Lmaooo Kid Rock really thought this was gonna be his big comeback. What a loser!

55 year old Kid Rock… is the Steven Seagal of music. Edit: Thank you fellow Listnookors for the generous awards. 🙏🏾

Hell yeah, dude.
13
MermaidsBooty Apr 17, 2026 +81
Kid Rock is 55?!?!! Holy shit that’s a f****** rough 55.
81
GearhedMG Apr 17, 2026 +47
He was a rough looking 30, it's never improved from there.
47
Amazing_Karnage Apr 17, 2026 +42
Dude's always looked like a skeezy meth head, despite being solidly upper middle-class. He's Jesse Pinkman without any of the morals.
42
GearhedMG Apr 18, 2026 +10
Or, he's Clarence and went to Cranbrook, IYKYK.
10
Christmas_Queef Apr 18, 2026 +6
Oh hes more than upper middle class. He grew up rich.
6
non_Beneficial-Wind Apr 17, 2026 +14
Looking 30 at 18 is only good for a bit. Then you look like amphetamine cook
14
arodriguez001 Apr 18, 2026 +5
He got run without oil on a dirt road

Kid Rock is also the Fred Durst of Ted Nugents.

I’m pretty sure this is genius but the more I try to understand it, the more it hurts. I’ll just trust my instincts; genius.

Difference is, I can pay basically nothing to watch Seagal fatman slow-fu through bad guys from the comfort of my own couch. Even if the tickets were free, I'd still have to actually invest time out of my life to go listen to Kid Rock's "music".
24
wornoutseed Apr 17, 2026 +11
Lmao slow-fu
11
TeutonicDragon Apr 17, 2026 +18
But Steven Seagal is already the Steven Seagal of music
18
aflockofcrows Apr 17, 2026 +6
One of those two had Stevie Wonder guest on his album, and it wasn't Kid Rock.
6
petewondrstone Apr 17, 2026 +15
Pretty sure Steven Seagal is the Kid Rock of acting
15
Amazing_Karnage Apr 17, 2026 +15
Listening to his lyrics, he's more about Kid R*** than any actual rock. Yeah, I see you, Mr. Robert "I like 'em underage, see some say that's statutory (but I say that's mandatory),” Ritchie. F****** vile.

He’s been getting propped up for decades now. When was his last hit?
169
SpeshollK Apr 17, 2026 +133
Sheryl Crow duet? Which was a shit song anyway but it got a lot of airtime.
133
Queephbubble Apr 17, 2026 +71
I imagine she wants to forget that song as much as the rest of us
71
emoyer68 Apr 17, 2026 +60
It was a few years later that he shat on Warren Zevon and Skynyrd with “All summer long.”
60
Hayterfan Apr 17, 2026 +33
Don't remember who said it but everytime I hear that song I remember a quote that goes something like "You're not making a great song better, your making it shit by attaching it to you"
33
lwright3 Apr 17, 2026 +26
Hank Hill said something along those lines about christian rock...
26
Gym_Dom Apr 17, 2026 +21
“You’re not making Christianity better. You’re just making rock and roll worse.”
21
1egg_4u Apr 17, 2026 +24
I f****** hate that song so f****** much I feel like my ears bleed when I hear it You can't rhyme "things" with just "things" again damnit
24
The_Mellow_Tiger Apr 17, 2026 +23
I f****** despise him for that song alone. I hear it come on and I think "f*** yeah! Werewolves of London!" And then that sentient bar room urinal opens his f****** trap and ruins my f****** day.
23
lykathea2 Apr 17, 2026 +6
That song is a total abomination.
6
UnderwhelmingAF Apr 17, 2026 +63
Probably, and that song was released in 2002.

26

It sure got me all sweaty. But, like, wake up in the middle of the night with food poisoning about to shit the bed kinda sweats.
10
Prometheus158 Apr 17, 2026 +24
That shitty mix of sweet home Alabama and werewolves of london that they played the shit out of in the late 2000's? That's the last time I remember him being relevant musically
24
_kinda_RadisH_ Apr 17, 2026 +21
As Bad Bunny pointed out, his last hit was before we started using WIFI.
21
Phrainkee Apr 17, 2026 +3
I know his actual fans would say different but to me he's a one hit wonder. *I wanna be a cowboy babaaay*
3
Prometheus158 Apr 17, 2026 +3
Meh I remember them playing the shit out of that bawitdabaw song or however that shit went.
3
NotSoFastLady Apr 17, 2026 +25
Maybe I'm wearing a tin foil hat on this one. Certainly seems to suggest that maybe seventy seven million people didn't actually vote for Trump. Lots of people in his camp are only there to make money. Seeing is how some of them have ramped up these Grand Designs for-profit.You have to wonder about the numbers.
25
Dirt-McGirt Apr 17, 2026 +7
A lot of them are poor and can’t afford entertainment. The “temporarily embarrassed millionaires”

