‘Marshals’ Most-Watched New TV Show of the Season, as CBS Touts Its Broadcast and Streaming Strength Against Competitors

Posted by Puzzled-Tap8042

Overall, the final season of Netflix’s “Stranger Things” remains the most-watched series of the season, with 30.6 million viewers after 28 days, followed by the “Marshals” premiere with 26.5 million (granted, that number is averaged from just one premiere episode and could change with more episodes eventually averaged in) and then Netflix’s “His & Hers” (24.2 million). CBS sent out the ratings data to tout that its series make up six of the top 20 most-watched series among all broadcast and streaming competition – beating its broadcast competition. The Eye noted that it currently boasts eight series that attract more than 10 million multiplatform viewers after 28 days: “Marshals,” “Tracker,” “CIA,” “Matlock,” “Sheriff Country,” “Ghosts,” “Survivor” and “NCIS.”

I really have to wonder what the f*** Paramount and CBS did to make them lose Taylor Sheridan to NBC.

Nothing, it's just that NBC offered him a f*** ton of money, he is arguably the first producer/writer/creator that may honestly become a billionaire on the back of making TV and movies rather than the other way around when billionaires turn to Hollywood when they they have too much money and want to burn it.

its an ego thing. ellison admitted that sheridan had a very bossy persona. paramount can't have two of the biggest egos in hollywood existing in the same place. sheridan wasnt paramount's priority. nbcu had been courting him and offered a huge chunk of money. no wonder he jumped ship.

We tried watching this, but barely made it through two episodes. It's just a standard police procedural that happens to have pretty scenery and a Dutton.

CBS top show being about a criminal from a criminal family being given a position of authority in law enforcement is very on point.

I wish Paramount would optimize their app.

I tried watching this, foolishly assuming it was Taylor Sheridan’s work and not just based on his characters. It’s really not good. Watched two episodes and quit.
