Eternia in this is giving me vibes of Asgard during the events of Thor Ragnarok
853
thedoge Mar 31, 2026 +477
Everything about this is Ragnarok. They even have a remixed Magic Sword soundtrack
477
nabokovslovechild Mar 31, 2026 +57
I saw Magic Sword in concert earlier this year and had an absolute blast.
57
No_Equivalent_9056 Mar 31, 2026 +14
Coming to see them again this spring?!
14
RobotPreacher Mar 31, 2026 +31
Wrong. Thor Ragnarok had Idris Elba, a big sword that was important to the plot, and a blond pretty-boy main character whose father was kidnapped while he was away from his alien homeworld which gets destroyed.
31
Sisiwakanamaru Mar 31, 2026 +226
Yup, also Idris Elba is in both movies.
226
Black_Otter Mar 31, 2026 +93
I’m not sure Idris really has to change characters
93
Dorsai_Erynus Mar 31, 2026 +17
Sir Idris Elba!

monkpunch Mar 31, 2026 +64
I noticed the "slow-mo leap into battle" multiple times already just from the trailers. Someone really liked that part from Thor
64
feel-T_ornado Mar 31, 2026 +13
Yeah, but it feels like they went with *Watchmen*'s approach, which makes it 1000% cooler
13
garrisontweed Mar 31, 2026 +16
I don't know, Matthew McConaughey character in Reign of Fire . Leaps towards the Dragon with his battle axe is pretty damn cool.
16
TensorForce Mar 31, 2026 +96
Which, to be fair, I'm not even mad about. Ragnarok was solid, and a clear homage to He-Man and 80s sci fi.
96
neoblackdragon Mar 31, 2026 +23
Yeah honestly it does read more like He-Man then Marvel Comics Thor. The first film is more Thor then the others.
23
Wanderlustfull Mar 31, 2026 +33
Than. THAN.
33
nuisible Mar 31, 2026 +25
No, the first movie is first then there are others. /s
25
whitniverse Mar 31, 2026 +29
I believe the Eternia setting and Masters of the Universe was an attempt by a toy company to create their own Jack Kirby-esque science-fantasy IP. The fact that years later a He-Man movie looks like a Marvel Thor movie is like, yeah, that was the intent.
29
ask_why_im_angry Apr 1, 2026 +9
You should watch their episode of The Toys That Made Us. Its pretty funny, He-Man was just toys, like they just designed all these guys and made all these cool toys without any cohesion or setting or anything. After that, it was just them winging it. It wouldn't surprise me if someone was a Kirby reader though.

Also, the "cosmic key" the characters are all looking for opens portals that function almost identically to the boom tubes created by a Mother Box in the Fourth World.
4
ProfessorChaos5049 Mar 31, 2026 +29
First thought that popped into my head was Asgard in Ragnarok
29
dsmith422 Mar 31, 2026 +6
There were two shots in the trailer recreating Thor's leap with his lightning from Ragnarok. He-Man at the beginning and then Skeletor toward the end.
6
locke_5 Mar 31, 2026 +994
Honestly, props to them for having restraint with “What’s Up” by 4 Non-Blondes. Was certain it would be in the first full trailer. AND HE PRAYS!
994
KingMario05 Mar 31, 2026 +356
It'll be the credits song, lol. ~~As it should be.~~
356
locke_5 Mar 31, 2026 +218
Or the opening scene of the movie is Adam waking up and getting ready for work and the song is his alarm
218
Depreciable_Land Mar 31, 2026 +83
Gives a good opportunity for him to yell while brushing his teeth or some shit
83
7thArcana Mar 31, 2026 +55
Him gargling mouthwash is gonna be how we get the head throwing back at the chorus.
55
Depreciable_Land Mar 31, 2026 +49
Screenwriting is so easy
49
ScramItVancity Apr 1, 2026 +3
It would be such a Nicholas Galitzine thing to do.
3
Somnambulist815 Mar 31, 2026 +9
Maybe there're anti monarchist rumblings in Eternia, so we can get Skeletor saying "I pray every single day for a revolution"
9
Corronchilejano Mar 31, 2026 +16
If they don't adapt it as a post credits scene we riot.
16
Regular-Researcher69 Mar 31, 2026 +8
Nope. It'll be the opening fade in song. But like a slow slow slow acoustic chill version. I guarantee it.
8
fluffhead77 Apr 1, 2026 +3
So, like, the original?
3
OYB2480 Mar 31, 2026 +152
OH ^MY ^^^GOD does he pray!
152
SolarFazes Mar 31, 2026 +60
Nyaah!
60
Wanderlustfull Mar 31, 2026 +21
I swear to god if Skeletor doesn't Nyaah! this film won't be worth seeing.
21
antiphonic Mar 31, 2026 +5
yeah the low voice was a let down. the big kicker is if orko doesnt get screen time.
5

