My best friend grew up with her in SB. We hung out a bunch right before I kissed a girl came out. Even after she was chill as hell. Spent Easter at her house with that lovely ex of hers Russel brand. Nothing to say about him. She was always lovely to me and funny. It’s been 15 years since I’ve seen her. Not a fan of this track but I don’t know her now so I’ll reserve my personal judgements. Except the space thing. That was tone def.

Yeah she has tone deaf moments as I’ve said, but if true this is how I would expect her, maybe a bit out of touch at times but chill, funny and sweet. I’m not even really a fan of her she just reminds me of a friend of mine with the same vibes. Clearly being a pop star is a different world but if your story is true, then makes sense.

For what it’s worth, and this was quite some time ago when I was on warped tour in 08, she was the definition of an ditz. Constantly talking like a baby and acting like some helpless child, it was ridiculous. She was dating Travis from GymClassHeroes, a band I was homies with so we’d hang often. Didn’t matter if it was on the bus, or in the public eye, same behavior. I remember we were at a truck stop getting gas and snacks, there was this big stuffed bear inside she saw, and goes “aw, Travie, can I have that?!” in that valley girl baby voice. Even retelling this right now gives me the chills of cringe, a word I rarely use. Then there was the little fact that she didn’t even sing, straight back track doing all the work, at the HurleyStage of WarpedTour - which still gives me a good chuckle.
I also spent a lot of time with one of her former boyfriends from the “KatyHudson” days. Let’s just say I wasn’t too shocked about her lip syncing after some of stories were shared.
It’s wild that I haven’t thought of this on so long, just had a nostalgic trip down WarpedTour Ln with these flashbacks!

I guess all Biebs did was sing over YouTube clips of his videos and old home movies from when he was young.
Her saying, “I’m glad he has premium” is referring to a premium subscription to YouTube so everyone didn’t have to sit through unskippable commercials.
While it also being commentary that he isn’t doing anything new and they could be watching the same thing at home on YouTube.
I also think that YouTube is one of the bigger sponsors this year. In years past Hulu had the streaming rights while now it YouTube.

I understand cords are horribly annoying but it costs significant infrastructure investments to sustain exponentially increasing videos available to anyone around the world.
Ads are literally the only means to pay for it. That said, they could adopt the peacock model. Unskippable ads for 3 minutes in the beginning and middle instead of random ones all over the place. No need for skipable ads.
