>*The lawsuit claimed the advertisers acted against their own economic self-interests in a conspiracy against the platform that violated U.S. antitrust law.* Musk, once again, claiming victimization as he approaches trillionaire status.

Everything is a conspiracy when you're too dumb to understand how anything works
270
BloodFartz69 Mar 26, 2026 +124
Everything is a conspiracy when your father is a pedo who married his adopted daughter and you begged to go to pedo island but were too weird to get in.

ArchmageXin Mar 26, 2026 +23
What really infuriate me sometimes is people would claim "well how are you in a position to criticize Musk when he build an empire while you don't. And look how many millionaires started with more resources than Musk but didn't build the same/better Empire" Le sigh.
23
BloodFartz69 Mar 26, 2026 +19
Born on third base and thinks he hit a home run.
19
ArchmageXin Mar 26, 2026 +3
I mean the point is, there are plenty of men and women who born on third base and didn't reach Musk level. Which is infuriating to argue against.
3
FriendlyDespot Mar 26, 2026 +7
You go up against a weird coalition of wealthy people who refuse to believe in any degree of luck because it dilutes their self-importance, and poor people who refuse to believe that luck is a significant part of most successes because they cling to the notion that if they just work hard enough then they too will be rich.
7
errolstafford Mar 26, 2026 +4
I'm going to be that guy, but in your favor... >but we're too weird to get in. \*were

BloodFartz69 Mar 26, 2026 +5
Fixed! Thanks.

impulsekash Mar 26, 2026 +23
He is dumb but not that dumb. The truth is he just a spoiled brat who doesn't like being told no and has too much money so he can retaliate.
23
kaisadilla_ Mar 26, 2026 +10
Musk isn't dumb, but you don't need to be dumb to act like one. Too much ego can make you wildly overestimate your skills and knowledge and end up with you living a life of stupid decisions.
10
Broken_Reality Mar 26, 2026 +13
He also isn't smart. He's an average to mediocre man with raging narcissism and some ability to bullshit about things that investors and markets somehow believe despite him never following through on the promises (lies) he makes. The number of things his companies have said they will do and then failed to do for on average a decade is shocking. FSD is still not up to standard. Roadster is never happening (certainly not with the rocket thrusters he said it would have for cornering lol), Starship is still the worlds most expensive firework, the electric lorry is still not really a thing, his robots are 15 years or so behind Boston Dynamics and certainly won't be intelligent and run by AI like he claims, his "AI" is not sentient and intelligent like he claims and so on and so forth. Musk is a master bullshitter but that's it. He has never had an original idea. All his ideas are stolen from other people or sci-fi. Hyperloop for example.
13
kaisadilla_ Mar 27, 2026 +2
Can't say I disagree. The more you read his twitter, the more evident it is that he's a random Internet troll who thinks he knows way more than he does.
2
fresh-dork Mar 26, 2026 +5
it isn't that he's dumb, he's just got a massive ego and believes himself to be the brightest boy that ever drew breath
5
Toomanyeastereggs Mar 26, 2026 +4
He is the reigning world champion at Dunning-Krueger.
4
fresh-dork Mar 26, 2026 +2
just like anything else, he isn't the best, only the most well known. we all have a drunk uncle who knows everything about anything and will tell you if given half a chance. they just don't have a media network
2
Broken_Reality Mar 26, 2026 +1
He's a classic narcissist.
1
rustyrazorblade Mar 26, 2026 +6
He understands *exactly* how it works, because it's a broken system, and he's great at exploiting both people and broken systems. Not actually doing anything of value, just exploitation.
6
Lucius-Halthier Mar 26, 2026 +60
Didn’t pasty ol muskie actually tell advertisers in a sit down interview, in front of an audience to go f*** themselves?

Yes he did

>Disney advertises on nazi network. I boycott Disney Disney loses a few bucks Disney stops paying to advertise on nazi network. I patronize Disney. Disney gains a few bucks. Yet, somehow, this against Disney's economic self-interest.
21
DerExperte Mar 26, 2026 +16
That argument could maaaayyyybeeee work if there were only one advertiser in the whole US, so an advertising monopoly. But there were still lots and lots who didn't have an issue with Nazimusk.

So justice is similar to gravity - in that you can escape it's force given enough funding ...

