Hill was arrested in August after he was spotted wandering Ventura Boulevard in Los Angeles in his underwear and cowboy boots. He was charged with three counts of battery against a police officer and one count of resisting an executive officer. He pleaded not guilty during his arraignment and was facing up to five years in prison if convicted.

5
TacticalIdiot77Apr 7, 2026

Because, unless he just didnt make it public, he wasn’t getting any help before he got attracted. Also the fact that this whole thing happened in the first place.
-11

He didn't get diagnosed with bipolar disorder until after he got arrested. How do you know how aware of his mental health issues he was and was refusing help before this? For all we know this was the first time he ever had this major of an episode of psychosis the night he was arrested. He spent 2 months after his arrest in a mental health facility. Is this not the correct response for someone who had a mental crisis? Why should someone be locked up in prison for going through a mental crisis when they can get treatment for it instead?
8
TacticalIdiot77Apr 7, 2026

If he was getting help this wouldn’t have happened in the first place.

No Lil Nas X was tested and the results were he had no drugs or alcohol in his system. He had a psychotic episode that night. He was diagnosed with bipolar disorder and spent 2 months in an inpatient program at a mental health facility after. He agreed to take a 2 year mental treatment program as part of the deal to get the charges dropped

I worked in disability services at a university for a bit about a decade ago, and we had a student with bipolar who just had a total break from reality from final exam stress one year. Poor guy tore most of his clothes off in the back of a large lecture hall and proceeded to jerk it while screaming in terror. He was on meds and everything, but bipolar sometimes doesn’t give a damn.
Colleagues fought very, very hard to keep him from getting charged with sex crimes, but he still got expelled from the university.
I often wonder if he’s okay these days, and I feel for the trauma everyone experienced that day, him included.
14
ladypilotApr 7, 2026

Most of the meds suck, though. Lithium helped me, but I had to stop taking it because it damaged my kidneys. Now I'm taking something else that commonly causes weight gain, hair loss and liver failure.

Yes after swinging at the cops and other similar things lol. Obviously you haven’t seen every single instance of someone hitting a cop, even “there” where you are
Doesn't change what I said. You can put a link it doesn't change the fact that some people sit in rehab or therapy and others work for the state in a prison. The deciding factor there is $$$.
-4
ryrkvalApr 7, 2026
+1
I work for a mental health court and the deciding factor is their previous record and the link between their mental health and the crime, which is pretty cut and dry in this case.
1
ArmagonnApr 7, 2026
-5
Then you know everything and court has always been 100% right and just. No one's ever gone to prison innocent or anything like that huh? If I work in a hospital I can say the healthcare system is perfect? If I work at McDonald's I can say its the best food?

Yes anyone with a lawyer does better in the legal system than someone without. Is this supposed to be a profound statement?
-2
ArmagonnApr 7, 2026
Whatever excuse you need for injustice. You talk of profundity while accepting the enslavement of some and the freedom of others. Its exactly why the law can't be respected when its doled out with bias.
0
daphnedeliriousApr 7, 2026
Lmao and what are you doing to help exactly? Shitting on a mentally ill guy for getting help?

0

Is that what I said?
3
TheMadFlyentistApr 7, 2026
In more words, yes.
Their argument is: Celebrities/rich people who can afford a good lawyer get favorable legal deals compared to poor people. That's not fair.
Your response was:
> Lmao and what are you doing to help exactly?
and then accuse them of "shitting on a mentally ill guy", which no one was doing.
0
daphnedeliriousApr 7, 2026

That wasn’t my response to that statement. My response was in their response to claiming I agree with the system and am personally allowing it to persist
