Ahh I think I see the issue! Conservatives do not have a sense of humor in the way other people do. Unless it's rooted in racist stereotypes or punches down on a group that can't/won't fight back they don't find it funny. Humor requires feeling joy and that really is impossible for some people.

Right? I may disagree with almost everything Sliwa believes politically, but he seems like a genuine guy who can set aside politics for a few seconds to not be an a******. He reminds me of my uncle.

I have genuine respect for any known name politician who genuinely lives in a 300 square foot apartment. That alone gets him more credibility when criticizing greed or corruption than about 99% of politicians we hear from.
