Homan is saying ICE isn’t trained to actually screen. So how are they helping.
1595
VAisforLizards Mar 23, 2026 +755
Supposedly by "guarding the exits". https://fortune.com/2026/03/22/trump-border-czar-tom-homan-ice-agents-guard-exits-check-id-airport-screening-long-lines/
755
Forward-Pack-900 Mar 23, 2026 +707
So just abducting brown people coming and going to the airport? Thats why they are there! Not to do tsa work. For the record
707
felldestroyed Mar 23, 2026 +231
More likely: getting their CE credits in before redeploying. The fact that the Trump admin can reallocate funds to just about anything but TSA after one of the departmental largest bills ever to DHS says everything you need to know. They don't care about the American people. They only care about ICE. Keep it defunded -- and I say that as someone who has stood in multiple security lines in the last week and a half and will continue to stand in them.
231
pushaper Mar 23, 2026 +39
the good news is now 'they are good enough to do airports so they will be good enough to protect voting booths' /s
39
BigJellyfish1906 Mar 23, 2026 +77
What is this for? What a f****** clown show.
77
KingMario05 Mar 23, 2026 +87
Oh God. They're trying to keep people in, aren't they? Setting up... you know... ...more Pretti scenarios.
87
Quarantine722 Mar 23, 2026 +63
Except now they won’t need to worry about citizens using the second amendment, no one is carrying in an airport.
63
bravelittlebuttbuddy Mar 23, 2026 +12
It's actually unpatriotic to have a gun anywhere where there might be officers, didn't you hear?
12
emaw63 Mar 23, 2026 +33
I'd also be shocked to see any serious civil disobedience in the security line at the airport either. People aren't going to risk missing their flights, let alone the serious jail time that could carry
33
UWMN Mar 23, 2026 +57
Wait until someone tells an ICE thug to go f*** himself and all hell breaks loose. These guys are loose cannons just praying for someone to look at them the wrong way.
57
fork_yuu Mar 23, 2026 +79
I don't think they're actually trained for anything and act on impulses.
79
Every_Hedgehog5007 Mar 23, 2026 +17
They seem to just react to colors, shapes and sounds
17
cptnamr7 Mar 23, 2026 +25
Look, if we're going to sit here and list all the things they AREN'T trained to do, we're going to be here awhile.
25
threebillion6 Mar 23, 2026 +10
They want to get them involved so it's "normal" by the time the world cup is starting.
10
Unfair_Web_8275 Mar 23, 2026 +6
One of two things is happening (or both) - The DHS is exercising their next intimidation tactic - There is so little of those violent immigrants we were promised and ICE doesn’t have enough to do, after Trump increased their budget by billions.
6
SgtSillyWalks Mar 23, 2026 +4
I flew in recently to Fort Lauderdale. They already have ICE agents and all they do is just stand there and mean mug people, talk to the occasional traveler. I had camping equipment in a black duffle bag and I got asked in a very douchy and rude way what was in the bag, MF made me open it and take everything out just to say "oh okay I just needed to be sure" I am a very Hispanic looking fella, but yeah all they are doing is just playing bouncer at the airports, if anything they are probably making TSA jobs even harder by making people upset and riddled up with their presence, I sure was. I also knew ICE agents were the bottom of the barrel when it comes to recruitment but holy hell did those guys look like someone just walked up to them and gave em a badge and gun, the least professional law enforcement "agents" I had the displeasure of meeting.

Nachofriendguy864 Mar 23, 2026 +2907
Isn't ice also part of Homeland security? Why are they getting paid?
2907
PaloLV Mar 23, 2026 +2317
They are paid through 2029 or something ridiculous under separate legislative actions compared to what is affecting TSA.
2317
HoosierRed Mar 23, 2026 +2360
Your Republican representatives have sold you out.

