Loved the show when it came out! Even though the "science" has been thoroughly debunked since it's still worth it for Roth alone

Not necessarily debunked, but a ton of variables and you deal with probabilities. I enjoyed the show, but yeah, "you scratched your left eyebrow with your right ring finger instead of your index, you're the killer" really stretches suspension of disbelief.

I watched a season and a bit back at the time
I liked it but, with all network shows that revolve around a 'gimmick' they feel the need to incorporate that 'gimmick' all through the show
So, it's not just he's spotting liars at key moments, it's like 'is this coffee fresh' at Starbucks and he's picking up a Twitch so they're LYING!! 😀
It was alright alright he doesn't need to spotting these ALL the freaking time in every interaction

I really enjoyed Lie to Me. Watched it with my daughter years ago. I was really disappointed when it got cancelled, it could have had a few more seasons. I brought it up earlier today and we thought about rewatching it. It’s a unique and interesting, fun series. I like the on-screen chemistry between Tim Roth and Keli Williams. Stick with it..

I've said this before, but I think it started at about the same time as The Mentalist and they fundamentally were using very similar gimmicks. But The Mentalist was far more lighthearted and funny - more like a "blue sky" show - and that won out.

The Mentalist is more lighthearted and one of my favorite shows I rewatch.

Mentalist is pure comfort viewing with so much kudos for having the character finally finish their objective. The main characters are consistently written throughout the entire run.
Then the swan song of the last season giving every character a proper send off.
Just a solid series had a respectable 7 season run.

Tim Roth was phenomenal in this show , after you finish it if you want a similar show try The Mentalist.

Oh nice timing! I watched this few months ago and got completely hooked. The psychology stuff gets really interesting as it goes on but dont expect too much from later seasons

It’s pretty fun for what it is. I don’t expect a lot from the story line but it is an interesting topic, and one which requires video, and can’t be read.

The guy it's based on actually has written a few books. Lol.

A lot of people talk trash on shows like Lie To Me because they find them repetitive, but I love them. They may not really have a serialized story, but that's okay. You watch these shows for the characters, and Lie To Me more than delivers in that sense. The whole cast is super fun.

It’s so good! I watched it when it aired and loved it and have gone back to it several times since, it’s such a bummer that it only had 3 seasons but compared to today’s standards that’s impressive lol

It's a very good show in that style/format. Main character is almost always right but also kind of an arrogant d*** to people. But I remember enjoying it enough and would be down to rewatch it

Great show that ended far too prematurely.

It was basically a House M.D. with Tim Roth. I liked it.

That's the best description of it I've heard- like a modern-day retelling of Sherlock Holmes based on shaky science.

It was a great show, there were rumors that Tim Roth was heavly drunk during most of the filming, but it feels like it wasnt canceled, it just fizzled away.

If I wanna watch drunk Tim Roth, I'll watch Tin Star. Basically Sheriff Jekyll and Drunk Hyde. One of the weirdest passion project tv series outside of Billy Bob Thornton's Goliath. Sometimes the best actors make the strangest shows for the most peculiar reasons.
