This was such an amazing miniseries. I remember being really terrified of this when I was a kid. I’m currently rewatching it now, and it still holds up (which maybe a bad reason to remake it?). But I mean, they did that with IT, and everyone loved it.
Let’s do this one now!
Ok, you direct and finance the whole thing, I'll act all of the roles. I'll go get some hats.

Small part. But I was on set a lot of days. Great gig.

He is Satan, but got replaced as King didn’t find him evil-y enough.

For me, I'd remake CYCLE OF THE WEREWOLF (released as "Silver Bullet")
A full miniseries for that would be great. Covering two or three months every episode, and showing the town slowly succumb to the horror of the monthly lunar killings.

Yes this is one of the better King series with a good twist.

And it'd be nice to see a HUGE improvement on the special effects.
Meaning... a werewolf that actually looks like one, instead of mangy Smokey the Bear.

I always thought the priest being the werewolf was such a genius twist.
So good.

that movie's soundtrack is peak 1980's retrosynth god-tier music.

It’s still great and holds up great so all that is needed is a visual fidelity restoration.

I don't understand the rationale of "I love this so much I wish there was a different version of it" at all.

Same. I'd rather hear "We're crowdfunding having the film stock rescanned and the soundtrack remastered." Besides, nobody can touch Colm Fiore's performance in that series. because Colm Fiore is one bad m*********** :)

Ill never forget that this premiered in February 1999 because i remember being really young and watching it during the week my grandmother died.
I really miss that era of the TV-Miniseries, especially the Stephen King ones.

i think a remaster would be great idea, but a full remake doesnt really fit.

i feel like part of why it still works is that creepy slow burn vibe, i’d be worried a remake would try to modernize it too much and lose that atmosphere

Lol this is in my hulu watchlist. I'm waiting for a rainstorm. I remember liking it but enough time has passed for it to be like new.

In classic King style, it fell off at the end, but I massively enjoyed it until then, the vibe was fantastic and premise compelling, and Colm Feore was just riveting to watch.