Who the hell is John F Kennedy?
21
SupHowWeDo Mar 23, 2026 +67
Since the civil war, don’t let them trick you into thinking this is new. The same buisness interests that protected slavery for profit are the people protecting the profit today, and they’re the ones in the drivers seat. America needs to be pulled out by the roots.
67
richal Mar 23, 2026 +25
Yep. People REALLY need to read a People's History of the United States by Howard Zinn. Everything has gone according to the capitalist plan since before th formation of this country.
25
Momik Mar 23, 2026 +12
Not to mention speculating on stolen land. Which is incidentally how people like Washington made most of their money. Though of course he also made plenty on slavery, as did many founders.
12
Chaosmusic Mar 23, 2026 +23
Not true, they never cared from the start so nothing to sell out.
23
funkytownpants Mar 23, 2026 +169
Just long enough to cement the 2028 election by force for a year. Weee..
169
Really_McNamington Mar 23, 2026 +41
That's a bingo.
41
MotherTreacle3 Mar 23, 2026 +29
Not to mention the sign-on bonus is dependant on five years of service, which incentives ICE to ensure there is a republican w***** of said election.
29
nevarlaw Mar 23, 2026 +33
Wait, so TSA, USCG, etc. aren’t getting paid because the GOP wants more money for an already funded ICE/DHS? How many clean bills have been blocked that would have paid for those without paychecks? What a f****** joke.
33
Disastrous_Set_3148 Mar 23, 2026 +70
[Since the beginning of March Republicans have blocked 10 attempts by Democrats to fund the Department of Homeland Security (minus ICE, CBP and the DHS Secretary's office), which includes 7 attempts to specifically fund TSA.](https://www.appropriations.senate.gov/news/minority/senator-murray-responds-as-49-senate-republicans-vote-down-bill-to-pay-tsa)
70
fuzzmeisterj Mar 23, 2026 +86
TSA should be getting paid with every ticket sold, but trump has that money going tonhis pocket/US Treasury
86
tots4scott Mar 23, 2026 +15
So what funding are the Republicans trying to get right now?
15
DSmooth425 Mar 23, 2026 +31
They want additional finding I believe. Beyond the BBB. Given some of the reporting on how wasteful Noem and Lewandowski have been with taxpayer funds, DHS exceeding their budget wouldn’t be shocking
31
say592 Mar 23, 2026 +13
Normal appropriations for DHS. Congress passed the rest of the spending bill but carved that out for negotiations. Dems are refusing to move on it unless there are some reforms, some of the GOP are open to reforms but they haven't been able to agree. The shutdown is so limited the only thing it's really hurting is TSA, so it's not a strong bargaining point for anyone and there isn't enough "pain" to motivate either side. Side note, Dem demands are both very reasonable and good. They are primarily body c*** on CBP and ICE and banning administrative warrants from being used to enter homes.
13
NexusNickel Mar 23, 2026 +272
They got funded from Trump's stupid ass bill last year.
272
redyellowblue5031 Mar 23, 2026 +157
To an absurd tune. Less than 10 billion annually since the 00s. Now? 80+ billion in a single year.
157
rokerroker45 Mar 23, 2026 +57
To be clear, it's $85 billion over four years. That is also absurd but just clarifying that they didn't get $85 billion as their budget for a single year
57
Javasteam Mar 23, 2026 +22
But still more than most militaries in the world.
22
Dangerous-Rice44 Mar 23, 2026 +125
ICE and CBP specifically got extra money as part of the “One Big Beautiful Bill” last year.
125
NotThatHandsomePete Mar 23, 2026 +67
Trump's private police force gets paid before anyone.
67
redyellowblue5031 Mar 23, 2026 +16
Well you see ICE budget was never above 10billion all the way back to the 00s. Trump and republicans gave them 80+ billion last year in the one big bill. So efficient!
16
lostroadrunner22 Mar 23, 2026 +6
Seepage funding bill.

301
American_PissAnt Mar 23, 2026 +126
Which is completely within the vast powers granted to border patrol at ports of entry.
126
Desperate_Bite_7538 Mar 23, 2026 +56
Are you being sarcastic, or is that for real?
56
noodles_jd Mar 23, 2026 +158
CBP definitely has that power, TSA, I don't think so. But ICE also isn't the TSA so who TF knows what they'll try to do.
158
chevybow Mar 23, 2026 +133
TSA doesn’t give a f*** about your phone. The lines are too busy for them to worry about what Bob posts on Facebook. ICE are the sadistic ones who strive to harass and intimidate as many people as possible.
133
AaronBasedGodgers Mar 23, 2026 +35
TSA doesn't but CBP does. If TSA asks to unlock your phone you can tell them no. If CBP does it and you tell them no, well, you're going to be in for a long day.
35
tonguebutton Mar 23, 2026 +11
Yea, but isn't that only when you're entering the country?
11
cptjpk Mar 23, 2026 +23
Anywhere within 100 miles of an international border, actually. For my friends in Michigan, that’s [the entire state](https://www.aclumich.org/cases/all-michigan-warrantless-border-zone/).
23
fivetoedslothbear Mar 23, 2026 +11
CBP claims jurisdiction anywhere within 100 miles of the border zone, including the shores of the Great Lakes. [https://www.aclu.org/know-your-rights/border-zone](https://www.aclu.org/know-your-rights/border-zone) About 2/3 of Americans live within this zone. And I've passed through interior checkpoints, for instance, on a car trip from Tombstone, AZ to Tucson, AZ, that took place entirely within the US.