16
Vittulima Mar 31, 2026 +35
I watched the trailer just to see that. Disappointed tbh
35
BeatsbyChrisBrown Mar 31, 2026 +24
Bet you it’s going to play during the end credits just before the stinger revealing the He-Man x Thundercats team up for the sequel
24
HorrorDot3859 Mar 31, 2026 +7
this made me feel things
7
juluss Mar 31, 2026 +12
I saw the trailer in theater the other day and I was litteraly waiting for the joke with "What's Up" but it never came. So sad.
12
mrhelmand Mar 31, 2026 +9
It'll be hard to surpass what TMNT Mutant Mayhem did with that song but I hope it gets a shout-out somewhere
9
fizzlefist Mar 31, 2026 +10
That sequence in Mutant Mayhem was perfect. Spoilers: https://youtu.be/9WvOxfWUu2M?si=QDJczpSOL9frdUqm
10
Implausibilibuddy Mar 31, 2026 +27
Oh god, it would be the "Epic" version like they do with all movie trailers. Soft whispery vocals, sparse piano accompaniment, right up until "...and I say...." HEEEE-YAAAY-YAAAY-YAA Full orchestral drop, "Drums of War" Kontakt library on overload, synth bassline. Arrgh I hate it so much and it doesn't even exist.
27
mightymonkeyman Mar 31, 2026 +4
At a minimum they should recreate that video over the end credits in live action.
4
Accipiter1138 Mar 31, 2026 +3
It doesn't exist, *yet*. Be the change you don't want to see in the world. You can always make everything just a little bit worse.
3
ozymandieus Mar 31, 2026 +8
Hey-man
8
USDXBS Mar 31, 2026 +4
Surprised it's not a slowed down cover.
4
ArchDucky Mar 31, 2026 +1088
Im getting a notion that the marketing people are trying to hide the fact that Jared Leto is in this movie.
1088
NeoNoireWerewolf Mar 31, 2026 +510
They 100% are. Tron: Ares was a huge bomb, and trade magazines like Variety and Hollywood Reporter were running articles a week or two after release about how studios have lost faith in Leto as a star.
510
gosukhaos Mar 31, 2026 +321
It only took them Ares bombing to realize that?
321
Justifiably_Bad_Take Mar 31, 2026 +147
Have they tried rereleasing Ares a second time?
147
One_Tie900 Mar 31, 2026 +10
Didn't watch it, but after this comment I just might
10
OfficalNotMySalad Mar 31, 2026 +68
I think they knew general audiences didn’t like him but mostly every movie he has been in has been a hit (Morbius excluded). He’s also usually a supporting character in the cast. People were asking for a Tron sequel for ages and then when it arrived, although he wasn’t the only issue, I think it’s just the straw that broke the camel’s back. Masters of the Universe was clearly too far into production to replace him… or he has some heavy black mail on Hollywood execs
68
kbarnett514 Mar 31, 2026 +65
>I think it’s just the straw that broke the camel’s back. Yeah, I probably would have at least watched Tron: Ares if Leto wasn't in it
65
ilikechihuahuasdood Mar 31, 2026 +19
The problem there is that a Tron sequel wouldn’t have happened at all if not for Leto.
19
moochacho1418 Mar 31, 2026 +32
