Everyone says this but whenever something happens it’s posted and receives a bunch of comments, shares, and upvotes within hours. Algorithms don’t care what you said, just that you interacted with it. Kanye himself probably doesn’t care what we’re saying as long as his name is in our mouths. Unfortunately, judging by the quick view I saw of that stream yesterday, I’m not sure if anything has had an effect on his music career. The commenters didn’t care. The views were super high. Articles still constantly come out about him. At this point I feel like a celebrity could commit murder on camera and post it on X and they still wouldn’t lose their fans… I love and hate this planet.

It's relative... 10 years ago it would have been all anyone could talk about, and now many of the people who were fans then won't even bother to listen to it.  He still has fans left, just like... A quarter of what he had. A quarter of what he had is still more than 95% of artists.  He's basically like JK Rowling lol. Dude nuked his legacy. It is borderline impossible to listen to his genuinely amazing discography without having "slavery is a choice" "I love hitler" and the million other things he's said floating in the back of my mind.