Then you are committing a crime, maybe. [One of the executive orders](https://www.whitehouse.gov/presidential-actions/2025/01/protecting-the-united-states-from-foreign-terrorists-and-othernational-security-and-public-safety-threats) from the coronation party authorizes BP to do whatever they want. Refusal ends with loosing the device. From BP site: *If a traveler being admitted as a U.S. citizen does not present their device in a condition that allows for examination, the U.S. citizen traveler will not be denied entry into the United States based on CBP’s inability to complete an inspection of their device. However, as noted above, their device may be subject to exclusion, detention, or other appropriate action or disposition.* For non-citizens (including permanent residents), it's your best guess what they consider the maximum punishment on any given day.
30
Javasteam Mar 23, 2026 +7
It’s a right for a person to refuse an inspection, but if they do they are no longer welcome in the facility. At that point it becomes trespassing after they have been informed they need to leave. Airports go slightly further though. By being on the premise, you are consenting to being searched. Example, if you leave your bag by behind by accident it could be searched or destroyed. That’s part of why virtually all airports have repeated warnings on signs and/or audio messages telling people to stay with their belongings and not to accept bags from strangers.
7
OutlyingPlasma Mar 23, 2026 +27
They will openly murder you like they did to a stay at home mom and Veterans Affairs nurse.
27
DingerSinger2016 Mar 23, 2026 +8
It's going to be very unfortunate because I forgot my phone's password. Shame.
8
zffjk Mar 23, 2026 +13
Make sure if your phone has a lockout mode to use it because them using your phone and doing Face ID has happened and I’m not sure it’s illegal or not.
13
Cute_Author8916 Mar 23, 2026 +28
Or turn off biometrics altogether
28
rokerroker45 Mar 23, 2026 +16
It is lawful for them to compel you to present your physical appearance to unlock the phone. It is unlawful for them to coerce you into giving up information used against you - i.e. To enter a passcode or password into a phone.
16
Lessening_Loss Mar 23, 2026 +26
Also unlawful for them to murder you in the streets
26
GrizzIyadamz Mar 23, 2026 +6
**This is why there are lines at the airports- democrats are refusing to provide funding to the DHS** (the parent of both the TSA and CBP/ICE) **without adequate accountability for that** (the murdering in the streets thing) **and republicans are refusing and making the lines as bad as possible because people are idiots and have routinely blamed democrats for the actions of republicans**. (reminder that democrats have been trying to put through bills to fund the TSA and other important departments but the GOP has been shooting them down)
6
zzztoken Mar 23, 2026 +7
Highly recommend people turn their phones completely off at the airport now. Bring a book, print your boarding pass. Also change to passcode, not Face ID.

We could probably streamline that process by everyone wearing an appropriate marker depending on their nationality / voting preference / sexual identity… would really speed up their gestapo activities.
12
ImhereBen Mar 23, 2026 +401
If there's enough ICE agents to cover TSA AND cover immigration then there's too many ICE agents.
401
mwilkens Mar 23, 2026 +85
Of course there is. Look at the ICE budget, they have so much money they don't even know what to do with it.
85
PurpleSailor Mar 23, 2026 +6
You hire the company you just started the day before to do your departments advertising that you star in of course.
6
smileysmiley123 Mar 23, 2026 +16
There aren't actually enough ICE agents. This is going to be a monumental collapse if it continues.
16
ryan_770 Mar 23, 2026 +15
The whole plan here is to have ICE replace TSA, because they want "their people" in every position of power they can find.
15
despenser412 Mar 23, 2026 +1482
ICE is immigration! ICE is police! ICE is TSA! Seems like ICE is stealing jobs from Americans like those no-good immigrants the pedophile president claimed was such a huge issue.

