It's in the trailer isn't it? Burnt out mom, feeling like she's drowning, stumbles upon an onlyfan's esq p*** site, probably called maximum pleasure guaranteed or some shit. She connects with the dude, enjoys the sex bits, gets addicted, it spirals, spills into her real life. Either she's gonna see some shit she shouldn't or the site is a sex trafficking thing, either way suddenly her outlet to pleasure is now a threat to her and her family. She gets to be charming and badass when pushed. Season 1 done.

This is a trailer. I would imagine the actual show will have a more clear narrative. It just seems odd to see a trailer that doesn't explain the premise of the show.

The premise is clear as water, someone else outlined it elsewhere in the comment thread the beats presented. The trailer doesn’t “explain” it and by god no trailer should ever need to “explain” its premise. Not only is that lazy and not its job but it’s a sign of bad quality and if people demand that they do, it says more about media illiteracy than anything else.

A trailer isn't art. It's a marketing tool and should present the premise so people can decide if they want to watch or not. This trailer does not present the premise clearly and if someone else explained it, they must have made a lot of guesses or just pulled the synopsis off of somewhere else. From this trailer alone, the show is bonkers with no clear purpose or narrative.

We don't need to agree. The trailer seemed clear to me and the story even a bit tropey in its theme (not that that is a bad thing). As a side note, if you're not making a lot of guesses from a trailer then it's a bad trailer. The point of a trailer is not to tell you the story but to throw some pointers of what the main theme is. This trailer does a perfect job of that. You may prefer the meme trucker's voice saying "IN A WORLD…" telling everything that happens, or perhaps a trailer with the key scenes and the best jokes but that for me would make for a horrible trailer. Since plenty of people seem to understand what the gist of the story seems to be, I'll choose to believe the trailer is not that bad and just chooses to not spell the story out.

I don’t need everything to be a perfect adaption: The Batman remains one of my all time favorite films and it does some decisively un-source material stuff. The problem is, no one can say phrases like “I just didn’t enjoy it”. It has to either be “peak” or it’s “slop”. No middle ground. The show is a fine, short, comedy romp with low stakes using one of Marvels funnier, low stakes heroes. Why everyone expects She Hulk to be f****** Wandavision, I’ll never know

I feel like to a certain group of people the idea of shaking ass is the most heinous and disrespectful action one can do. Mei shook her butt in Turning Red for 2 seconds and people clutched their pearls, people twerked in the I Lied To You scene of Sinners and it’s proof black people can only submit to their base instincts, She Hulk twerks and it’s spitting on Iron Man’s grave.. it’s ridiculous. People like to move their hips when they dance and kids have always thought butts are funny so sometimes there’s butts or butt jokes in cartoons (SpongeBob, Rugrats, Ren & Stimpy, this isn’t a new thing)

the brilliance of those performances came in eps where she was playing one clone pretending to be another clone. So she not only had distinct styles for each clone but she created another character altogether that was part of each character but wholly distinct from the character she was pretending to be. its always hard to explain but Tat was acting on a whole different level in that show

Plepler's company, EDEN Productions, has made two scripted shows for AppleTV - *Blackbird* & *Franklin*. They also released a documentary on Lincoln, and *The Problem with Jon Stewart*, which Apple canned because Stewart has a lot of opinions that aren't corporation friendly. They've also got a few upcoming shows, but that's been the extent of his involvement since signing that exclusive agreement (which is now over).

HBO going from Task to Welcome to Derry to Industry to DTF: St Louis has kept me a happy subscriber. Apple TV has some great shows and (IMO) recently just put out their best one in Pluribus, but most of their shows are good, not great and lack the “must watch” factor that HBO Sundays generally provide.

Tatiana Maslany, yes. I highly recommend watching her show Orphan Black, if you haven't yet. She flawlessly played over 12 different characters interacting with each other in it. She deserves more mainstream recognition for it!
