> French president directly accuses terror group of ambush. French President Emmanuel Macron on Saturday said Hezbollah was responsible for the death of a French soldier in an attack on UN peacekeepers in Lebanon “Everything points to Hezbollah being responsible for this attack,” Macron said on X

Oh please, the lefties of listnook praise terror organizations like there's no tomorrow. Also don't at me if you're Republican either, you're worse. Only decent human beings left are liberals.

And who determines that? F*** off.

Nope. All conservatives are scum

Even the ones that didn't vote for Trump? Should I tell my grandma who is a conservative that voted for Kamala and Biden that she's scum?
10
Sleepingguitarman 16 hr ago -18
No they don't lol. If you think the left praise terror groups then you're just as deluded as the conservative / maga crowd.
-18
FungibleFriday 16 hr ago +20
Lots of them do though. Chants like "we are all Hamas" and "hamas is resistance" and "globalize the intifada"... The left is just as deluded as the maga crowed with their open border, kumbaya, its all the white mans fault mentality.
20
gayphilantropist 15 hr ago -5
leftists =/= democrats, most of them didn't even vote for Kamala, they just attached themselves to the dem party.
-5
Sleepingguitarman 16 hr ago -15
Yeah except 99.99% of dems/liberals aren't actually saying those things. I'm sure there's a handful of deluded extremists who have, but those people wouldn't even align with what progressives/liberals/dems believe and support. I think you've been misled my friend, or atleast under the impression that people with those beliefs are much more common then they actually are. Atleast in the U.S. Edit: Nvm you're subbed to the Conservative sublistnook. Quit pushing your false narratives.
-15
FungibleFriday 15 hr ago +11
I'm not subbed to the conservative sublistnook. Why lie about that? Clearly the only one pushing a false narrative here is you. Progressives / liberals are not the same thing. The dem party has become big tent since they brought in Bernie Sanders, aoc, and ilhan omar. But they have very different beliefs and ideologies than liberals do. And many progressives support "the resistance".
11
gayphilantropist 15 hr ago +3
Ding ding ding. Leftists are parasites who attached themselves to the Democratic party. They're not liberals, they're not democrats.
3
Sleepingguitarman 15 hr ago -2
Ahh i meant active not subbed. But regardless, when i saw leftist i figured the original comment was someone just refering to anyone left of a centrist, as it seems like atleast around me and in conservative media the dems and libs are often refered to as "leftists". That's my bad! I was being a dumbass who should of asked for clarification before spouting off. Thanks for pointing out my error.
-2
gayphilantropist 15 hr ago +5
Learn what leftists are first, then post walls of text. Leftists are not Democrats, they're ultra progressive/Communist types that attached themselves to the Democratic party. Regardless of the dudes political stance, he's right.
5
Sleepingguitarman 15 hr ago +1
Ahhh i gotchya. I figured when i saw "leftist" they were refering to libs/dems, as in the US it seems like the term leftist is often thrown around alot when refering to anyone who is to the left of centrist. Could just be my area too, since it's a predominantly maga area. My bad, thanks for educating me!

u/catcher6250 what is a leftist?
1
gayphilantropist 15 hr ago +2
You do realize there's a certain group of the left called "leftists" right? I'm not talking about your average DEM, or liberals like myself, i'm talking about leftists.

UNIFIL should just pull out. From the article: > UNIFIL is stationed in southern Lebanon to monitor hostilities along the border. The mission, which will be halted at the end of 2026, has been sporadically caught in the crosshairs of both Israel and Hezbollah over the last few years. >Three Indonesian peacekeepers were killed last month, with a preliminary UN investigation finding one was killed by Israeli tank fire, while the two others were killed by an improvised explosive device likely planted by Hezbollah. why put them in harms way?
90
Ultra_Metal 19 hr ago +109
It makes no sense to keep them there. They've been there for almost 10 years and they haven't lifted a finger to accomplish their mission: preventing Hezbollah from entrenching itself near Israel. The commanders of UNIFIL are risking the lives of soldiers for nothing. This French soldier died in vain.

ThatEndingTho 19 hr ago +67
It’s so much worse. UNIFIL was established in 1978 and they first deployed in that year. (Older than Hezbollah lol)

Their mandate expires on December 31st They can do everyone a favor and leave early.

It's important they monitor. Not stop. Not even inform. But it's vital they work their lives to monitor and keep the info to themselves.

When an IDF solider farts around UN peacekeepers it's a war crime. Why isn't there more international blowback for this?

> When an IDF solider farts around UN peacekeepers it's a war crime. Why isn't there more international blowback for this? It's only a crime if it's Israel. Have you seen any demonstrations about the situation in Myanmar or Sudan? https://www.pbs.org/newshour/show/after-3-years-of-relentless-war-sudan-faces-worlds-worst-humanitarian-crisis

Well the IDF has killed Unifil soldiers allegedly, probably a false flag as usual. That said Hezbollah is a terrorist organization, what’s the point of getting angry at them, they are supposed to be the ‘bad guys’ , the IDF who are the “good guys” should be held to a higher standard of conduct.