slobs_burgers Mar 23, 2026 +380
ICE will now be working at the DMV ICE will now be working as health inspectors ICE will now be enforcing parking violations

So loyalists getting installed in a number of government departments
87
Noblesseux Mar 23, 2026 +20
That was the objective, yes. Like part of the whole point of project 2025 is basically to give him a private army that does whatever he wants.
20
highgravityday2121 Mar 23, 2026 +48
That’s the republican plan, cut services and make the inept/dumbest people do it and then complain it doesn’t work so they can privatize it
48
Dicky_Penisburg Mar 23, 2026 +28
And make education so pathetic that the masses don't have the intellectual capacity to question it.
28
Elegant_Tech Mar 23, 2026 +7
You will allow ICE into your schools or Trump will pull all funding.
7

This is the trial run for ICE manning polling stations. They want to see how quickly they can deploy people with as little notice as possible and how the public responds to bullying without reason. Adjustments will be made in time for November.

[Official statement](https://www.atlantaga.gov/Home/Components/News/News/15682/1338): >**Mayor Andre Dickens Issues Statement on Federal Presence at Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport** >**ATLANTA** — Mayor Andre Dickens issued the following statement regarding a planned federal presence at Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport: >“We have been informed that federal personnel from Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) and U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement’s Enforcement and Removal Operations (ICE-ERO) will be deployed to Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport beginning tomorrow morning. >“According to federal officials, these personnel will be assigned to support operational needs directed by the Transportation Security Administration (TSA), including line management and crowd control within the domestic terminals. Federal officials have indicated that this deployment is not intended to conduct immigration enforcement activities. >"All federal personnel will report directly to TSA for the duration of this assignment. There are no requests for support from the Atlanta Police Department, and no anticipated impact on City operations at this time. >“Our Administration will continue to monitor the situation closely and remain in communication with the public and travelers as these federal actions develop. >“Atlanta remains committed to ensuring that residents and travelers feel safe, informed, and supported as they move through the world’s busiest and most efficient airport. >“Our Administration remains hopeful the Federal Government can soon find a way to fully fund TSA and pay their employees to resume standard operations at Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport—and all airports we connect to. >“To help ease the burden on TSA officers who continue to serve travelers despite not receiving pay, the City and ATL have implemented support measures which [can be found here.](https://www.atlantaga.gov/Home/Components/News/News/15678/672) >“Members of the public and media are encouraged to direct specific operational questions to the Transportation Security Administration.”
133
MentalSky_ Mar 23, 2026 +98
So….. how does having them there with no actual training on the logistics of the airport actually help?
98
catsgr8rthanspoonies Mar 23, 2026 +26
They are bodies and (supposedly) trained LEOs. It wouldn't take that much training to put them in charge of directing people to lines, to take of their shoes, remove liquids and electronics for screening, ect.
26
herrcollin Mar 23, 2026 +54
Man, if only they paid the TSA workers who do exactly that instead. I'm sure they'll appreciate armed morons doing it with them, morons who ARE getting paid by the same government claiming they can't.. pay.. the TSA.....
54
Javasteam Mar 23, 2026 +17
Nah. They’re paid significantly more than TSA workers, and not trained in things like de escalation…
17
Dick_snatcher Mar 23, 2026 +59
I give it 48 hours until someone is killed
59
bencherry Mar 23, 2026 +10
Yeah the “good faith” case is fine here. There’s plenty they can help with while reserving the actual TSA personnel for more specialized jobs like running the x ray machines. Although the chances this is a good faith effort to improve airport efficiency during the funding lapse is close to 0.
10
Infinite_Treacle Mar 23, 2026 +47
ICE aside— TSA AGENTS HAD TO PAY FOR PARKING AT THEIR JOB??? Jesus Christ.
47
SJSragequit Mar 23, 2026 +13

Untrained anonymous violent thugs handling airport security. What could go wrong.
45

