>“I’d certainly never read anything like it,” Rhys said during an Apple TV panel discussion at the streamer’s Santa Monica press day in February. “I’d grown up with things like the *Wicker Man* and *Jaws* and things like this, and this was kind of everything I’d always thought I would never get to do. When I knew it was this mash-up and meeting these two, it was sort of done in a millisecond. It became a true dream job.”

I know someone who has seen the first 3 episodes. starts off a bit meh apparantly, but by episode 3 ur enthralled apparantly. Doesn't treat the viewer like a f****** moron too which i love the sound of.

If Matthew Rhys is calling it Wicker Man meets Jaws, I’m in. Honestly wish Apple would drop a proper teaser soon so we know what flavor of weird this is.

But Apple released several teasers for it. I think it's a record for teasers for one of their shows, actually. And they opted for many "teaser trailers" (as they called them) and no actual trailer for the show that premieres Wednesday. I think the strategy was to make everything confusing and strange and hope for good reviews.

So it'll either be pretty good or pretty bad 👍

Loved Matthew in Owl House. He did so well as Emperor Belos and this has gotten me interested in Widow’s Bay.

I’d watch that man read the ingredients off the back of a ketchup bottle for 3h straight and be happy about it. Excited for whatever he’s going to be doing.
