The honorees were celebrated in Washington D.C. in December 2025. The Kennedy Center not too impressed with the honorees, kinda like how entertainment awards shows go nowadays. (I did watch the AARP awards last night).

It's one thing not to be a fan of country music, or pop-rock, or musical theater, and that's okay. I can understand not being impressed if you're not into these things. But to anyone who has familiarity with these areas, it is absolutely undeniable that George Straight has had a tremendous impact on country music, that KISS became and still remain icons, and that Michael Crawford is undoubtedly one of the best performers \*ever\* to grace musical theater. And the only reason I don't mention Gaynor or Stallone is because I really don't know much about disco and film.