Rats and sinking ships.
650
Nerdlinger Apr 17, 2026 +167
I mean, he’s only dropping out of one stop. The rat is still on the ship for other stops.
167
Crunchberry24 Apr 17, 2026 +73
So it’s more like shore leave for the rat. I confess that I didn’t take the clickbait.
73
OldButHappy Apr 17, 2026 +12
In it for the cheese
12
ImpossibleInternet3 Apr 17, 2026 +35
Yet they replaced him with Staind. Apparently some rats are still in line to get on that ship. Crazy to be a position where you need a gig that badly.

F*** Staind! He opened for a band here and couldn’t keep his political bullshit out. Can’t believe I used to listen to his c***
20
StoriesandStones Apr 18, 2026 +4
I finally found out recently (yeah I’m Old and OOTL on most celebrity stuff) how shitty Staind guy was and it’s a bummer, a couple of their songs really got me through some feelings. Like when I found out the Pantera guy was shitty. Man, that was my first concert in 92! I caught a dimebag Darryl guitar pick! Rob Zombie’s not up to anything scummy, is he?
4
ImpossibleInternet3 Apr 17, 2026 +12
Oh I know. It’s still crazy that they’d need a show with such bad press. But even monsters have to eat. And obviously they don’t mind the optics.
12
AManisSimplyNoOne Apr 17, 2026 +5
When Staind came out with Break the Cycle I fricking LOVED that album and I practically wore it out. I got a chance to see them live, during the early 2000s, and literally the singer had to keep talking about blowing up the middle east, and other Bush era talking points. Now he is country singer that is all into MAGA. Looking back, I find it all highly ironic. A guy that literally whined in every other song about how SHITTY childhood and parenting is, now is one those family values guys. "Where were you, with all this I was going through, you never took the time --" Well by his own logic, he should have joined the service, took responsibility, manned up, hit the gym and all the other things those toxic MAGA influencers talk about.
5
K_Linkmaster Apr 17, 2026 +21
Jelly roll is still a maga influencer, no free pass.
21
CDChristine89 Apr 17, 2026 +5
There will always be the rat that drowns with the ship. Kid rock is that rat.
5
Amazing_Karnage Apr 17, 2026 +1331
Naaaaaah, not Jelly tryin to back away from MAGA now without gettin any stink on him. He bought a ticket on the Turdtanic, now he gets to sink with it.

NegotiationTall4300 Apr 17, 2026 +502
We’re beginning to enter the era where people were “never really pro trump” they just hated the democrats or whatever
502
RVAforthewin Apr 17, 2026 +229
This. We’re going to watch a plethora of entertainers, media personalities, and GOP politicians try to distance and disassociate themselves from MAGA in the coming years. In two decades, we will have all *sorts* of former MAGA claim they never truly were MAGA, and at least half of current MAGA will do the same once MAGA isn’t in power and it becomes shameful to be associated with the movement (even more shameful than it already is). MTG, Candace Owens, and Tucker Carlson are just the start. Edited to correct Candace’s last name after a very nice listnookor pointed out my mistake :)
229
Odninyell Apr 17, 2026 +97
It’s both satisfying to watch MAGA lose support but also saddening to know many supporters will escape accountability this way.
97
squanderedprivilege Apr 17, 2026 +56
I'll never forgive them. I'm never talking to my aunt & uncle again and will not attend their funerals
56
cactus22minus1 Apr 17, 2026 +7
Well we don’t have to let them live it down. It’s pretty easy to remember all the assholes that jumped on the maga train. All the companies, celebs and especially: the influencers.
7
politics Apr 17, 2026 +14
You know a big chunk of that support fought tooth and nail against desegregation, hated MLK and JFK, and now pretend they supported them all along. Same thing will happen in 35-50 years time.
14
putonyourjamjams Apr 17, 2026 +66
And we as a society cant let them. They need their noses rubbed in it for everybody to see. If we let them slink away from the absolute mess they've made, they'll do it again. There is no learning from mistakes with them, just fear of the consequences.

Whoaaaaa there! I think you mean Candace Owens lol. Don't you be dragging Lady Vol royalty into that shit heap.

