He should pay for all that harmless

trogloherb Apr 3, 2026 +77
Thats what crosses my mind; as a taxpayer, how much did that little stunt cost me? Like, my understanding of helicopter flight is if you ever have to cover the cost of a “lifeline” medial flight, even with insurance, its in the tens of thousands, so how much did this cost us?
77
SirWEM Apr 3, 2026 +30
In 2012 my friend Josh(RIP) had a 10min life-flight from glens falls hospital to Albany Med in NY. That 10min cost him with insurance through our union over $45K. He didn’t even remember anything from it due to the traumatic brain injury.
30
SwingKey3599 Apr 3, 2026 +5
the raw cost of fuel is around 5k an hour
5
Numerous_Photograph9 Apr 3, 2026 +6
Military can't sharpen a pencil without it costing a couple hundred grand, so I imagine a fly by in an expensive helicopter manned by multiple servicemen is probably going to cost a bit.
6
Eisbaer811 Apr 3, 2026
Chances are this was a training flight. So no extra cost, whereas every lifeline flight is unplanned and therefore extra cost. Still a moronic thing to do and bad training, but hard to compare on a cost basis
0
BlakeSurfing Apr 3, 2026 -24
We were already paying for this flight regardless of the stunt. This isn’t costing us more. They need to fly regularly to maintain skills. There’s plenty of reasons to be upset with our DOD but this isn’t one of them.
-24
Neither-Ad8673 Apr 3, 2026 +19
I have enough room to be upset about one more thing
19
Donniedolphin Apr 3, 2026 +5
This is absolutely one of them. They could be doing anything else. Training for an actual combat scenario rather than doing a flyby for kid rock.
5
Numerous_Photograph9 Apr 3, 2026 +3
It's typical to fly well below safety decks in a civilian area so some aging irrelevant dumbass can feel special about himself? If they need to train fine...but it's not like they're doing something good here, or even legal. I'm also damn sure it breaks several codes of military conduct.
3
Potential_Day_7087 Apr 3, 2026 +2
Good try. It’s a needless waste of tax dollars and training time. And you know it.
2
steveguy13 Apr 3, 2026 +431
Nobody wants you around kid rock

DoubleThinkCO Apr 3, 2026 +79
Also ratting on all the other pilots too. Damn.

Mr_Wobble_PNW Apr 3, 2026 +16
Right? Like going into a restaurant and saying the staff usually hooks it up, but this time you're talking to the owner lmao some people never know when to stfu
16
steveguy13 Apr 4, 2026 +2
The owner gives not a f***. So much of a non f*** that the owner said f*** you to the shift manager in front of the whole f****** wait staff.

He reminds me of that episode of the Simpsons where Bart and Homer take over the ring toss game so a Carny and his son can attend an AA meeting. Chief Wiggum comes up saying he’s received complaints about the game being rigged, clearly fishing for a bribe. He spells it out to such a comical degree that even Bart picks up on it but is silenced by Homer who is “Busy talking to the policeman”. The best part is when Wiggum gives him one last chance to get on the trolley and Homer looks him dead in the eyes silently for a beat before proudly proclaiming “It’s A Ring Toss Game!” That’s Kid Rock. Just keep doubling down until people get tired of trying to call your bluff. He knows he can just tap in with his plugs at the methadone clinic to replenish his stash of delinquents who, for whatever reason, still vibe with his talentless ass. Let that be a lesson to you kids, opioids not even once (unless under professional supervision) otherwise you might wake up one day and discover that you became a Kid Rock fan in addition to being shackled with liquid handcuffs.

Trent1373 Apr 3, 2026 +9
He’s grown man in his 50’s still going by the name Kid Rock.  He’s pathetic.

