Ah, the gross incompetence defence. That always works.

Can’t believe I’m agreeing with the Tories:
> Conservative leader Kemi Badenoch called for the PM to resign.
"The prime minister appointed Peter Mandelson before the vetting had been completed, vetting Mandelson failed," she said. "Starmer then said full due process was followed. That is misleading Parliament.
> "I'm only holding him to the same standards to which he's held previous prime ministers - that if they mislead parliament, they should resign.“
Obviously I know it’s some amount of conservative bullshit where they feign concern over the actions of liberals, but Starmer has also kinda sucked at even being a liberal

The UK is not the US. Labour and conservatives are both broadly speaking centrists. Labour and Starmer not really "liberals" as you called them/him. Maybe you could accuse the greens of being "liberals".

I don't think Labour is especially "liberal" (especially not this current crop of them, good lord) but they sure position themselves as that in comparison to the Conservatives.

American drivel labelling folk liberals etc. They are left of conservatives that's about it.

I think you're misunderstanding what liberals mean. A liberal is someone who supports liberalism which is a form of government based around individualism, basically like a less extreme form of libertarianism. It basically runs between center left to center right economically and center left socially.

No, you're getting UK and US politics mixed up. Possibly a bit of us defaultism. Not a fan of exporting US politics, they can keep it.

This was perhaps true 4 years ago. The Tories no longer push for the centre right and are more hard right to far right now. Labour now occupy that centre right political niche.

That doesn't make him look any better. It proves Starmer is incompetent and not fit for this office.

Sorry officer, I didn't know I wasn't allowed to drink and drive.
We can use this defence now?

You are deliberately mischaracterising what is being said though.
It would be like you:
1. Ordered non-alcoholic drinks
2. Were given drinks and told they are non-alcoholic by someone you trusted
3. Later got pulled over for drunk driving despite thinking you hadn’t drunk any alcohol
4. Explained the above.
You can question whether the story is true but it’s not the same as you are making it out to be.

Yeah this, it’s an absolute non story being cheerled by Farage and the Tories who are far worse.

It’s an apt comparison but I find the concept of Starmer asking for a non-pedo politician is really funny to me

Ignorance is no defence. Starmer doesn't know what day of the week it is until his paymasters tell him.
