I’ve watched 60 minutes most of my life, but lost respect for the show once they killed the episode on the Salvadoran prison. They’ve walked on eggshells with the current admin.

Good thing Colbert is leaving, they did him a favor.

No one talks about 60 mins on Monday because we all know it sold out. Once you sold out, it’s like cheating on your wife, no one believes you any more. We are not interested in your stories. They are forever tainted.

The show “went soft” because Weiss wouldn’t allow them to do honest, hard-hitting journalism because it painted republicans in a bad light. Expect some real bullshit and bias to come out of any revamped 60 Minutes episodes.

Speaking as a Generation Jones, progressive politically, old history and journalism major, I haven't watched CBS or ANY mainstream TV in over 20 years. My youthful heroes were the 60 Minutes team, with affection and respect for Eric Severeid Walter Cronkite, Dan Rather, and Charles Karualt.. I was glued to the Watergate hearings, and stoked in the sharp reflection of "All In The Family," but those are hard now to believe they ever happened.

The reporters of 60minutes - those with integrity/standards - need to break away from CBS and form their own news program and continue. For the sake of our democracy & the truth! 60minutes was one of the few shows that reported the facts the *right* way!

CBS is dead to me. I haven't turned it on since the merger and I don't know anyone who that watches it still. They can make it like FOX all they want but they have a limited viewer base that can't sustain being diluted between CBS, FOX, and soon CNN. So all the ratings for each network will drop and they will lose advertising revenue and eventually have to go off the air. At least that is what I hope happens to the state run media networks.

I haven’t consumed anything from CBS since she took over. Stopped watching, unfollowed every CBS page on social media, and actively avoid any content by them.

Reject CBS and just don't watch! We have plenty of other options. CNN is also highly suspect. Get your news from unbiased sources.

60 Minutes has been hitting pretty hard on the current administration as of late. Not surprised that this would be in the forecast.

I was watching George and Mandy last night and I noticed that there was an interruption in the dialogue between George’s mom and the Pastor discussing discussing Christian values, was I the only one who witnessed this? First I thought it was my DVR but plainly it appears it wasn’t.

Not that I watched CBS news, but 100% won’t in the future as it’s compromised. Glad their ratings are going through the shitter tho!

This has been one of the best tv news programs ever. The idea that Bari Weiss knows better is sort of ridiculous. Why wouldn’t they have her develop a new program in parallel and see if it works ?

Imagine getting a once in a lifetime opportunity to work for a team like that on a news program like that and deciding the best thing in the world to do is to ruin it.

I do hope once this current moment in history passes that someone comes along at CBS to restore some of the damage. It'll take longer than "this moment" because CBS is owned by Paramount which is owned by the Ellisons who are a Right Wing Loyalists, but CBS has nearly a 100 Years of history going back to the Radio Days, I'd hate for it to all end like this.
