Remember when republicans claimed that they were centrists and democrats moved too far left
Every accusation is a confession.

'MAGA' flipping out about 'RINOs' is the most obvious tell we (or political analyst) never talk about. Ever since this revolt over 'RINOs' started during the Obama presidency (also a tell) when you actually look at what the differences are between the old RINOs and their new MAGA approved replacements it's telling.
Are these new MAGA approved replacements pushing for and voting for better living/working conditions for the working class MAGA's? Are they voting for things that would make working class MAGA people better off at all? No, they are not. They are voting for the same rich people tax cuts, the same gutting of social services and worker protections. So then what is the actual difference between the MAGA approved replacements and the RINOs then..... It's the open racism, bigotry and authoritarianism.
When you look at all the RINO's replaced since this all started in 2008 the only difference between them and their replacement is the replacement is a white supremacist. That's it, that's what MAGA is, a white supremacist movement that cares far more about racism than economics. When MAGA complains about someone being a 'RINO' they are really complaining that person isn't openly racist enough.

> “We are doing some housecleaning this cycle,” Herrera said. “We’re getting rid of the RINOs who have been representing Texas for too long.”
He’s a bit late to the party in Texas. Our pair of Christian nationalist West Texas billionaires have been replacing traditional conservatives with their own people for most of Herrera’s life. They have owned the majority of the Texas Senate for a while now and gained the majority in the Texas House in 2024. They probably tolerate Herrera because he is a gunfluencer with a younger leaning base, but if he does even one thing that affects their agenda he too will be labeled a RINO and primaried. That’s just how it works in contemporary Texas conservative politics.

“[Y’All-itics] The first part of the question is, what kind of changes would you like to see inside the GOP today?
[Texas Rep. Glenn Rogers (R)] Well, there needs to be more recognition of who's in control. And how they're controlling our party. I read something last week, a survey that showed that only 20% of Republicans have ever heard of Tim Dunn or Farris Wilks. So there's a lot of lack of information about who's really in control.“

“For more than a decade, the two West Texas oil and gas moguls have used their fortunes to finance an ideological crusade to oust the torchbearers of the party establishment and install champions of their far-right, theocratic agenda.”

“This is bigger than party. This is bigger than partisanship. Texas is too big and too great to be sold to the highest bidder. We cannot allow two billionaires to transform our beloved state into a theocracy.
We have to stop them.”

With President Donald Trump set to exit the Oval Office in a little more than two years, a crop of young Republicans is seeking to take up the “America First” mantle.
Several candidates running for Congress captivated the grassroots audience at the annual Conservative Political Action Conference, and all had one signature promise: take on the establishment.
And while some Republicans want to move to the middle in a year when they’re facing political headwinds, others, particularly those challenging sitting incumbents in primary races, are pushing the party to move further to the right.