Nepotism babies whining! When will it end.😪
15
toomuchtv987 Apr 3, 2026 +9
If he was benefitting from nepotism, he’d be running a Cadillac dealership in Michigan. Nepotism didn’t get him his current job…privilege did.
9
Frosty-Comfort7510 Apr 3, 2026 +2
Lincoln dealer…
2
toomuchtv987 Apr 3, 2026 +2
Same thing. Expensive luxury car dealership where rich people sell other rich people cars.
2
Middle_Aged_Mayhem Apr 3, 2026 +2
What does this have to do with nepotism?
2
epicgrilledchees Apr 3, 2026 +18
Nothing. It’s privilege. He grew up rich adjacent. And presented like he grew up poor.
18
emmsmum Apr 3, 2026 +2
Right? Like Why do good, really good people get cancer and die and yet roaming the earth are these absolute malignant fecal looking creatures. It will never make sense to me.

Yeah, tax dollars to fund flybys at Kid Rocks house. Patriots? In any other administration they would be reassigned or court martial’d.

My boy 15 years ago this would be enough to get a president removed from office. Now it’s just a news ticker on the bottom of Tucker Carlson
23
Stlouisken Apr 3, 2026 +46
If this had occurred to a liberal famous person when Biden was president, you better believe Kid Rock would be the first person complaining about it.
46
RareGeneral4300 Apr 3, 2026 +69
Harmless like Trans people?
69
Prophet_Tehenhauin Apr 3, 2026 +42

If Mark Ruffalo did this harmless stunt, MAGA everywhere would be having angry raging orgasms about it.
9
Numerous_Photograph9 Apr 3, 2026 +1
I don't think Ruffalo needs the military to try and prove he had a big weewee like Kid Rock seems to need.
1
JazzmatazZ4 Apr 3, 2026 +18
Oh my god, just f*** off back into your hole you talentless, degenerate
18
Max_Rockatanski Apr 3, 2026 +13
He should've joined the army if he likes the military so much, but I guess he was too busy cosplaying a redneck for a living
13
Murderface__ Apr 3, 2026 +6
Eroding the public trust at the very least, is not harmless.
6
carlboykin Apr 3, 2026 +6
“Oh it’s fine, we’ve wasted your tax dollars like this before” is a wild argument
6
Select_Benefit_8101 Apr 3, 2026 +3
Oh please kid rock....how long is he going to call himself kid. Richie should pay for this stupid stunt, it is a WASTE of our money! Also does anyone else find him to be a dirty looking grease monkey? His hair? I think they make medicated shampoo for hair with that condition.
3
Bron_ogrely Apr 3, 2026 +3
glad we can afford this but not money for dams and highways and other shit. f****** endless war gotta love it.
3
ChumleyEX Apr 3, 2026 +3
But he would flip shit if it was someone he didn't like getting this treatment.
3
Djent_Reznor1 Apr 3, 2026 +3
It will never not be hilarious to me how Kid Rock is literally the best the right has to offer in terms of celebrity endorsements.
3
Neither-Ad8673 Apr 3, 2026 +3
Foot the bill, and then it is harmless
3
shadylady_beepboop Apr 3, 2026 +3
Cool, so he’ll pay the money back to the us taxpayers for this bs, then, right? And wtf is up w that salute. He needs to brush up for his USO tour to Iran.
3
FranksWateeBowl Apr 3, 2026 +3
Kid Rock, The Rat, born with a silver spoon, looks like a gnat.
3
ngatiboi Apr 3, 2026 +3
Cool. Now have the Apache crew do this exact same thing for Taylor Swift at her house & see how chill Hegseth & the MAGA splooge are about it.
3
comedicsense Apr 4, 2026 +3
Then f*** you for wasting tax payer money. That was easy.
3
HildeFrankie Apr 3, 2026 +2
Cool.....so you admit that military members misused tax dollars to do other fly-by's too. Hey DOGE is see some Waste and Abuse happening.....wanna do something about that? No? Crickets? Shocking....
2

"Kid Rock makes it even worse."
2
Positive_Dust_5752 Apr 3, 2026 +2
Oh please continue when were these other times, and who else was involved?
2
peskyghost Apr 3, 2026 +2
Bet can he pay for it then? I don’t care if this loser has helicopters ruining his backyard and pissing off his neighbors as long as it’s not a tax payer expense. You got the money, right Kid?

