Not saying this is science or anything but my wife's aunt was a bigot to my wife's lesbian mothers. She then had a gravestone dropped on her head in a freak accident giving her brain damage. She was fairly nice for like 10 years and then early dementia brought back in the racism and bigotry. I hope after she dies some scientist examines her brain.

My Granddad lived to 96 with dementia the last few years. When we saw he he would often start saying something that could go badly, and we'd be holding our breath (please don't turn out to be a bigot!) but it was always fine. My favorite was him pointing at a male Filipino nurse and saying "You see that one?....He's from Mesopotamia! Very nice boy."

I’m trying to imagine a scenario where this could happen and I’m not coming up with anything that makes sense but I’m not really knowledgeable about the purchase or installation of gravestones.

Everyone outgrew his music, except him. He hasn’t evolved and most everyone else did. The few stragglers that might buy a ticket will never fill a venue. Go home to Nashville (not Detroit) and play in dive bars … oops, can’t forget that he did that and got pissed off when people weren’t clapping for him on his command. Walked off stage and ended the show like a pathetic, baby trump. Just go home and shower, kid.

They were both big. Im not saying Kid Rocks tunes weren't big, but definitely not anywere the impact Bizkit had. A lot of that had to do with the fact that a large percentage of people still listened to the radio and a lot of the smaller stations were bought up and syndicated. Clear Channel and Sinclair were force feeding that c*** down everyone's throat. If you weren't actively seeking out new music, you didn't have a whole lot to choose from outside what they played. Kid Rock was popular, but still didn't have the same pull as Korn, Deftones, Bizkit, Tool, Godsmack, and many others from that period. We used to travel in large groups to concerts. Only a small number from the clique went to the Kid show though. 2 or 3 if I am not mistaken and they were always a little red around the neck.

Listen, I am against this MAGA f*** like the rest of ya, but he had plenty of hits early in his career giving him a nice bank roll. Bawitdaba, Cowboy, only god knows why, Picture (prob his most popular) and all summer long will always be filling his coffers. He was absolutely in the same league as Limpbizkit and arguably had a more successful career than them. He just ended up being a massive tool who couldn’t retire from attention.

I saw Aerosmith in the early 2000's and he was the opener. Spent most of his set enjoying the mullets in the crowd, one kind stranger pointed one out to me and said "look at that tennessee waterfall". Was the best part of his set.

I saw that same lineup in 2003, White River Amphitheatre. Saliva was mediocre, Kiss put on the best show even though I'm not particularly a fan, and Aerosmith, who I wanted to love, was just average. All three of them kept saying "Hello, Seattle," even though this was in Auburn.

That might have been the same tour. I'm not totally sure on the year. My buddies were huge Kiss fans and that was the main reason we went. They did put on a good show. Not really my thing either. That's hilarious that they got the city wrong. We were at Starwood Amphitheatre in Nashville.

Obviously no one with a brain would go to a kid rock concert even if they were *paid* to do so, But live nation / Ticketmaster do have a terrifying monopoly, and every effort to combat them ends with a lame settlement or complete inaction. I hate kid rock. But that doesn’t mean I don’t agree with him that this decision was a travesty.

It’s a shame, because even the worst people you know are right about things once in a while. As much as I despise Kid Rock, I always appreciated how openly he attacked the concert industry titans like TicketMaster and Live Nation. For a while there, he seemed to walk the walk, offering affordable tickets to his shows and openly explaining the economics that made them possible. Then I saw this: “Rock is currently charging up to $5,000 for front-row seats on his Freedom 250 Tour launching May 1 in Dallas, with tickets being sold exclusively through the very Ticketmaster platform he's criticizing. Premium "First Class Seats" drop $1,000 per row, with Rock's full approval.”