5

Oh, that absolutely will be echoed even more once Trump is gone. **Never** let them off the hook.

He’s MAGA and anti trans.
36

Him being anti trans is funny cause he looks like an old lady with both his earrings in
29
ManateeNipples Apr 17, 2026 +3
Well that's unfortunate. Wtf
3
Ok-Thanks4321 Apr 17, 2026 +9
I think it’s a little of both. I don’t think he’s a full blown MAGA dude, but is sympathetic to country music and the country music fans who like rap. There’s been a weird blend of those two genres over the last decade or more. I think Nelly and Tim McGraw might still be homies from Over and Over. I don’t think Ashanti is MAGA or would wanna be with a MAGA dude either, but who knows how people vote anymore. Everyone talks one way and votes another.

Bluesky quote: Trump is like the human version of the One Ring (JRR Tolkien’s Lord of the Rings). You cannot use him for good, or even really your own purpose. He’s an inherently corrupting power that only ever serves the one master, himself. When you use him, you become bound to his will.
30
DJPho3nix Apr 17, 2026 +8
He's only backing out of one date. He's still on for two others.
8
GunnieGraves Apr 17, 2026 +9
He didn’t even back out because of kid rock or anything. Did it because it was falling apart. It was the money issue, not the ethics for him.
9
AgentNose Apr 17, 2026 +5
I doubt it. I think the money isn’t there to pay performers now so he just backed out. If the check would clear, that fat gross f*** still would be performing.
5
Neggor Apr 17, 2026 +6
Article says he’s still set to perform on other tour dates at other venues. Doesn’t sound like he’s backing away from MAGA (yet).

It’s still going to be so good! Kid Rock will play his 3 hit songs, followed by a dumb “patriotic song”, then announces RFK Jr is in the house. Spotlight hits on Jr chugging a gallon of milk straight from the cow with his shirt off, then followed by nonsense from him and back to the stage before Jr hurls it up. Uncle Kracker hits the stage, plays his two songs and show is over. Epic times for an epic timeline.

"SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (Dakota News Now) - Multi-platinum rock band STAIND is now headlining the June 28th Rock the Country music festival in Sioux Falls, replacing Jelly Roll, who cannot perform due to a scheduling conflict. Formed in 1995, STAIND has released eight studio albums, with Break The Cycle being their most notable, reaching 5x platinum and featuring the hit “It’s Been Awhile,” which spent 20 weeks at number 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 and became a staple of modern rock radio. Other hits include “Fade,” “For You,” and “So Far Away.” The Rock The Country lineup in Sioux Falls includes Kid Rock, STAIND, Brantley Gilbert, Chris Janson, and more, featuring both national headliners and rising artists." JFC. They are really trying to talk this up. For reference, other top artist from 1995 include "Hootie and the Blowfish", "Coolio" and "Boyz II Men".

Jelly Roll said he wasn't political, yet he is 100% MAGA and was perfectly fine being in the tour, until the money wasn't right.

Another failed MAGA production.

God it's frustrating reading comments when they obviously didn't read the article. Jelly Roll isn't backing away from Kid Rock/MAGA, he's still a piece of shit and playing this tour: >Rock band Staind will step in as his replacement. The Rock the Country festival has faced challenges moving tickets, with some concerned it might be called off. Jelly Roll enthusiasts can still catch the 41-year-old artist performing at the Bloomingdale, Georgia, and Ashland, Kentucky, dates on the tour.

The problem was his $$ cut was going to be diminished with the ticket price cuts. Nothing to do with being associated with the evil party they affiliate with.

Conscious_Exit_9129 Apr 17, 2026 +4
Kid Rock should be doing free concerts at state fairs.

CosmoKing2 Apr 18, 2026 +4
Jelly Roll is still gonna become the new/old Kid Rock. Unless his heart explodes first. His 15 minutes is - what time is it now?

I've only seen Jelly Roll once, on SNL. I thought it was the worst, most pretentious c***. So I find it pretty funny that he's jumping ship.
3
CJKayak Apr 17, 2026 +3
Jelly Roll is as big of a loser as Kid Rock ever thought about being. "Yeah, I'm a racist bigot, so I was going to play with him, but there wasn't enough money in it for me."
3
Ok_Profession_990 Apr 17, 2026 +3
$99 is still too much. I saw Kid Rock back in 99 and he was ok but I saw him at a festival, 20 bands for $20 and I don't think I would pay more than that and that's just because he had a midget then. You would have to pay me to see KidRock of 2026