Devadeen 16 hr ago -67
Because Israel is a democratic sovereign state supposed to be allied with western powers, Hesbolah is a terrorist militia holding an illegitimate local power opposed to the west. You really want the western world to diplomatically consider them the same way ? If yes, are you legimating Hesbolah as a political power or reducing Israel as a terrorist organisation ?
-67
madhatta42 15 hr ago +64
And yet, when Israel tries to do something about a “terrorist militia” they are the ones to get the blowback and ire of everyone…
64
HotLoad7878 10 hr ago +15
This is the reason Israel don't give a shit about western opinion anymore. They are for some reason expected to fight a terrorist organization with extreme care, while Hezbollah can do whatever it wants with impunity because "aw shucks they are terrorists what do you expect 🤷🏻" and that's where the criticism and action against Hezbollah ends.

You do realize sometimes cops have to speed to catch people who are speeding, yeah?
35
Devadeen 10 hr ago -3
Yes but if they kill 4 bystanders to do so, I'm gonna be pissed at the cops.
-3
HotLoad7878 10 hr ago +7
If cops accidentally kill a bystander in a shootout with a bank robber, the responsible party in a court of law is still the bank robber, and it is added to their list of charges. That's how the law works.

Devadeen 10 hr ago -7
In a country with violence issues where it's ok for cops to kill on a daily basis, sure. I rather avoid that mindset where killing civilians is ok as long as it is done by pseudo "good guys"

f*** hezbollah. this man should not have died. but theres a slight difference between a terrorist militia group killing innocent people and a well organized well funded recognized nation state supported by most of the governments in the world killing innocent people.
-83
xmuskorx 17 hr ago +75
Hezbollah is a proxy of Iran. Which is pretty will funded. But this does not upset you for some reason
75
pubicfart 17 hr ago -53
1.) thanks for putting words in my mouth. this does upset me. every civilian death in useless war upsets me. every single one. 2.) iran has been sponsoring terrorists, who kill innocent people. and theyre being bombed relentlessly right now and isolated from most of the rest of the world.
-53
Emotional-Bronco 17 hr ago +46
Why is there a difference? We should treat hezbollah with kid gloves because they're terrorists?
46
ThatEndingTho 17 hr ago +42
International law only matters when the people I don’t like violate it. /s
42
pubicfart 17 hr ago -36
who said we should treat it with kid gloves? i’m just pointing out the fact that the equivalence youre drawing between a terrorist militia and a recognized nation state is a false one.
-36
Emotional-Bronco 17 hr ago +29
Bad is bad, whoever conducts it is bad. Why do we need to qualify "recognized nation" vs "terrorists"? What's your end goal?  If a rich person commits a murder vs a poor person should they be treated differently?  I don't think so.
29
pubicfart 17 hr ago -1
i agree, bad is bad. and i want to say again, i am in no way defending hezbollah. anyone who kills innocent civilians are scum to me. but you ask why there’s no international blowback, in what form should that come? by global diplomats or heads of state denouncing hezbollah? every rational person denounces hezbollah, it goes without saying. they are not a political entity in the form of a nation that international law can be applied to. unlike the IDF, which operates on behalf of and in capacity of the israeli government. thats my entire point. so the question should be posed towards you, what international blowback do you think would be fitting here? what is YOUR end goal?
-1
HotLoad7878 10 hr ago +6
I would like to see regional Arab powers come together to address terrorism in the middle east with intent for peace. But they arnt interested in this because they don't want peace with Israel, they love seeing someone fighting israel. So Israel has to prove a point that any country hosting a terrorist militia isn't safe, and it's that countries government and military that has a responsibility to take care of said terrorist militia. It's all about the implication.

What are you talking about. Hez is part of the Lebanon Government
40
pubicfart 17 hr ago -18
while that may be partially true youre really overstating it. hezbollah has a /couple/ of seats in parliament but the lebanese govt has said they operate outside of lebanese law and that they want to work to disarm them so lebanese army can be the only military operating under lebanese sovereignty. hezbollah does not comply with lebanese law or operate by their rule, theyre funded and directed by iran. that’s exactly why they’re different from the IDF, the official military arm of an actual state.
-18
Crimsonsworn 17 hr ago +34
The coalition that Hez is part of makes up nearly 50% of the government seats and Hez themselves make up about 10%, believe they have between 10-15 seats.

Lebanon is being invaded by a foreign country, a country that France is very closely allied with and a strong supporter of. Why the f*** would French soldiers be there? If my country was being invaded by a foreign nation, say for example Israel, and foreign soldiers allied with Israel were standing around "keeping the peace" in the land that Israel had conquered from us then I think they would be fair targets. What foreign militaries should be doing if the world was a just place is they should be telling Israel to stop bombing and invading other nations and to get their f****** soldiers back behind their borders or we do to Tel Aviv exactly what they did to Gaza and drag Bibi to Hague. But obviously that won't happen because Israel has videos of all our leaders and billionaires f****** children on an island with a New York financier.

The most braindead comment I've read in a long time🤦‍♂️ good job dude. Lebanon is being "invaded" because this french guy is failing at his job. "keeping peace" yeah right A dumbass militia thought that attacking israel is cool and nothing would happen, both the 8th of October, and the 2nd of merch. Because in 20 years nobody did shit about Hezbollah being south of the litani River. You excusing a terrorist group for doing terrorist shit cause you dont like israel as if israel started any of it. Shit has nothing to do with your braindead conspiracies and your understanding of geopolitics is so flawed I am actually debating whether this comment is a troll or not
