>In the face of rising pressure from doctors, MPs and the public, Dr Zubir Ahmed, a junior health minister, said: “If at that point in the break clause we evaluate and we find that there are other providers that can do the job better, of course then that needs to be looked at.
>However, he said that the FDP was exceeding its performance targets, adding: “We are no fan of Palantir’s politics. However, the FDP and the principles that underpin it are critical to the future of the NHS.”
Yeah Palantir's good at what they do. That's why they got so big and influential. But if all your stakeholders hate them ... what can you do?
There's other AI companies out there for the NHS.

I wrote to my rep in Seven Oak and she was dismissive (knowing it was the conservatives that awarded the palantir contract).
My rep only votes on party lines and never what's in the interest of us. Shameful too.

Wes Streeting, health secretary, is a dodgy character. I don't understand how he would have such an influential role based on merit.
I broadly like the Labour government but he seems like some kind of implanted asset as a way to keep the wealthy onside. *adjusts tinfoil hat*.

Every time I hear someone on the media talking about him as a possible replacement for Starmer, I cringe. Regardless of your opinion of Kier Starmer.. Wes Streeting is just a terrible alternative.

Even if a government formally ends its contract with Palantir Technologies, that doesn’t meaningfully sever its access to sensitive data or infrastructure. Once a system like that is integrated, it doesn’t simply disappear. It persists in architecture, dependencies, and data pathways.
At that point, “Pandora’s Box” stops being metaphor.
The real risk isn’t Palantir itself. It’s how little governments understand the systems they embed, and how permanent those systems become once they’re in place.

Using Palatir software isn't fine anywhere, but especially not in law enforcement.