2
RamonaQ-JunieB Apr 3, 2026 +2
Hegseth has signed off on this shitshow; Trump has said we don’t have the money for Medicare, Medicaid, daycare, education, etc because of the wars (he started). It’s not harmless, you dweeb.
2

Exactly how many times and how much money has been spent entertaining this d*****? Make him pay back the taxpayers
2
TarkusLV Apr 3, 2026 +2
I'm guessing he was very pro-DOGE, but wasting taxpayer money on him is perfectly fine.
2
Fun_Western164 Apr 3, 2026 +2
If you need one more resson to hate maga, just remember, we would not be hearing about kid rock right now if it weren't for them.  His "career" was over 20 years ago.  Also, why the f*** is he saluting if he's not, and never has been, in the military?
2
ThereInAFortnight Apr 3, 2026 +2
What a weird country.
2
EuphoricCrashOut Apr 4, 2026 +2
Saying "It's not the first time" when you're in trouble.. in fact, makes you even more in trouble. IDIOT.
2
RunningPirate Apr 4, 2026 +3
Jesus, dude doesn’t know when to shut up. “Sir, we found 8 kilos of coke in your trunk”. “That’s nothing. Last month, there was so much, I could barely close the lid. We had to remove the dead hooker just to make it all fit!”
3
Neither_Transition_7 Apr 4, 2026 +2
Yo kid, why don’t you join your friends in Iran? Since you love America so much.
2
RightSideBlind Apr 4, 2026 +2
"Okay, but that's worse. You do get how that's worse, right?"
2
ourkid1781 Apr 3, 2026 +4
It's not a waste of $ when white men are involved.
4
Pure_Adeptness_1929 Apr 3, 2026 +2
Did he lip- sync?
2
ComfortableBuyer2902 Apr 3, 2026 +3
Your comment has me laughing Went to a Metallica show at an outdoor festival. Kidrock was on stage, I went to get drinks. Super close to the stage, and noticed he was lip- syncing. Got back to my friends, started to tell them: there was a power glitch, and he was still pretending to sing, with no power. We laughed so much. Sadly the glitch became a power outage because one of the sound crew messed up and blew the circuits. No Metallica. But Metallica rescheduled and had a new opening band
3
G0PACKGO Apr 3, 2026 +2

1
loyalone Apr 3, 2026 +1
Just curious, what does it cost per hour to fly, crew and maintain a US attack helicopter? I know our own local air ambulances cost thousands. And why is Kid Croc saluting? Was he in the military?
1
Tmerrill0 Apr 3, 2026 +6
Happy cake day! Possible cost aside, it is also a problem because it has the appearance of being extremely unprofessional, which is a bad look for pilots in our military. We expect them to take their job seriously while they are in uniform and/or using our vehicles. Being playful or having fun on duty is how people needlessly end up dead and there is no room for that. Unless they were commanded to, they cannot be making their own decisions to do things like that, and if they were then whoever made the call needs to be held accountable
6
loyalone Apr 3, 2026 +1
Thanks! And, I agree with you; with the need for chain-of-command accountability, I doubt it was simply the pilots saying to each other, 'hey let's go buzz our buddy's place'.
1
Large-Mongoose-6929 Apr 3, 2026 +1
Not to mention the obvious political bias of buzzing Kid Rock of all people
1
MachineCloudCreative Apr 3, 2026 +1

I don’t think wasting tax dollars on expensive helicopter fuel for this type of personal treatment is harmless. Tracks very much so with his views though
1

Give me my money back then.

A lot of the military guys love Trump so let them do dumb shit and go fight daddy’s wars. Eventually they will be held accountable.

What I’m hearing is Kid Rock should be funding these stunts, not the American taxpayer.
1
manical1 Apr 3, 2026 +1
when does Kid Rock get to tell the military... or anyone for that matter... what is harmless or not?

1
Original-Split5085 Apr 3, 2026 +1
What I never see spelled out is if these flights only took place because of Mr. Rock's presence. Military pilots have to amass X hours per month, and he says he's "in the flight path" of the helicopters coming and going. So one swinging by his house would cause zero cost to the US military.
1
toomuchtv987 Apr 3, 2026 +2

Well the article calls him Kid Rock, so I would think we should go with that. Plus he already reminds me so much of Lionel Ritchie that I think people might get confused.