Well then I wasn't gonna watch it anyway
32
Bromogeeksual Mar 31, 2026 +10
Same! I really liked the Tron Legacy, but had no interest in Jared Leto.
10
deadscreensky Apr 1, 2026 +7
>I think they knew general audiences didn’t like him but mostly every movie he has been in has been a hit (Morbius excluded). No, his six films prior to Tron all lost money. Before that you get Suicide Squad and Dallas Buyers Club, which did well, but then it's back to misses like Mr. Nobody, the Lord of War, and Alexander. Leto has a poor box office track record. That's one of the reasons the love studios have (had?) for him is so inexplicable.
7
NightmareDJK Mar 31, 2026 +21
There were issues surrounding him long before Morbius came out.
21
iStorm_exe Mar 31, 2026 +55
ngl im no jared leto defender but he was the least of that movies problems and this is coming from someone who enjoyed the movie and a big fan of tron legacy
55
TheShoobaLord Mar 31, 2026 +57
It’s not a question of if he’s a bad actor is that he’s a weird f****** person and a lot of people have caught on to that and see him as a negative draw
57
idontagreewitu Mar 31, 2026 +18
I went in with tempered expectations and had a fairly good time watching the movie. And Leto wasn't even the worst character/actor in the movie. That goes to Dillinger's kid/grandkid/whoever that was.
18
LemoLuke Mar 31, 2026 +23
It's not the worst film I've seen, but the decision to make a *Tron* movie where 75% of it is set in the real world is such a baffling choice. *Tron* is similar to *Avatar* where the real star of the franchise is the fantastic setting and visuals. I don't think many people would be as excited for an *Avatar* movie where most of it is set on modern day Earth.
23
barrinmw Mar 31, 2026 +13
Jared Leto was literally one of the producers. he was a big part of the problem.
13
Xenochimp Mar 31, 2026 +4
Too bad it wasn't the 9+ accusations of sexual assault to get studios to question giving him roles
4
Griffdude13 Mar 31, 2026 +160
It doesn’t even sound like him. They could replace him with Mark Hamill and be all the better for it.
160
SmokinBandit28 Mar 31, 2026 +139
That’s the part that makes no sense, Leto is objectively box office poison, Skeletor is practically a full CG character in this, Mark Hamill has voiced the character before and I’d say his name carries much more star power.
139
LastBaron Mar 31, 2026 +27
Masters of the Universe (Netflix) spoilers: Hamill voice Skeletor: >!“Well then what are we going to do, ask her nicely to ‘Please stop destroying the universe!” ?? !< Adam: Hamill voice Skeletor: >!…….oh my god, we are.!<
27
withateethuh Mar 31, 2026 +14
Oh shit when did hamill voice him?
14
Griffdude13 Mar 31, 2026 +41
The 2 sequel mini series on Netflix. It’s more or less just his Joker voice, but still works really well.
41
MrDTD Mar 31, 2026 +45
I mean the venn diagram between skeletor an joker is just skeletor says nyeh more.
45
Posavec235 Mar 31, 2026 +15