Three weeks. I give it three weeks before one of these untrained, racist, hyper-aggressive assholes shoots someone during screening.
651
PiceaSignum Mar 23, 2026 +234
Took less than that in Minnesota if I remember right. And no one has been arrested or charge for those murders.
234
FlameHaze Mar 23, 2026 +45
You're correct. They were put into witness protection and are being safe guarded, however they did fire Bovino and Noem had her deposition and subsequent removal or is that still in the works. I don't remember. What I do know is, they got worried. But being worried isn't near enough. Nazi's are now at our airports.
45
Javasteam Mar 23, 2026 +41
They didn’t “fire” Bovino. He was relocated back to his own job and decided to take early retirement. Even Noem was given an entirely new made up position.
41
FlameHaze Mar 23, 2026 +3
Justice has been served... oh shit... no it hasn't. Thanks. I like to be in the know but even as a staunch hater of all this wondrous bullshit, it's difficult to keep up with it all. And mentally taxing. Steve Bannon's "Flood the zone" is an effective tactic.
3
ABigPairOfCrocs Mar 23, 2026 +69
Either they shoot someone or they miss an actual, deadly security threat because they're distracted harassing a brown family
69
Sofer2113 Mar 23, 2026 +76
Don't leave out the potential to sexually assault someone. I bet a lot of young women and girls are about to be very suspicious and need enhanced screening performed only by an ICE goon. I give that one 2 days before we hear the first story.
76
ABigPairOfCrocs Mar 23, 2026 +16
Yeah i expect that to happen daily unfortunately
16
Sparticus2 Mar 23, 2026 +17
TSA itself has never prevented an attack. They fail every test. So many weapons and devices get through when they are tested.

DouchecraftCarrier Mar 23, 2026 +5
The interesting part about this is that anyone who has worked at a major airport will tell you they are *bananas* about security. I used to work on the ramp at IAD. We were very specifically instructed to challenge anyone we saw in a secure area without a visible badge. And they would test us - wasn't uncommon at all for them to send undercover people out onto the ramp with no badge to see who would stop them. And god forbid you interacted with one of them and didn't notice they had no badge. One of our guys got some kind of commendation for chasing someone up a jetbridge because was out on the ramp with no badge. All that to say I will be very curious to see how the airports handle it if ICE shows up and demands to be able to just have free reign with masks on rifles slung over their shoulders. And I hope every airport employee who lives in vigilance for fear of their job (in my experience the majority of which were immigrants) absolutely raises holy hell about the security risk they now feel obligated to point out because they can't tell who is ICE and who is testing them.
5
AssistantPringle Mar 23, 2026 +177
this feels like one of those things that’s gonna stress a lot of people out 😭 airports are already chaotic and now adding ICE into the mix just makes it more tense for anyone traveling… especially if you already feel like you’re being watched or at risk 💀
177
VioletGardens-left Mar 23, 2026 +110
I'd argue that would straight up discourage anyone from even doing a lay over in America.

They won't until it hurts their bottom line. I imagine if you don't have recheck at this point, you're better off not trying to fly right now.

The pepper spray will calm everyone down.

Soupeeee Mar 23, 2026 +9
Watch someone get arrested for trying to fly out of the country because their visa is expired. I wonder how many people are in the ICE concentration camps who would have left already if they were allowed to follow their plans before their arrest.

blorbu Mar 23, 2026 +4
Airports are the only reason I don't travel more. And that's with TSA, if ICE takes over our airports I'd be scared to ever leave the country. Terrifies me to think where this will lead.

adham06 Mar 23, 2026 +74
Trump- I’m offended that you are offended that untrained people are offending society at large so I will offend you harder to give me money to offend you more. How is this real life?

trailsman Mar 23, 2026 +11
Nothing seems real since this 🤡 has been president because he's so stupid nothing makes sense.
11
15woodse Mar 23, 2026 +22
Let’s pretend that this is in any way a well thought out idea. Do you think the TSA people will be happy that these guys are getting paid when they’re not?
22
digi-artifex Mar 23, 2026 +21
So they're actually getting paid to Stand around while actual TSA employees still need to do their jobs, unpaid? Rock bottom, America.
21
xdrezx Mar 23, 2026 +40
Get used to it USSA. First airports, then schools, libraries, private businesses, then door to door. Classic example of fascism.

livefromheaven Mar 23, 2026 +5
In Minnesota we're speedrunning all of the above

Random_Person_246810 Mar 23, 2026 +142
Will they actually check IDs or just straight up profile everyone?

aquagardener Mar 23, 2026 +336
Flying out of ATL later this week, and am Latino and Gay AF. Will report back.  Edit: If I survive Edit post-travel: Made it through. TSA PreCheck was about an hour. ICE checked my ID before entering the security area like TSA normally would. I spoke to and acknowledged none of them.

