Kripke was bragging about how the show was punk rock, but it ain't. It is a fun show, but it is still your typical liberal nonsense. Punk rock would have been encouraging a workers' revolution or something. The show, despite it's anti-corporate message, is still status quo. It also doesn't help that Amazon is anti-union and Kripke himself has come out as a liberal zionist. Hell, I'd argue that Superman 2025 really was more punk rock compared to The Boys.
Aww someone just found out their favorite show is making fun of them :’( poor fellah

That was my first thought as well. Poor little guy saw a Tik Tok pointing out how idiotic conservative fans of the show are and got butthurt about it.

And then Homelander says "god I love capitalism" and Butcher looks right at the camera and goes "oi, you should unionize ya c***" and Hughie goes "free Palestine, long live Hamas!"
10/10 let's do it

That last sentence disqualifies you from talking about punk rock.

\>Punk rock would have been encouraging a workers' revolution or something
No, it wouldn't be. Punk is basically just based on rebelling against the establishment. If you HAD to ascribe a specific political movement to punk, it would be anarchy. You'll obviously get punks who are left wing but it is absolutely categorically not a core tenet of punk.
In fact, being anti-corporate (which as you say The Boys generally is) is far more central to punk rock than being pro-worker. In fact, you could make the argument that working in any kind of trade that would have a union is the opposite of being punk rock.

anarchism is left wing

Anarcho capitalism is as real as anarcho socialism/ syndicalism whatever flavor of left wing ism. It's a lot more possible too unfortunately because it's what ACTUALLY happens when you don't have laws structure or governance. The haves end up making all the rules and coerce the have nots into doing what they want by might makes right.

\>buzzwords
The only buzzword I acknowledge is the word "buzzword". I've only ever seen it used by people that don't agree with someone but also don't want to engage with what they're saying.

It was a clearly a counter cultural response to the mcu led super hero craze(like punk rock was to authority). Until Amazon saw dollar signs and it became their mcu.

Punk rock (as someone who was there) was about burning it all down and then living in the ashes. With a few exceptions in the periphery, like The Clash.
The Boys is punk rock in the same way The Ramones or Sex Pistols were.

Yeah, this sub is not going like this opinion. You criticized liberals, so half of them will be liberals mad at you because they think you're a right winger and half of them will be right wingers mad at you for being against mass murder.

The show is checking every liberal agenda. Its a fact, I dont know why people pretend otherwise, the show doesnt even try to hide it. The source material was a very different thing tho. The comics were hard on everyone including liberals, conservatives, corporationa nd consumers.