He also voiced a Skeleton-like character called, believe it or not, Skeleton King, in a show called Super Robot Monkey Team Hyperforce Go.
15
SmokinBandit28 Mar 31, 2026 +7
Best bit is this [reveal](https://youtu.be/PQwbDFkDlaY?feature=shared)
7
vayn0r Mar 31, 2026 +18
He almost sounded like Ralph Fiennes tbh.
18
Matazat Mar 31, 2026 +35
How does this guy keep getting work? Are they contractually obligated to hire him or something?
35
6BagsOfPopcorn Mar 31, 2026 +17
I think he must bankroll his way into everything by now
17
JustHereSoImNotFined Mar 31, 2026 +12
The only reason he was in the new Tron was because he was executive producer aka provided funding
12
agentinks Mar 31, 2026 +14
Holy shit! He's f****** Skeletor? I had no idea. Wow. F*** me, that's wild. They are definitely hiding that.
14
ArchDucky Mar 31, 2026 +4
With that crazy deep modulated english accent hes doing, you can't f****** tell at all.
4
TheDieselAllez Mar 31, 2026 +290
Cringer as the MGM logo!
290
Reyjr Mar 31, 2026 +100
Was excited about this too told my wife and she responded with “mmhmm”
100
optimisskryme Mar 31, 2026 +25
Hahaha that happened to me too.
25
Initial_E Mar 31, 2026 +17
Who’s cringer this is battle cat.
17
Weird_Snowman Mar 31, 2026 +10
Battlecat has armor
10
Jimmni Mar 31, 2026 +8
There's no way Cringer would be roaring like that. That's Battlecat for sure.
8
Weird_Snowman Mar 31, 2026 +5
But I need to see the armor! Lol
5
Statement-Acceptable Mar 31, 2026 +274
Needs the OG theme music IMO
274
Crimkam Mar 31, 2026 +260
it needs 10 hours and 31 minutes of Prince Adam singing HEYEAYEA
260
LiamtheV Mar 31, 2026 +46
And I wake in the morning and I step outside and I take a deep breath, and get real high, and I scream at the top of my lungs, WHATS GOIN ON?!
46
360walkaway Mar 31, 2026 +15
First scene of the movie will be him waking up to that as his alarm clock sound.
15
makemeking706 Mar 31, 2026 +6
Saving that for the mid credit scene.
6
bwweryang Mar 31, 2026 +21
One thousand percent. I wish there was a good parody rock band I could think of to cover it. Tenacious D aren’t really a thing now, and I can’t think of anyone who has a sound that complements the original.
21
zedexthree000 Mar 31, 2026 +22
The Darkness could do it. they're a perfect blend of metal and cheese.
22
GourangaPlusPlus Mar 31, 2026 +3
Sounds better than my lead laced cheddar
3
bwweryang Mar 31, 2026 +6
Not a bad shout. Crazy no one similar has emerged since.
6
BrickTilt Mar 31, 2026 +6
It’s not the full song, but I read that Brian May (Queen) has done the score or at least music for it - certainly sound like him on this trailer…
6
becherbrook Mar 31, 2026 +5
They're at least doing an arrangement of the theme. It's slowed down to hell but it's there in the trailer. Speeds up into being recognizable after he says "Whatever that is."
5
maximumtesticle Mar 31, 2026 +14
...that's literally what's playing the whole time.
14
Fanjolin Mar 31, 2026 +6
