How do I get in on making money like all the rich assholes at the top are? Like, what/who do I bet on or whatever?

Jamuro 4 days ago +64
that's the neat part. you can't. you need to be on the inside to get the information 15minutes before everyone else and place your put/long futures.

Remember: Iran is +9 hours from DC (EST). So him saying this in the afternoon is already basically TOMORROW for Iran. I can’t imagine their leaders stay up till 3AM rage tweeting out a ‘peace deal’ like our orange buffoon.

Iran’s response will probably be a meme of Lego Rubio wearing his daddy’s big shoes.
6
alemorg 5 days ago +21
lol they cited axios? The one that is having insider allegations for letting other people know before they publish articles? I’ve lost all faith in American media. They are drifting towards straight up American propaganda. Iran has not shown they are willing to accept the terms. An end of the war in Lebanon is non negotiable, Israel isn’t going to give that up. Israel wants to continue until Iran has regime change
21
Ok-Echidna5936 5 days ago +9
You’ve now just lost faith in American media?
9
alemorg 5 days ago +2
I guess you’re right. There are still good independent news outlets doing good work but yeah, ny times, cnn, fox, they all push American propaganda in some form
2
Ok-Echidna5936 5 days ago +3
Independent is probably the way to go nowadays. All of the big media corps fall on either side of the political spectrum and just spit out bull. I remember when the wiki leaks happened in the mid 2010’s, one of the major news outlets tried telling people that the public couldn’t look into it. Only they were allowed. Just straight lying lol

Propublica is my favorite. Npr but it’s slightly left leaning. There’s a lot of smaller independent news outlets in major cities but they only report on local news not really international or nation wide news.
3
Salford1969 5 days ago +1
Alot of the good news outlets from the past are owned by the elites and pump their political views or just lie to get more people to watch.
1
I-Might-Be-Something 5 days ago +5
Sure, the cited *Axios*, but they also just report on what Rubio said. Now, I think nothing will come of this, just like that last three(?) times there have been a response from Iran, but CNBC just reported on what Rubio said.
5
alemorg 5 days ago +7
They reported on what Rubio and what axios said. Honestly I think trump might annouce some bs saying Iran has signed a deal, and then Iran says nope, this will continue on for weeks

Imagine demanding peace from the country you invaded? In this war, the Iranians have a say in when this ends. And I can’t see it being in their interest, now that the country’s infrastructure is mostly decimated. Strategically, it’s in their interest to let the Trump admin keep taking this on the chin domestically.
2
Majestic_Standard_51 4 days ago
They should ask their people what they think. But they are to busy killing them in the thousands and executing them to do that.

2
sask357 5 days ago +2
If the war is continuing, why isn't Congress involved? That's a rhetorical question. Similar questions could be asked about American threats to take over Canada, invade Greenland, invade Cuba, levy tariffs, leave NATO, favour Russia, and so on. It's no wonder that Iran plays its own games and former allies of the US are reluctant to take part.
2
Careless_Guitar_463 5 days ago +1
Or what? Literally what are they gonna do if they don't respond? They've already bombed the shit out of that country, they have nothing left to hit.

1

Here is the peace deal: Americans GO AWAY! THEN they will have peace.
1
I-Might-Be-Something 5 days ago +1
So what will it be? My money is that the Iranians say they will reopen the Strait of Hormuz is the US ends the blockade, which Trump's seems loath to do so he'll reject it and on and on we'll go.
1
TheGodPePe 5 days ago +1
Can you tell me how you came to this conclusion?
1
I-Might-Be-Something 5 days ago -1
The blockade is really hurting the Iranian economy, and the last time the Iranians wanted an end to the blockade to open the strait, but Trump refused. I think that’ll remain the sticking point and Trump won’t budge since he’d see that as a “defeat”.
-1

Get your shit together, accept the big L and move out of there pricks! Enough with this, you don't want to escalate, we know, you know, everyone knows already. All this " we gonna do X or Z " ... you won't do shit and even IRAN knows it and you expect a good deal? The best deal you can do is .. reopen Straits and maybe some of a decent deal with nuclear program. Thats it.

IPissExcellentThrows 5 days ago
>AfTeR mArKeT cLoSe People make this about the market on every single announcement. They can't control when Iran responds. The market isn't reacting nearly as much to Trump's BS these days. And the insider trading is likely happening on things like poly market. Plus oil futures trade after hours. It's tiring seeing 60% of the top comments on every post find a way to twist a good or bad announcement to fit the market narrative no matter what. Good news Friday? Market manipulation. Bad news Friday. Market manipulation. Good news Monday? Because markets are open. Bad news Monday? They were buying the dip. Find an excuse for any news any day. It's possible these idiots are just feeding news to their dumbass followers that will believe anything. Not every single announcement has to be market related.
0
kuldan5853 5 days ago +2
> Not every single announcement has to be market related. No, but there is a certain curve when these messages are released, and the curves are kinda clumped on friday and monday/tuesday.

ZealousidealState127 5 days ago -4
I kind of appreciate the transparency on this particular issue. But it's kind of showing how the sausage is made. Every conflict has all this back and forth it's just usually hidden from the public. There is definitely rampant speculation driving oil prices up further than any real shortages though. We are in a pretty good position on this one. The US can walk away at any point we are pretty well set for oil and control the energy market in the western hemisphere. If we walk away it mainly effects Asia and Europe. It would definitely give Canada some leverage as they are the US main source of imported oil and fertilizer.
