young the first time i saw this(or maybe just part of it). The scene of the guy eating the heart was seared into my brain.

I first saw it when I was in the fourth grade. My buddy was sleeping over and we somehow had gotten free HBO. As the sex scene was playing, my mom walked in the room and I was dying inside thinking she was going to see the tv and I’d get in trouble, but luckily she don’t run around until after the sex scene was over. She saw the guy covered in blood and said “I don’t like you guys watching this stuff.” And tuned and left.

I was pretty young seeing it too. The scene where the girl is ripped up the way was scarred in my brain for the longest time. Thus film was honestly just pure gore back in the day. There's even a scene when a guy just melts!

This scene, and the liquid nitrogen scene in Jason X are my 2 fav Jason kills.

Agreed, the liquid nitrogen kill is the best of the franchise.

Gnarly.
I can't say I \*like\* any of the major slasher franchise films because most of them are really just trash, but you gotta respect the work that went into creating the practical effects for these.

Thats why people love them. If you went in looking for an engaging story line, you fucked up.

Scream has mostly managed to maintain a level of quality despite being a slasher franchise, you just have to ignore 7.

Holy f***, yeah, Scream 7 was awful. I'm a huge fan of the franchise, even 4-6, but 7 was truly bad.

I didn't really like 6 either.

Not as good as the sleeping bag against the tree, but still a good kill

PS. This is the first Friday the 13th movie to show male nudity. And you only see it in the Uncut Version and not Theatrical version

I take it you mean "full frontal" male nudity? Because I definitely recall the occasional dude ass every dozen or so titties. Kevin Bacon for 1 in 1.

None of the sequels showed a mans ass besides this one.

Oh wow! Just learned that the infamous Kevin Bacon ass still from the first Friday 13th movie is an urban legend/extra production still as this website incorrectly attributes here [NSFW](https://cultsploitation.com/nsfw-all-of-friday-the-13th-nudity-in-one-post/). But this one is legit:
Friday 13th Part 4: During a skinny-dipping sequence at the lake, actors Alan Hayes (playing Paul) and Lawrence Monoson (playing Ted) are shown briefly from behind.
[NSFW: Clip](https://www.xgif.cc/gif/wavyscalysulphurbutterfly/)
Still, pretty crazy that I imagined a lot more dude ass than there actually was. Lol. Thanks for helping me to correctly refresh my memory!

PeneItalianoMar 24, 2026
Yeah. I knew what I was speaking about. Lol.
The franchise had t*** in every movie but only showed man ass once, maybe twice. Briefly.
And that’s because the majority of the audience for these movies were teenagers, but boys more than girls. So they cater to them.

I just watched parts 4, 5, 6 this week and there is definitely man ass in part 4 during the skinny dipping scene.

Was “uncut” version a double entendre?

I like it too. It’s stupid but entertaining.
But the uncut version is the way to go because it shows the kills uncut. The theatrical release famously edited out a lot of the footage of the kills.

The beginning scene is great too with the agent showering to set up the trap for Jason . This is really the only Jason movie I've watched idk why

TransatlanticaccentMar 24, 2026
This movie is weird to me in the sense that this is the unrated version and it's not that bad but the R rated version could pretty much be PG-13 for the violence in it. The nudity and cursing are still there but the violence is massively toned down to almost nothing except for melting sheriff towards the end. The unrated version is just a basic R rated slasher. Idk what needed to be unrated about it.

PeneItalianoMar 24, 2026

The theatrical cut down the sex scene too and limited his nudity.
2
TransatlanticaccentMar 24, 2026

Yeah I was just more saying they still had it in there. They kept nudity and cursing. This sex scene has way more nudity than the theatrical. Chick by the fire gets naked and you see a quick shot of the girl in the tent and that's it. This unrated has way more in the tent and she gets split.

My eyes read that as “Japan Goes to Hell” at a glance.