100%. This is all build on nostalgia and was waiting for a glimpse of the theme. Like to the point that it reduced my excitement to see it significantly.
6
rmarkmatthews Mar 31, 2026 +43
Replacing the MGM lion with Battle Cast was cute, I'll have to admit.
43
prismmonkey Mar 31, 2026 +233
Live action Trapjaw looks dope. But this Orko erasure cannot stand.
233
TrustInRoy Mar 31, 2026 +47
Supposedly he's gonna show up. TriKlops is in the film but I'm not sure if we've seen him yet.
47
prismmonkey Mar 31, 2026 +13
Nice! I spied Stratos, Ram Man, and Fisto in a group shot. Funny enough, the woods had me pumped. The forest in the trailer looks so much like those weird looking static fantasy woods so many action scenes took place in. They've paid a lot of attention to detail.
13
TrustInRoy Mar 31, 2026 +5
Where did you see Stratos?  You might have mistaken Mekanek.
5
prismmonkey Mar 31, 2026 +3
The group shot where he points to the fishman and says "And whatever that is." To the left, you see a guy with glowy goggles that looks a lot like Stratos to me. Edit: You're right. That's probably Mekanek.
3
BestPlace5473 Mar 31, 2026 +3
Tri klops is in the scene where he man is fighting the henchmen. Spikor is next to him
3
c0r3yz Mar 31, 2026 +22
Orko has to be in this. I about did a backflip then I first saw Cringer/Battle Cat! Trapjaw looks sick as hell, and supposedly Tri-Klops and Mekaneck are in it, too, but it just wouldn't be Masters of the Universe without Orko...
22
prismmonkey Mar 31, 2026 +3
I'm pretty happy with what we've seen so far. I had initially placed it on the "to stream" list, but I think we have a theater-worthy popcorn nostalgia flick on our hands here.
3
2th Mar 31, 2026 +13
F*** that, give us Stinkor!
13
prismmonkey Mar 31, 2026 +6
I still remember what that action figure smelled like, lol. Oddly peppery.
6
Least-Conference9547 Mar 31, 2026 +6
Orko better be in it.
6
SlaterVBenedict Mar 31, 2026 +6
For real, Griffin Newman deserves reparations
6
DarthVerus Mar 31, 2026 +405
John Carter of Eternia
405
One-Earth9294 Mar 31, 2026 +82
If John Carter went to Eternia I probably would've enjoyed that movie more lol.
82
DarthVerus Mar 31, 2026 +40
I feel like 50% of people won’t even realize this isn’t Taylor Kish, not realizing that dude is almost 50 now.
40
One-Earth9294 Mar 31, 2026 +39
He does have a very Taylor Kitsch vibe to him. But the difference between that movie and this one is the fans it's doing fan service for aren't 125 years old. Just mid 40s like me lol.
39
RelaxYourself Mar 31, 2026 +67
I dig it.. Can we do Thundercats now??!!
67
Mortegro Mar 31, 2026 +19
Give me Silverhawks! Hell, make it a double feature event like Barbenheimer (Silvercats? Thunderhawks?)
19
976chip Mar 31, 2026 +4
May as well do the full Rankin/Bass trio and throw Tiger Sharks in there as well.
4
NikolaiEgel Mar 31, 2026 +7
Dino Riders or nothing!
7
ozymandieus Mar 31, 2026 +243
I hope this is as e***** as the show.
243

