From article: “Angelica, who says she is Salvadoran and Catholic, claims she was told "Catholics are horrible people" and was mocked or intimidated about her immigration status. She also claims comments were made to her that alluded to people of her background being deported from America. In addition to the alleged bullying, Angelica claims she was assigned the worst tasks, purposely excluded from the housekeeping team, and had fingers snapped at her and was shouted at routinely. She even claims a supervisor threw hangers at her while reprimanding her on one occasion after she complained about the treatment.“ To clarify: Angelica was being bullied by co-workers and management, not Kylie, who is the employer (but is responsible and thus the one being sued).

I feel like this is why you want a cleaning company that you are the client of as a setup. Even if they are just cleaning your house. Guess you would have to give up some control on that setup though.

When I lived in LA I dated a girl who had her bachelors in teaching. When we first began dating she was interviewing for a celebrity to be a live-in nanny. I guess most Nannies have their degree but get certified in other stuff as well to do the job. Lots of NDAs etc. But one thing she told me that stuck out was that’d she be with 2 other Nannies. And that didn’t even include the other house workers. Like cleaners, gardeners, etc. I’d imagine it’s so competitive you get situations like the movie - Parasite. Where there are cliques and groups and it’s a small circle. Egos. Friendships that turn into backstabbing. Basically an ego driven community who serve the bourgeois and think they’re above one another because - well - they live there too lol. You see examples in the Victorian and Edwardian eras where housekeepers and butlers would look down on kitchen staff etc. I’d honestly watch a show about it should one ever be made lol. Fascinating culture, man lol.

I’ve never seen Downton Abbey haha. But I was thinking more like Below Deck - dunno if you’ve seen that one? I can’t lie when I say I get those moods where I can just sit and binge absolute garbage television lol. I used to be obsessed with VH1s Fabulous Life when I was a kid lol.

It would be so weird to have all those people running around your house all the time.

With thier public image they probably want the staff fully under control complete with N.D.A's and the like.

Makes sense, I'd figure there would be a market for high end cleaning companies that handle all that for high profile clients.

Yeah I’m certain this exists, or else we’d see news stories like this all the time. Not sure why Kylie Jenner would choose not use one though.

Yes precisely, I don’t care enough to open, read, or support a TMZ article but plenty of people here do. Not rocket science, cornball

So are you gonna read it to us or just chastise us?

Lol can no one here read. I swear media literacy is dead, don’t just go off the headline. Sure, Kylie may be the employer but she was not the one doing the bullying.

I read the article and it says that Kyrie made her run laps every time she missed a free throw

Look up the doctrine of respondeat superior. She may not have done it herself, but if the claims are proven true, she’ll be just as responsible as the perpetrators.

She is definitely legally responsible for the workplace she finances

bonkbonk420 3 days ago +8
Yeah I understand that, and that’s completely fair, but my comment was just for the people bashing on Kylie like she did the bullying.

Fair. Doesn’t seem like she was involved. Which is good, but probably won’t help in court

Doesnt help much in the court of opinion either, not in my opinion anyway. Sure you arent the active bully but this says a lot about who are you and what kind of operation you run, thats WHY employers are legally on the hook for this stuff. You have a responsibility to maintain workplace standards and that involves giving a shit and paying attention and taking action. Clearly, if these allegations are in whatever sense true, she has not.

Her coworkers were racist shits but Kylie was the employer so she’s the one getting sued.

Of course , she’s the one with the deep pockets

Maybe she got treated bad but this is just a shakedown of someone who’s rich and famous. Not that I feel sorry for Kylie or anything.

How about we just tax these people so they can't squirm out of lawsuits and settle.

Can you even read or just too lazy? The mistreatment was from coworkers not Kylie, Jenner or any Kardashian.

Ok. She wasn’t the one doing the bullying. If she didn’t know then I don’t get why she’s the one getting sued.

Nah you're trying too hard. You hate her and you want her to suffer for what her employees did, simple as. You can just say that.

People are jumping to conclusion without reading the article and the words beyond a clickbait headline. Kylie is known to be quite sweet, so I knew right away that she wouldn't do this, rather the cleaning team itself is problematic. I hope, for the cleaner, that the solution reached feels just and she gets the outcome that works best for her.
