Justin Benson and Aaron Moorhead f****** love the shit out of Bullseye. I have no idea where his storyline is going but I just feel like its going to end with a teamup, a disagreement and then a blood feud.

mdavis360 Apr 7, 2026 +23
I’m glad they’ve gone all in on his comic book abilities and see him kill people with ordinary objects.
23
Haikouden Apr 7, 2026 +22
IIRC in the Ben Affleck film he killed at least a couple people with paper clips, and an old lady with a peanut. But then he also had a snakeskin coat that made literal snake sounds when he opened it.
22
Malkochson Apr 7, 2026 +15
Lets also not undersell Colin Farrell's hilariously unhinged grunts, growls, and facial tics.
15
DrummerGuy06 Apr 7, 2026 +2
Killed all of Kingpin's bodyguards when he goes to meet with him. Kingpin was amused by it.
2
whitepangolin Apr 6, 2026 +21
I do worry it will all be hype moments and aura with him. I loved how interior season 3 was for Bullseye. Really diving into his psyche and what drives him. Feels like we've gotten none of that in Born Again so far, hope that changes.
21
Animegamingnerd Apr 7, 2026 +11
Even though it's more of a psyche moment for Matt, I really hope at some point the show adapts the final issue of Frank Miller's initial Daredevil run, where Daredevil visits a cripple Bullseye in the hospital and tells him a story about their consequences from all their battles, while forcing him to play russian r*******.
11
thatditzyguy Apr 7, 2026 +7
We've gotten none of that in general with the characters. It's the biggest miss of this series. Dropping matt's mother really set the tone for what they see as important in this series and it isn't the interior stuff you're talking about
7
PossibleBasil Apr 7, 2026 +13
I really hate that they don't address his Catholocism at all. We got one shot of him looking at a church in season 1 and nothing else.
13
whitepangolin Apr 7, 2026 +4
I guess they at least addressed where she is. But I will say, I don't think season 1 hid away from Matt's interiority too awfully, there was just too much else going on with the botched original version. I did like the decision that while he buried a lot of his grief about Foggy, he let Punisher do all the talking for him. That one great scene.

Livio88 Apr 6, 2026 +233
We’re 3 episodes in already, what’s the point of releasing a trailer now?
233
unbelizeable1 Apr 7, 2026 +61
Im also confused why 2 epidodes last week. Like I'm happy about it, but it didnt feel like the two eps were so connected that it had to aire that way.
61
hammnbubbly Apr 7, 2026 +57
Had nothing to do with the content of the episodes and everything to do with season two wrapping up in time for The Punisher special to air on May 12.
57
Special_Sherbert4617 Apr 7, 2026 +12
Why did The Punisher need to air on May 12?
12
MastermindEnforcer Apr 7, 2026 +15
Disney time most their big releases to try and maximize new/renewing subscriptions. So probably their internal metrics have noticed that a majority of current subscribers will lapse their payment schedules on or around the 11th, so a big release on the 12th will get maximum re-ups. It's also possible there are contractual requirements with cast or partnered promotions for Punisher that mean delaying another week would be off the table.
15
Mintfriction Apr 7, 2026 +2
Maybe with the new spider man movie ? I donno. I saw in the trailer punisher is there
2
Razzler1973 Apr 7, 2026 +2
Why didn't they start with 2 episodes and then do 1 a week
2
AssortedShortbread Apr 7, 2026 +17
Supposedly it's because episodes 1 and 2 were quite slow and the season kicks off properly with episode 3 onwards.
17
hammnbubbly Apr 7, 2026 +13
Had nothing to do with the content of the episodes and everything to do with season two wrapping up in time for The Punisher special to air on May 12.
13
Eiden58 Apr 7, 2026 +8
Has to do with both I think, because they could've had a two ep premiere and still end on same day, but since the first two are on the slower side, it made sense to get 2 and 3 together instead
8
Paperchampion23 Apr 7, 2026 -10
Doubt. Theres nothing releasing on D+ the 19th so if they really wanted to they could have just pushed that back a week then. The reason Punisher is releasing immediately after Born Again s2 is because they are tied together. Edit: Someone provide me an actual source where a producer is confirming the Punisher special NEEDED to release on May 12th so Daredevil was forced to only have a 7 week run, please
-10
hammnbubbly Apr 7, 2026 -7
[Still doubt?](https://parade.com/news/daredevil-just-dropped-two-new-episodes)
-7
Paperchampion23 Apr 7, 2026
And this is a verifiable source why? What director or producer is confirming why they released a double episode? This site literally tells me nothing on Born Again double releasing BECAUSE of Punisher's release date. Ill say it again: nothing is releasing May 19th on Disney. If they really wanted Born Again and Punisher to release weekly with no double releases, they could have just pushed the Finale to the 12th and Punisher to the 19th. There is no ACTUAL reason why given by anyone as to why they did it.