Finally, a movie for the gooners
100
Zlatan_Ibrahimovic Mar 31, 2026 +107
Evil-Lyn's pretty young, we try not to sexualize her.
107
Rich-Pomegranate1679 Mar 31, 2026 +27
Huh? I only have enough energy to goon for Skeletor.
27
Singer211 Mar 31, 2026 +6
Biggest lie the show ever told.
6

A blockbuster in 2026 being e*****? Yea right
17
TrapperJean Mar 31, 2026 +15
"I can't believe people are getting off to th-" *1.3 seconds of Alison Brie* "Annie, step on my neck"
15
connorgrs Mar 31, 2026 +3
As a *Red, White, and Royal Blue* fan I was more distracted by Nicholas Galitzine and that skimpy warrior costume of his
3
thefrostman1214 Mar 31, 2026 +215
You know what? I kinda dig it Also not seeing leto's face helps
215
Cazmonster Mar 31, 2026 +64
And the voice coaching helps me not recognize him either.
64
norkotah Mar 31, 2026 +18
Should have just had Mark Hamill do it. "F*** you Leto, AHAHAHA."
18
Dinierto Mar 31, 2026 +7
I agree but simultaneously I'm not sure I care for it, I guess we'll see
7
Seibertpost Mar 31, 2026 +11
It feels like they just adapted the show but with an awesome upgrade to the visuals. I appreciate that they didn’t try to darken, stylize, or reinvent it too much
11
CrimsonDessert Mar 31, 2026 +18
They should just over dub him with Tig Notaro like they did with that other pedophile in the Zombie movie
18
sasquatch0_0 Mar 31, 2026 +10
But him not doing the voice hurts
10
TrustInRoy Mar 31, 2026 +48
5 year old me is stoked
48
Gina_the_Alien Mar 31, 2026 +16
Man I tend to be sort of a curmudgeon when it comes to movies but so many of these scenes look so much like what I envisioned in my head as an eight year old playing with my He Man figures. I’ll be there opening day.
16
BryanDowling93 Mar 31, 2026 +217
If anything, Alison Brie will probably have the time of her life as Evil-Lyn. She is seriously one of the most energetic and animated actresses working today. She's great. Her going full Zoya the Destroyah! may make this somewhat worth watching. Even if it's just clips on YouTube.
217
nusquam_sum Mar 31, 2026 +68
GLOW was amazing. What actually sold me on the Evil-Lyn casting was her voice work for Star Wars Visions. Now this is a woman who knows how to portray a camp villain!
68
thegodofwine7 Mar 31, 2026 +45
Allison is pretty young, we try not to villainize her.
45
clubofab7 Mar 31, 2026 +6
She went all out in that lol. Very entertaining
6
Jimmni Mar 31, 2026 +10
She looks f****** amazing as Evil-Lyn.
10
Ironyfree_annie Mar 31, 2026 +11
One 'Vodka for Breakfast' would finish He-man
11
-Greis- Mar 31, 2026 +6
I wasn’t digging this when the teaser dropped but yesterday I heard she was in this and seeing the clip of her made me psyched to check it out.
6
singleguy79 Mar 31, 2026 +48
If Orko doesn't show up, we riot.
48
Least-Conference9547 Mar 31, 2026 +7
Exactly....we need Orko.
7
patatjepindapedis Mar 31, 2026 +62
I need more Brie in this
62
Depreciable_Land Mar 31, 2026 +40
The pastry chef when my dessert isn’t cheesy enough
40
patatjepindapedis Mar 31, 2026 +10
Drizzle some honey all over that
10
bwweryang Mar 31, 2026 +16
I need more Brie
16
Griffdude13 Mar 31, 2026 +4
I mean, it already looks pretty cheesy in the best way possible.
4
sat5ui_no_hadou Mar 31, 2026 +58
Listnookors in these comments are getting hyped, which is how I know it’s going to bomb for sure.
58
Alak-huls_Anonymous Mar 31, 2026 +10
It's 50/50. Half are excited the other half are lamenting why a movie based on an 80s cartoon/line of action figures isn't transcendent.
10
dennythedinosaur Mar 31, 2026 +6
It's gonna be Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves all over again. "This looks stupid. Who is this movie for?" 6 months later... "This was a surprisingly good movie. Why did it flop at the box office?"
6
RDeschain1 Mar 31, 2026 +84
Just 5 more seconds and it would have included the movies conclusion aswell.
84
Funkycoldmedici Mar 31, 2026 +75
This is a live action reboot of an 80’s cartoon made to sell toys that were manufactured before a storyline was even made up around them. We know exactly the beats of this movie from start to finish, and that’s fine. The only unknown thing about this movie is how all us dads are going to convince our kids we did not have brain damage for liking this. As if their shows are better.