Please let me know how a trillionaires money just evaporates. I would like it to happen to a ton of people.
3
Local-Echo-5613 Mar 26, 2026 +13
It’s all tied up in stock value, which is currently inflated by promises of robotaxis and factories on the moon, as well as his access to government funding. If a hostile administration were to cut off his contracts and prosecute him for all of his accumulated bad behavior, the value of his stock would plummet and he’d have enormous legal liabilities. But we all know how the world works, he’ll die rich.
13
fresh-dork Mar 26, 2026 +6
also, it's leveraged - he's got a bunch of loans against stock with tons of unrealized gains. that's why he was so nervous when TSLA stock was dipping: if it goes to low, his stock backed loan gets called, he's forced to sell at a low point, and it wipes out a chunk of his value, as the sale itself triggers further losses
6
kaisadilla_ Mar 26, 2026 +4
Musk forgot the part that he actually had to prove there was a conspiracy in court, unlike in Twitter where you just state it and people blindly believe you.
4

Judge, hello, yes, please compel everyone to gibe momey  My argument is they're mean if they dom't 🥺🥺🥺

Waiting for Elon to sue the public for not buying Teslas after he did that Nazi salute.
2
VPN__FTW Mar 27, 2026 +1
Wouldn't the investors themselves have to sue, not an arbitrary third party? Like how was Musk personally damaged (from Pepsi's side of it) if PepsiCo decided it wanted to spend its ad dollars elsewhere or not at all?
1
jimtow28 Mar 26, 2026 +1402
Is it just me, or do these "free market absolutists" seem to absolutely hate it when the free market does things that they don't like?
1402
munoodle Mar 26, 2026 +370
It means “rules that stop me from doing what I want to do are bad,” and literally takes no critical thought beyond that point. Elon’s lack of critical thinking skill are bordering on SMI at this point

Just like they're free speech absolutists but only for their own opinions.
70
captHij Mar 26, 2026 +40
They think free speech means others should be forced to listen to them. Just like they think there should be no limitations in them providing a service but others should be forced to support it. Absolutely no ability to accept that others should also be able to live their lives.
40
AdFlaky9983 Mar 26, 2026 +4
Yep, for them to be so “freedom of speech” they don’t understand that that ONLY means the government can’t censor them. You can still get punched in the face for saying dumb shit.
4
Frowny575 Mar 26, 2026 +5
These people love to harp about the Constitution, but at the same time can't parse such a simple amendment taught in grade school. Social media has been a curse giving absolute morons a way to scream from the rooftops.
5

Free speech absolutists but you better not say shit about Charlie Kirk or they'll cancel your ass in a heartbeat And meanwhile the president himself tweets that he's glad Robert Mueller is dead

They have money. "We the People" are just getting in their way. They are without a clue.
3
iprobablybrokeit Mar 26, 2026 +3
When interacting with them, be due to explain that "cancelling people" is just free market capitalism at work. No-one should be forced to pay a private entity to perform, speak, influence, etc. Changing free market capitalism to "cancellation" isn't going to get Roseanne her job back.
3

I just said that to my wife much less eloquently. I believe the word I used was, "waaaaaaaaaaaaaaa".
2
Badgerman97 Mar 27, 2026 +2
You mean the same free speech absolutists who ban accounts for saying things they don’t like?
2
supercyberlurker Mar 26, 2026 +293
I expect Musk to handle this in a calm professional well-adjusted way. .. by immediately attacking the judge as a pedophile, blasting trans people for causing this, then checking his spreadsheet for which of his children will still speak to him, then rageposting about how free speech is his right and he's being treated unfairly.
293
WilliamInBlack Mar 26, 2026 +59
Sounds about right 👌
59
evocativename Mar 26, 2026 +26
What do you think the odds are that he tells Grok to make CSAM involving the judge?
26
Bovronius Mar 26, 2026 +3
He probably did that as soon as the case started just for his own entertainment, now he'll be doing it out of spite.
3
fresh-dork Mar 26, 2026 +1
will he be posting it under other peoples' accounts?
1
Bovronius Mar 26, 2026 +2
The spite ones he'll definitely post as himself. The entertainment ones, well those he'll keep for himself and ketamine fueled wank sessions. (Someone that loves ketamine will correct me Im sure on the existence of K fueled wankoffs, and I honestly don't care.)

In times like these, I remember he's such a f****** loser he couldn't even get a handy from a girl by offering her a race horse.
9
TheLightningL0rd Mar 26, 2026 +5
He'll probably also dox the judge's family, you know, like he's already done just last year.
5
Broken_Reality Mar 26, 2026 +2
Don't forget "impregnating some random woman with yet another son" He only wants sons which is why he is so bent out of shape about trans issues. Vivian broke him because not only is she trans she also committed the sin of changing her name from starting with an X to a V. We all know how much of an obsession Musk has with the letter X.
2
Outlulz Mar 26, 2026 +1
A lot of those advertisers went crawling back to make Trump happy in the meantime, I don't think he'll make that big a deal.
1
somewherein72 Mar 26, 2026 +99
Oh, so advertisers shouldn't *go f*** themselves* now?
99
Who_Dafqu_Said_That Mar 26, 2026 +57
God that line was so f****** cringe, more cringle than his trying to jump and make an X with his 2 inch vertical. You can totally tell he thought he was going to get a wild reaction from the audience, and it just fell completely flat. "guys, I told the advertisers to f*** themselves, how cool am I? ...please clap"
57

Yeah he even repeated it again as if people didn't hear him the first time.

