I would be surprise that National Park staff are trumpers. The Trump administration's 2026 budget proposal for the National Park Service proposed cutting over $1 billion—the largest in its 109-year history—reducing operations by $900 million and threatening to cut 350+ sites, or about 75% of the system. These proposed cuts include reducing staff, reducing maintenance, and exploring the transfer of some sites to state control. I would say that many of them would likely rather take a piss on Trump's picture than get upset by a bear STICKER.

I sincerely love John Oliver, but honestly I haven’t watched him since Trump won his second term. It’s not like Oliver isn’t great, but I just really can’t find any humor in what Trump is doing and it feels almost like constantly making fun of someone with cancer for having cancer. Even though it may be funny, I’m just disgusted by the actions of this administration, and don’t find the attempt to make jokes about it entertaining. I’ll come back to it, when I’m more numb to what’s going on. He isn’t going to change, so the only option is to become numb to it.
