Overwhelmingly? Idk about that. Probably about 60-40, with lower support for Trump among officers and as you go up the ranks. Republicans are just really good at making everyone think they’re the party of the military and patriotism and bravery and principles… by being the loudest assholes in the room. There are a lot of h******* Christian nationalists in the military for sure, and they’re drinking the kool aid: getting it from their pastors, families, news, and friends. But there are also a lot of liberals, people who realize their military healthcare and benefits are socialist, govt-run, and way better than they had in civilian life. And nobody knows the true cost of war like military and veterans. I think a lot of people thought this would be like Trump’s first term: the adults in the room stopping him from doing the things he says he would? I’m not trying to make excuses for them. Anyone who voted Trump 2024 after 2016 and 2020 is either sociopathic or disconnected from reality. But the military on the whole does understand adversaries can fight back.
