The Nova Scotia government runs the booze (and weed) sales here. They pulled all the american booze off the shelves and haven’t ordered more. This means that no bars or restaurants can get it, either. A few months ago they put it all out for sale - with all the profits going to a food bank.

I agree. Leadership clearly makes a difference. Carney turned around the fortunes of the Liberal party. Poilievre is an anchor on the Conservatives. Lewis, for all his good intentions is not going to get a big enough following to get the votes the NDP need. If Knew was going up against Trudeau and Poileive he would have done very well. Out of those three I'd vote for him. As it stands, I like that Carney's PM and even though Knew is not my Premier I like that he is a good influence on the Council of Federation.

And because of Trump, we will always have another one. One that gets the cults attention. Ronald Reagan was a mistake in the 80’s, but ultimately the beginning to the end for us electing politicians to the most powerful position of office. As a nation, there needs to be a check and balance on who we actually get to vote for (years of political service or hell, military service). And yes, I feel the President should have military experience, since he has to make military decisions weekly that could threaten not only us, but our neighbors too, Canada and Mexico.