In absolutely sincerity, I hope it goes ok for you. You’ve got a lot stacked against you right now and it has to be legitimately scary.
14
aquagardener Mar 23, 2026 +13
Thank you. I'd say I'm slightly more privileged than most people in my same demographic.  But I know I'm somewhere on the chopping block in the current political climate. I'll continue to fight the good fight for the people that are less fortunate, until my time comes.

Bless you, brother. 🙏

guttanzer Mar 23, 2026 +13
They aren’t trained or sanctioned to screen people. They’re just going to do what the National Guard has been doing in DC since last summer - parade up and down the tourist areas in combat gear with loaded weapons looking stupid.
13
WanderingKing Mar 23, 2026 +22
Oh I straight up expect them to kill the remainder of tourism America gets
22
MrMichaelJames Mar 23, 2026 +15
Nah they will skip the checks and move right on to pepper spray and shooting.
15
Ditka85 Mar 23, 2026 +36
This isn't going to go well. I don't know how, when or why, but this stinks of another action that is covering up something much more devious.

TheUnderCrab Mar 23, 2026 +49
Trial run for ICE a polling stations.
49
Srnkanator Mar 23, 2026 +16
It's late Sunday night after the rush of spring break and travel and TSA short fall. Yeah, deploy ICE to do what? Find someone who is mad because they missed a flight at a bar? Get fucked ICE. How about you give your overtime to the TSA that have been working for no pay.
16
GardenPeep Mar 23, 2026 +101
Airports are already set up for “line management and crowd control” — they always have been.
101
Cataphract1014 Mar 23, 2026 +28
ICE definitely isn't the answer, but I was in ATL airport this evening. It was a f****** disaster trying to get any where in the check in/bag claim area. They really weren't set up for the scale of control they needed.
28
Ok_Season_3917 Mar 23, 2026 +22
But this is after two months of many employees not being paid lmao
22
Cataphract1014 Mar 23, 2026 +8
It must have reached a breaking point because I’ve been flying through Atlanta like 7 times since January and it hasn’t been this bad. I finally caved and got clear because tsa precheck was closed at BWI.

Grittykitty666 Mar 23, 2026 +45
Karen vs ICE. Ive been waiting for this.
45
lnc_5103 Mar 23, 2026 +26
Coming soon: ICE murder in the pre-check line.
26
FreeToasterBaths Mar 23, 2026 +12
Are the TSA agents salty about ice agents being present?
12
macphile Mar 23, 2026 +9
Remember, though: *Harris would have been worse*. Right? Thankfully, Trump's made everything great again by driving thousands into unemployment, making it hard/impossible for many to afford food or basic healthcare, installing government police everywhere to shoot people or send them to concentration camps, starting an endless war, raping children, and making it hard/impossible for millions of citizens to even vote. Yay!
9
MrMichaelJames Mar 23, 2026 +47
So what qualifications to these thugs have to be able to do airport screening and security? If it’s just security there are already airport police.
47
hadinger Mar 23, 2026 +30
Zero. Something absolutely horrible is bound to happen.
30
sector9love Mar 23, 2026 +9
Do we really think ice is going to be “assisting”? My guess is they will be slowing things down for anyone who is not white… am I wrong?
9
That_Communication71 Mar 23, 2026 +8
How do you allow a bomb through so you can blow up a flight of people and blame it on another country? Get rid of actual real and trained security and replace it with hired thugs.
8
Chicory-Coffee Mar 23, 2026 +8
This might actually be helpful if it convinces the Americans who don't want to think about politics that they needed to participate in democracy in order to KEEP it. I actually get it somewhat, having grown up with a George Carlin view of politics. Still, I have always voted and now I'm becoming active in protesting (hadn't done this since college days) as an act of self preservation.  So let reality hit the masses when they start to personally feel the punishment from their government that they were intending for minorities when they voted republican. Opression was always going to make its way to them eventually, sooner the better while we still have state elections planned. And I hope this backfires like hell on trump. If Americans could be bothered to do something now, before their favorite putin c*** sucking fascist in chief blows up the middle east infrastructure and we truly pass the point of no return, that'd be great. Bring on the ICE at the airports, may it have a silver lining.
8
xXGray_WolfXx Mar 23, 2026 +7
So we have $200 billion for a war that is completely pointless, but we have no money for the actual citizens of this country and only to incite fear in them by sending ice agents.
7
NativePlantEnjoyer Mar 23, 2026 +5
They're not even paying the TSA or air traffic controllers
5
Designer-Contract852 Mar 23, 2026 +7
All those Maha moms that think they are the center of the universe and are always flying somewhere to go on vaca are going to be pretty put out when ICE goons wearing masks rough up them or their kids for not listening or moving fast enough.  They aren't helping tsa with security or filling in for them to speed things up,  it's still going to be a 5 hour wait, they are just doing crowd control.  So if Karen Maha is testy and cuts in front of a white male, they'll be there to do something to her. Or if an American traveler shows up brown or with an accent,  they'll disappear them. Oh and it's nearly or is spring break for most of the US so that'll be fun for all the young people flying.
7
msr42day Mar 23, 2026 +12
They are there for crowd control, right? They don't know anything about TSA procedure or airport security. This is Federal government over-reach because protocol is for airport security to provide crowd control , and they call local police and sheriffs if more is needed because airports are community-owned, not federal property. The worst possible support to TSA ever. Plus, they are paid by Homeland Security too, so why not just do an inter-department money move? Ah, pres47/admin47 is trying to intimidate the US population and Congress, that's why.
12
IchMochteAllesHaben Mar 23, 2026 +8
Masked people playing police in a place that must be highly secured... that's a good idea /s
8
NitWhittler Mar 23, 2026 +7
Are Trump's ICE thugs allowed to wear masks and refuse to show ID at the airport?
7
Adorable_Road2682 Mar 23, 2026 +7
Will ICE still be wearing masks inside the airport. I’m sure they will end up good
7
Stinkstinkerton Mar 23, 2026 +5
Thanks again to all you moron idiots assholes that think Fox News is actual news and not just rage baiting entertainment for stupid people, you got us here.

