Listening to Jeanine Pirro rant about the decision. Jesus F****** Christ she is deranged.
She ranted on and on how she would prosecute "any case" where she saw anything to suggest a crime, even if just to be sure there wasn't one...and I wanted a reporter to ask then why she hasn't investigated Trump over Epstein connections just to see if she would spontaneously combust.

State ethics bars across the country require prosecutors not pursue a case if they don't have a good faith belief they can win it at an eventual trial.
She flat out admitted she prosecutes the cases to find out if she can ***develop*** said good faith belief.
Mere suggestion of illegality is not sufficient.

The evidentiary standards for issuing subpoenas and obtaining warrants are weighed so heavily in the prosecution's favor they might as well be a blank check during normal operations.
The fact that Pirro failed to obtain multiple grand jury indictments ("couldn't even indict the proverbial ham sandwich") for these political prosecutions speaks volumes about how they're operating in bad faith in service of Dear Leader.

What's crazy is she would never take that tone or allege what she was saying in that presser if she, herself, was under oath.
I'm just so over the insane level of blatant lying from this admin. People hedge, but this admin just lies their face off and it doesn't matter because they are just at a podium rather than in a witness box.

Yeah. That's purely an excuse to go after the cases she wants to even when they lack merit. Doesn't apply to anything she doesn't want to pursue, of course.

This would explain why she's having trouble getting a grand jury to indict a ham sandwich.

They're going to cut rates, which will turbocharge inflation. In general, it's better to hold assets than cash in a period of high inflation. Just my two cents.

I guess it would depend on if you need maximum liquid assets right now or near future because things are going to go shit in the short term/medium term/potentially longterm

JP doesn’t get to choose the rate and the chair member that replaces him will not either. I don’t expect any wild swings in the interest rates once he leaves. The fed has been pretty aligned in their voting. Fortunately the 12 members of the Fed committee each only have 1 vote preventing a takeover by whoever succeeds JP and making changes at the whim of the president.
Not saying there wont be any chaos with the new fed chair, however it’s a lot harder to disrupt with the current rules in place.

gobrewers112Mar 14, 2026

It seems like the chair has the most sway though in the committee? Why would trumper dumper want him out so much then?

>"The Government has produced essentially zero evidence to suspect Chair Powell of a crime; indeed, its justifications are so thin and unsubstantiated that the Court can only conclude that they are pretextual," \[the judge\] wrote.
If the judge themselves is saying the government made up the case to attack an official, can those responsible be punished for it? Sanction the prosecutors? Anything?

The way certain media figures are spinning this is genuinely unhinged. It's terrifying to think about the economic chaos that could be unleashed if this kind of pressure becomes the norm.