“He man? Looks lame. We aren’t going. I know it’ll end up a Fortnite skin and I’m not buying it for you” Boom they’ll go Or if reverse psychology isn’t effective on your kid, just leave your he man toys around the house starting now but don’t say what they are from

Welcome to 2026. Unfortunately, it's proven that movies do better at the box office when their trailers give most of the story away. People want to know what they're going to spend money on.

Hmm. Visuals still look iffy, but I'm seeing a lot more Travis Knight than last time, and the physical fighting continues to look badass. Despite (probably) mediocre at best reviews, I think this could be a sleeper against the heavy hitters. Not *Project Hail Mary*, but a solid franchise starter for Amazon MGM & Mattel.

Biggest takeaway for me is that thank god they made Skeleton's voice unrecognizable so you won't be distracted about it being Jared Leto.

No Travis Knight movie has gotten below 90% on RT. Not sure why you’d expect this to be the first. At worst I’d expect this to be this year’s Dungeons and Dragons: Honor Among Thieves - really fun, entertaining fantasy that fails to earn.

So disappointed more people didn't get out for D&D.

DND was surprisingly a good movie

It got the biggest laugh out of me from a movie in a loooong time. (When the Chris Pine illusion fails)

I will never get over the Paladin just walking away in a straight line over the rock.

Roseking Mar 31, 2026 +16
That was improvised. The directors just never called cut to see how long he would just walk and what he would do when he got to the rock. https://mashable.com/article/xenk-paladin-walk-rege-jean-page > "That moment was one of the few things that we found on the day," said Daley. "We had Regé walking in a straight line away from the scene, and we decided to just keep the cameras rolling and see what he'd do." > "He would just go until we'd call 'cut,' so we were like, 'Don't call cut. Let's just see what happens,'" Goldstein said. > "We had no idea how Regé would handle [the rock]," Daley added. "And the fact that he hopped over it was so hilarious to us that we knew we had to include it."

Apparently they were supposed to say cut long before he got to the boulder, but they didn’t because they wanted to see what the actor would do when he got to it.

>No Travis Knight movie has gotten below 90% on RT. Not sure why you’d expect this to be the first. While correct, he has only directed two movies before this one... Not exactly a large enough sample to expect him to always be able to hit that mark.

A very fair point. And it's nice to see Mattel having genuine fun with He-Man again. Here's hoping he finds his crew.

Oh shit Trap-Jaw. And that spinny blade vehicle thing. Was kinda hoping Skeletor would have the high pitched cackling voice but still looks like it's gonna be a fun movie.

Looks like someone watched Thor Ragnarok and Guardians of the Galaxy 2! Colour-grade is INTENSE.

LongPorkJones Mar 31, 2026 +3
It's almost as if they're trying to give the vibrant color palette of a cartoon from the 80s to a live action film. Oh, wait...

maclood Mar 31, 2026 +27
This looks like loads of fun! I hope this revival of 80s IP continues so I can get a Thundercats flick with this kinda budget. I love this stuff lol

If this movie slaps then I want Travis Knight to go ahead and make live action TMNT, Thundercats, GI Joe etc. Basically anything that Robot Chicken makes a sketch about.

Skeletor voice doesn't do it for me

This looks like another fine addition to the "Jared Leto Stars in a Box Office Bomb" cinematic universe.

finally, some new life in the He-Man universe! hope they do the lore justice this time.

He-Man on earth is a weird move. Sure his mom is from Earth. Hopefully they dont mess this up.

casual_creator Mar 31, 2026 +6
Happens a lot with fantasy movies where studios are unsure…they feel like audiences need to be eased into the world and find the main character relatable by being from/starting out on earth. It’s dumb.

They're definitely drawing heavily from the toy line and even including my [favourite vehicle](https://external-content.duckduckgo.com/iu/?u=https%3A%2F%2Fi.ytimg.com%2Fvi%2F_dFbrXaZsCE%2Fmaxresdefault.jpg&f=1&nofb=1&ipt=5151f85fb34cc141810f4be82cf6060060399fb96bb4b93f1c2d0b4f8fce3638) so hopefully so. I spent *so* many hours playing with that thing as a kid.

It's a shame that they casted Jared Leto as Skeletor, you can't really tell if it is him, Bill Hader would've been the better choice.

It's He-Man not Citizens Kane. All the footage I've seen so far gives me the feeling it's going to be a blast

I have no real stake in this but I feel crazy: is no one at all a bit concerned a out shoehorning the “I’m on Earth but I’m actually a prince/hero from a fantastical world” trope? Why not just set it all in Eternia?

Its so Thor Ragnarok coded complete with a riff on that Magic Sword song and Idris Elba as a grizzled veteran and the protagonist talking about wanting to go home and building a team and jumping at something is this anything or Anyways it could be fun. The CGI looks very strange and I can't pinpoint why. I'm not the target audience for He Man or Sword and Sorcery flicks but I am cautiously intrigued.

Cazmonster Mar 31, 2026 +4
Thor Ragnarok was a great romp of a movie. I hope He-Man can do the same.
