This is what I’m terrified of most. Being old and frail and not having any resources to support myself. And with the current climate, my optimism has taken quite the beating.

The elderly of today were young during the 1960s communist revolution. Cuba made a choice than that has to be lived with now.

So the ensuing decades long embargo of the island was totally their fault and not the US being spiteful forcing them to turn to the Soviets for support instead of recognising that forcing a US supported strongman on them was wildly unpopular?

Or they should just stop feeding their incarcerated, oh wait, they already do that. And Cuba has nearly the highest incarceration rate in the world!