bindersfull-ofwomen Apr 7, 2026
Why are yall even arguing about this?
0
unbelizeable1 Apr 7, 2026 +1
Hmm personally didn't feel that way, but ok guess that makes sense. Its also kinda odd to write a 8 episode season where it only kicks off properly ~40% through.
1
Paperchampion23 Apr 7, 2026 +8
It kicks off from the first episode. People are just exaggerating. However, the first two episodes alsp do a lot of heavy lifting on plot from the first season.
8
ffordedor Apr 7, 2026 +7
People aren't watching it and they're hoping this trailer reminds them to?
7
lance777 Apr 7, 2026 +3
Probably not enough viewers? That first season killed some interest
3
Peralton Apr 7, 2026 +2
To be fair, I had forgotten about it until seeing this trailer.
2
whitepangolin Apr 6, 2026 +39
So it looks like Punisher is going to go up against Ma Gnucci in his TV special. Man, I hope they adapt the entirety of her origin run where he feeds an entire group of mobsters to various animals at the zoo lmao
39
ArchDucky Apr 6, 2026 +17
Its only an hour so I would assume it will be heavily truncated.
17
whitepangolin Apr 6, 2026 +1
Might be a flashback.
1
confusing_roundabout Apr 7, 2026 +1
I wish they were adapting some of the MAX run instead.
1
Punisherbrett Apr 7, 2026 +1
I think there’s a Max character in the special. I hope so, because he’s one of my favorites.
1
covert0ptional Apr 7, 2026 +1
I didn't even know about that special, I thought he was just going to be in Spider-Man.
1
jnighy Apr 7, 2026 +19
I honestly thought OP was posting a trailer weeks late. But no..they actually released it after the first 3 episodes of the show
19
SpaceMonkey1505 Apr 7, 2026 +11
How is season 2 so far? I remember not liking S1 as much as others but I'd like to know if it's worth watching
11
PossibleBasil Apr 7, 2026 +13
I'm not in love with it, but it's better than season 1 so far.
13
TheBigLeMattSki Apr 7, 2026 +13
It's definitely better than season one, but the plot as a whole is stretching my suspension of disbelief as far as it can possibly go. I simply do not believe that the mayor of New York City has the ability to execute a full-on dictatorial takeover as portrayed in the show, and the show hasn't done anything to convince me otherwise. I understand the Trump parallels, but Trump is president of the United States and has the backing of the entire Republican establishment. Fisk is only the mayor of a large city, and one that has more guardrails around its mayor than most due to the city's status as the financial center of the West.
13
NubOnReddit Apr 7, 2026 +30
To be fair, the state of US Politics in the MCU is in a current state of chaos. - The president turned into a rampaging Hulk and had to step down from office. - The head of the CIA is corrupt as shit, made a black ops team of ‘Avengers’ and is currently protecting Fisk. - The previous president was probably impeached over the whole Skrull stuff, or at the very least just caused pure carnage. - There was almost a world war because of the celestial from Eternals. And all that happened in the span of like 6 months timeline-wise, and not even mentioning the snap.