And with prejudice lmao Get fucked Elon
143
Li_liminal_spaces Mar 26, 2026 +46
He was literally on stage telling them to f*** off, this is the dumbest lawsuit in history.
46
Consistent-Throat130 Mar 26, 2026 +7
But he still wasted their time and money defending it this far.
7
man_eat_man Mar 26, 2026 +56
Never made sense from day 1. It's my money, my ad, my choice. So why would a billionaire dictate where and how I should advertise?
56
o_MrBombastic_o Mar 26, 2026 +34
Because peasant you don't get to have a choice, in the feudal state Republicans want to create billionaires get to dictate every aspect of your life
34
VonSkullenheim Mar 26, 2026 +5
Because he claimed it was conspiracy, that the very advertisers he told to f*** off then *illegally colluded* together to...f*** off. He also claimed they didn't do it in response to Twitter literally promoting nazi and hate speech accounts and unbanning tons of previously banned nazis and bigots, it's because they had secret meetings to pull their advertising for the sole reason of causing financial struggles. The drugs are clearly doing wonders for Elon's ability to think.
5
Pole420 Mar 26, 2026 +42
What the f*** is an illegal boycott?
42
malektewaus Mar 26, 2026 +53
A boycott that hurts little Elon's precious fee fees.
53
ImpulseAfterthought Mar 26, 2026 +28
Musk's lawyers argued that the advertisers had colluded in ways prohibited by federal antitrust laws in the US. Interestingly, the judge's decision seems to hinge on the fact that no evidence of such collusion was presented by Musk's team. So the basic argument wasn't really addressed. Musk's team failed to show that the advertisers colluded, and that failure was so complete that the judge told them, "Don't bring this back to court."
28
SysAdminDennyBob Mar 26, 2026 +19
In Texas if a company publicly states "I refuse to buy from Israel" you can no longer do business with the State of Texas. That's as close as they can get to defining an "illegal" boycott. Same with boycotting fossil fuels.
19
biggsteve81 Mar 26, 2026 +2
Same with North Carolina. Whenever I do contract work for the state I have to sign an affidavit certifying that I am not engaged in a boycott of the state of Israel.
2
TheLightningL0rd Mar 26, 2026 +2
And firearms/ammunition manufacturers.
2
Slypenslyde Mar 26, 2026 +6
They were arguing collusion. That would mean the companies would have to be privately, off-the-record, agreeing to practices to deceive others or gain an advantage against competition. If there were emails between any of the companies discussing a strategy to put Twitter out of business, that'd be collusion. But no such emails exist. The companies read the room and had large amounts of their own customers' sentiment to use as the basis for their decisions. It's painfully obvious they were independent decisions. But if you have enough money there's really no penalty to filing a lawsuit even with no evidence.
6
mrdominoe Mar 26, 2026 +54
Advertisers tend not to jump ship when you aren't a f****** Nazi piece of shit.
54

I hope Musk has a public crashout over this I need the entertainment
26
Yahyathegamer749 Mar 26, 2026 +2
He's probably whining like a baby "WHY AREN'T YOU USING X TO ADVERTISE YOUR PRODUCT"
2
Reachforthesky777 Mar 26, 2026 +23
Dismissed with prejudice, as one might expect. I wonder whether Muck actually expected this to pan out or if the lawsuit itself was performative.
23
TechieSidhe Mar 26, 2026 +34
So he's mad because he thinks he's owed a profit? I forget he's Epstein class. Hoard the profit, and if something happens due your bad decisions, the public will be asked to subsidize their loss.
34
Calcutec_1 Mar 26, 2026 +14
The claim was always going to fail on the simple fact that in a free market you choose to where and where not to buy advertising.
14
AlphSaber Mar 26, 2026 +9
Didn't he also tell them that if they didn't like it they should stop advertising in the platform?
9

That such a lawsuit even existed is a joke.
6

Iirc he told advertisers to "f*** off" and then had the audacity to get upset when they did
3
sogladatwork Mar 27, 2026 +3
Haha. It's incredibly funny that Musk's lawyers milked him like this. It was a clearly dumb lawsuit that had zero chance of success, but Musk's lawyers needed some OT.

It should be referred to as the crybaby lawsuit.

He's on record telling them to go . . . you know what he said.
1

As unusual as it is for marketing departments to choose *not* to use an advertising option if they've got the budget for it, they clearly did nothing wrong in this case.
1

The capitalist free market runs both ways, Muskrat…

What, pray tell, makes a company deciding it’s in its best interest not not be associated with authoritarianism, ‘illegal’? Logically this should be no more than maybe a breach of contract suit.
1
SicSemperCogitarius Mar 27, 2026 +1
Serious question: Can a boycott be illegal?
1
Angry_Walnut Mar 27, 2026 +1
It is a blight on humanity that the likes of this assclown has made so much money and that this is the type of person that ignorant and/or unscrupulous fools seek to emulate. He’s literally the biggest loser I have ever seen.