Republicans are apparently now all for the oppressive central government they spent decades jerking off to since Goldwater.
15
Own_Cantaloupe9011 Mar 23, 2026 +26
Oh, for fucks sake, I have to fly through there this week.
26
90403scompany Mar 23, 2026 +13
As long as your'e flying *through* ATL you should be okay (assuming your departure airport isn't also affected by this). You don't need to go through TSA on a connecting flight unless you're on an international flight inbound from an airport that doesn't have preclearance.
13
Own_Cantaloupe9011 Mar 23, 2026 +21
Oh I know but I don’t want to get arrested for seeing one and telling it to go fk itself.
21
southendgirl Mar 23, 2026 +10
What could possibly go wrong?
10
Gotrek_Gurnisson Mar 23, 2026 +6
Gestapo thugs in the airports now? No more flights for me then.

Yes, please go to Georgia and all the other swing states.

This is gonna backfire so hilariously.
12
ISwearNotANarc Mar 23, 2026 +11
I don’t think it will be hilarious, it’s for sure going to backfire but we’re going to have an ICE agent shoot someone in the ajrport and then deploy ICE to agents to the city because of “riots”
11
sicilian504 Mar 23, 2026 +4
Yeah buddy. Directly pissing off even more of the public with this BS before midterms 🤌🏻 chef's kiss
4
DontTrustBenny Mar 23, 2026 +5
PSA: those facial scanners TSA use are completely optional. They insinuate it’s mandatory but if you read the sign closely it’s optional. I have made it a point to deny facial scanning every time I fly. It’s your right and probably more important now.
5
Khazahk Mar 23, 2026 +4
Greyhound busses are about to have the fiscal quarter of all time.
4
CrossX18 Mar 23, 2026 +5
I wonder how TSA agents will feel about people being sent in that are getting paid to do the job they are not getting paid to do. That won’t cause any issues at all.

Things that are going to end poorly for $800

You understand this is Marshall law…. American airports are being run by the secret police during war time.
43
crinkledcu91 Mar 23, 2026 +22
Psst: If you're gonna try and look intellectual on a topic, you should probably know how to spell it: it's Martial, not Marshall lol
22
imightbehitler Mar 23, 2026 +17
I really hope these glorified mall cops end up serving food at subway and stocking vending machines instead of trying to pretend the locals in Atlanta are gonna listen to them
17
Effective-Space6171 Mar 23, 2026 +18
Will they wear masks while they work? Cause if they don’t, we win!
18
mrflarp Mar 23, 2026 +3
Are they going to perform the TSA functions with the same degree of competence and professionalism that they've demonstrated over the past year in every other area where they've been deployed?
