Donnie Yen is fantastic. Also I thought Ballerina was a nice movie.

Ballerina wasn’t bad, I enjoyed it for what it was. but I went into it not expecting a new John Wick movie.

His name is Caine and he uses a cane. 10/10, no notes.

Was he called Caine before he went blind?

Depends… does John Wick 4 take place before or after Rogue One?

Nominative determinism strikes again!

I also think they called gim Caine because he kill his “brother”, twice.

Ballerina was real decent. It wasn’t a misfire.

I think they meant it was a misfire at the box office. Theres a good amount of well done movies that dont make their money back at the box office anymore, its unfortunate.

Ballerina was not a misfire, but poorly marketed.

Misfire? Ballerina was a hoot. Production timeline was absurd though.

This is the 2nd *blind* character Donnie Yen will play, after his role in Star Wars Rogue One. Interesting that he’s played two blind characters now.

It was absolutely not a misfire. Wiseman has confirmed ideas for a Ballerina sequel, the bos office, while not fantastic, still surpassed their budget, and considering the lack of marketing, there probably wasn't any added cost either. It got positive reviews from critics and praise from audiences. Misfire? I don't think so.

A misfire in terms of box office, I guess.

Ballerina was fine. But of a slog opening act but as soon as we get to grown up Ballerina is kicks off nicely and keeps going. Also that whole fight scene with explosives was really something.

I agree. I was real worried I’d hate the movie after the clunky, expository opening, but by the time it reached the kitchen fight in the middle with just plate after plate getting smashed on each other’s heads I was all in.

Ballerina while not bad was just boring and the same old same old. I think we need to let Mr.Wick and this franchise rest.