I-Am-The-Uber-Mesch Apr 7, 2026 +6
Man and I thought we were having it bad! /s
6
Vadermaulkylo Apr 7, 2026 +1
Fisk shouldn’t but de Fontaine and the CIA as a whole is letting it slide.
1
PossibleBasil Apr 7, 2026 -5
Fisk being mayor in the first place is absolutely ridiculous considering everything he did in Daredevil seasons 1-3. The "well, Trump" excuse isn't comparable when Fisk murdered cops and innocent people, and had dozens of witnesses to his crimes. The way Born Again selectively chooses what to keep from the original show while sidelining or ignoring key elements is unbelievably frustrating.
-5
Anklebender91 Apr 7, 2026 +7
personally it's very underwhelming vs what Netflix put out.
7
Thomas_JCG Apr 7, 2026 +1
I'm liking it much more, but the plot is just starting to move.
1
NubOnReddit Apr 7, 2026 +2
I’d say its Netflix level, just with a different vibe with a majorly different main cast. The only main carryovers are Daredevil, Fisk, Karen, Vanessa and Dex. Though Jessica and >!Mahoney!< are coming back later in the season, and there will be a flashback episode featuring >!Foggy and Wesley!<.
2
Special_Life_9625 Apr 7, 2026 +3
So is this rolling into punisher, then brand new day?
3
Jet-Let4606 Apr 7, 2026 +6
No Punisher in DD:BA S2. The Punisher special picks up his storyline from where it was left off in DD:BA S1.
6
The_Swarm22 Apr 6, 2026 +15
So Bullseye kills Vanessa in episode 4 right? They can’t make it anymore obvious at this point.
15
jez124 Apr 6, 2026 +11
Strong death flags for her and Daniel. Kinda sick of Kingpin but him post Vanessa's death could be interesting.
11
Tr1pline Apr 7, 2026 +2
how so?
2
Eiden58 Apr 6, 2026 +10
Odd choice to not put out the full trailer until now, but can't wait for the rest of the season! Been great so far.
10
Regula96 Apr 6, 2026 +5
I'm trying to wait. I want to binge it like I did the Netflix show.
5
ArchDucky Apr 6, 2026 -5
Start watching now and join the discourse. Its fun to talk about the things you like with other people that like the same things.

No.

