Productions just shoot elsewhere. They get more for their dollar in those places but they’re still spending big money

Or massive subsidies, some up to 20% the value of the production on top of tax basis abatement, and productions don’t need to cover costs like health care for the production.

other cheaper areas that were they do lots of film and tv work also have lots of empty space right now too because there is just less stuff being made
