I don’t think someone who lacks empathy should comment on empathy.

A morning tv show host has an emotional overreaction? Water is still wet?  Has she never seen any footage of Hoda? Of course she would react this way when a friend of hers has to deal with this. She gets emotional about a ton of things.

Yeah, what was distracting, however, was their failure to keep Hoda’s mic down. Her emotive mmms and sighs were distracting and seemed to make it all about her. I used to like Hoda once upon a time.

Yea unfortunately as much as I love love Hoda, I hate to say I agree with most of what Megan said (which pains me). Why no journalistic follow up questions, like, what do you mean by propped open? I agree Hoda unfortunately was very distracting. Her facial expressions kept really bothering me, she was smiling this weird awkward smile most of the time and it just felt so out of place. Like she was trying to keep her "tv face" on, if that makes sense. I mean, sure, when Savannah was telling Hoda about her mom and the good times, it makes sense to be smiling... But she's sitting there smiling back at Savannah crying telling her she feels responsible for her mother's kidnapping. I wish Hoda had reassured her in that moment just as a friend that hey, this isn't your fault. It felt gut wrenching to see her sit there and say that, sobbing, while Hoda just kinda awkwardly smiled at her. Idk, personally I don't really think Megan needed to give this commentary period, BUT since she did, unfortunately I agree even though I absolutely HATE Megan and love Hoda. I think one of the guys may have handled this interview better or the cohost who Hoda said was closest to Savannah? Why wouldn't they have her do it? Maybe Savannah asked for Hoda?🤷

I saw the interview on TV, or part of it, and Honda’s odd noises bugged me. But today I heard more of it on a pod, and just listening…yikes! It sounds very much more distracting. Meanwhile, DM has an article about infighting behind that interview over at Today, but it’s behind a paywall. Who knows.. This is all so heartbreaking.

Did she feel the same way about Erika Kirk?

They think their misogynoir is humorous and we're all just missing their "joke".

You have to know there’s something fundamentally broken with your brain right? I would honestly just do it already if I were you

Seriously, the last time I saw “lighten up Francis“ was 2008.

You find Hoda manly? Seriously? She might not have stereotypical American looks, but that’s because her parents were not Americans. Oh, wait. Hmm, I think I get it now. Oh, and the early aughts called…they want their lingo back.