Eli954 Apr 6, 2026 +4
Daughter?
4
Eiden58 Apr 6, 2026 +23
I was surprised to hear that too, I'm guessing it's Luke Cage's, because they have a daughter in the comics named Danielle Edit: Why am I getting downvoted for providing relevant info lmao
23
Eli954 Apr 6, 2026 +5
Probably. Just surprised, because last we saw them, he was with Claire.
5
Eiden58 Apr 6, 2026 +5
Didn't they break up? I can't remember entirely
5
Eli954 Apr 6, 2026 +1
I don’t remember either. The only thing about season 2 of Luke Cage was him getting giddy at the one evil lady dying.
1
otrew Apr 6, 2026 +2
Well in the comic she have a daughter with Luke. IT been a lot years since last time we saw them, so they could be a couple. Luke could be take care of her and would explain his abscence,
2
clain4671 Apr 7, 2026 +1
also if they are planning on putting luke and danny in the "heroes for hire" status quo, jessica as a private eye is the most natual way to segway to that.
1
Eli954 Apr 6, 2026 +2
I get that. It’s just that last we saw that, he was with Claire. Granted a lot of time has probably passed.
2
Morgan-Moonscar Apr 6, 2026 +5
The last we saw she broke up with him because he refused to deal with his anger issues and she didn't want to be around him. Then he cut her off entirely when he became the crimelord of Harlem, and she reached out to try to talk sense into Luke.
5
Eli954 Apr 6, 2026 +1
Didn’t remember. Thats for the reminder. He still wasn’t with Jessica though.
1
UserWithno-Name Apr 6, 2026 +1
They broke up. A while back. I think before the end of his show, but especially after he "took over Harlem". Even if he did it so no one actually had was in charge and he could control the crime, she didn't like that/ couldn't agree. He was single the last they left it. And the big thing with Jessica was she was working thru her traumas still and he was too occupied with coming back to the world (after that time in jail or captured or whatever) and having to fight cottonmouth / his half brother. They could have easily got past that to reconnect & decide life was okay enough to be in a relationship.
1
Eli954 Apr 6, 2026 +1
I didn’t really remember, but thanks for the reminder. Him and Jessica weren’t together though, so jumping ahead to them having a kid (possibly) is still a bit jarring.
1
UserWithno-Name Apr 6, 2026 +6
No it isn't. There's been a time jump of almost a decade in the universe. And that was just after the timeline of endgame. Another 3+ years has passed in universe since. It's like. 2029 in the timeline of the mcu now. They've already said all these characters have lived 7+ years we didn't see on screen. It's only jarring because you're incorrectly thinking no time passed since the original shows cancellation. Time passed the same though. Those long years they couldn't play the characters again, they made canon the characters still lived life and had that time pass, we just didn't see it. It's also a neat way to explain the actual aging of the actors. Jones and cage probably have been together for 5 years if not all 7+.
6
Eli954 Apr 6, 2026 +2
I understand that time jump part. What’s jarring is that we don’t get to see any of it develop. They just have a kid.
2
UserWithno-Name Apr 6, 2026 +1
I mean not really. People live lives we don't see all the time. In the past without FB, IG, etc, you'd lose touch with people and if you reconnected, many times it was because you both became parents and you know have to learn a completely different person because they're not the same you once knew. Pretty sure they'll take time to show the personality and behavior changes that inform who Jessica and Luke are now also. Just like they showed how Matt changed and went corpo lawyer sort of with success and comfortable income. Totally different to how he was when still daredevil & foggy was around. Then he had to come back to poverty and the real world/ muck to do good or actually help real people. Difference will be, their changes have to stick around because they're parents now so have to think of their kid first & can't risk dying so easily. If they risk death, has to be because it'll keep their kid safe & is the only way to protect the world for said kid. Stories have done character development without showing every part of it on screen forever now. Marvel/ mcu especially does it. Context clues and media literacy does plenty to fill the gaps.
1
Eli954 Apr 6, 2026 +1
I’m not saying it’s not realistic for them to get together during the time. I’m just saying I would have liked to see it. Going from them not being together, to now having a kid is jarring to me.
1
ArchDucky Apr 6, 2026 +1
There was a rumor that was reinforced by Jessica Henwick that all of the defenders were on set for Season 2. Obviously... Jessica Jones is back and >!they were all spotted shooting Season 3 a few days ago!< but still makes me wonder if we are going to see them in Season 2.
1
oldmanjenkins51 Apr 7, 2026 +3
I’m enjoying it but the cinematography is distractingly bad.
3
impuritor Apr 7, 2026 +1
Just in time
1
rikashiku Apr 7, 2026 +1
Didn't this season release like two weeks ago? Why a trailer now? Also, I enjoy the presentation of Bullseye.
1
Nekajed Apr 7, 2026 +1
Kinda weird watching this trailer and knowing exactly how some of the fakeouts turn out (like Fisk ICE unmasking Matt for example). Super excited for some Jessicaaaaahh though.
1
MyDearDapple Apr 7, 2026
Didn't care for S1 (I don't even think I finished it). Opted to give S2E3 a shot, anyway. Only good part was Mr. Cox sans shirt. Everything else: zzzzzzzzzzzzzz. It's so poorly directed, written and edited.
0
AleehCosta Apr 6, 2026 +1
When does it release?
1
Eiden58 Apr 6, 2026 +9
3 episodes are already out, not sure why they're dropping the trailer now
9
UserWithno-Name Apr 6, 2026 +6
Mid season trailer. Technically.
6
Eiden58 Apr 6, 2026 +3
Yeah, but it has parts from the first episodes too and doesn't spoil them, so couldve just released it before the show
3
UserWithno-Name Apr 6, 2026 +1
I don't disagree, just what I think they're doing / realized by episode count. Think they just want to get more people watching even if they know a lot want to wait and binge. They're trying to train more people to watch on release. *maybe*
1
firedmyass Apr 6, 2026 +3
I wanna know when does Jessica show up!!
3
Doombah Apr 7, 2026 +2
I have a feeling that it may be this week given they're releasing this now and features her a lot. Also, she mentions her daughter. Are we going to see her and Luke together with Danielle, or are they going to go a different route? It'll be interesting to see!
2
firedmyass Apr 7, 2026 +2
fingers *crossed*
2
Twotricx Apr 7, 2026 -2
Extremely slow and boring. Each episode is hour of talking and 2 minutes of action
-2
lance777 Apr 7, 2026 -1
So the cops find out his identity. That's the sort of spoliers you don't want in a trailer
-1
Blueberry_H3AD Apr 7, 2026 +9
That was the scene at the end of episode 1.
9
lance777 Apr 7, 2026 +1
Ah. good to know.
1
bgarza18 Apr 7, 2026
A trailer for a show that’s already out?

Tired of always checkin in on the dumbass citizens, gimme one shot fights of Daredevil. Too many jump cuts in the action now, makes it feel fake af
