Megyn Kelly: "Trump could drop a nuke and I'd still vote Republican"

Threads from 1984 too, it's a movie made by the BBC and with a high level of accuracy as to what would happen after a nuclear attack... spoiler alert, its horrific, and if anyone could be in support of such actions after watching, they're a psychopath.

I think it was… an anime called Barefoot Gen(?) which showed the bombing, immediate reaction, and the after effects. It is horrifying and graphic, you see people vaporize, burning houses collapsing trapping half a family inside, people being abandoned, I mean just so much f****** horror. I think every high school senior should be forced to watch this. No one should be under any illusions that nuclear weapons are no f****** joke, and they’re 100x more powerful now.

Tsar bomba sent radiation around the globe and a shockwave many times over, detected by seismographs all over the world. That shit is no joke.  All of the people cheering on a nuclear attack, forgets about mutually assured destruction. Violence begets more violence. 

One of my professors in college showed Barefoot Gen in class - that was effective, to say the least.

It isn’t even what happens to people. It would be all the other nukes that go flying afterwards that is more of a concern.

Made a post on fb about this: history going to be putting Trump and Truman on the same pages of the history books, and the ratio of US soldiers spared VS civilians killed ratios is going to be monstrously better for Truman, whether you support what Truman did or not, I don't envy his position in the slightest, but the arithmetic is at least compelling. Here, we could have had 0 US casualties and 0 Iranian civilian deaths. Iran: US: gotta nuke you for existing because you don't have the means to protect yourself. Sorry bout it, praise Allah.

This and plain, pure ignorance. They haven't even updated their idea of what a nuclear weapon is from an entirely outdated generation of the weapons - the ones we have now have not been used on civilians before, and they're much stronger, so even the horrors of the past probably don't fully suggest what the effects of these bombs would be.

The last time it was done there weren't 8 other countries with them, 3 of them being direct enemies to the US and the US' allies regretting being their ally more and more each day. If a nuke gets dropped on Iran its basically open season for China to take Taiwan, Russia to use nukes in EU, North Korea to hit South Korea, Japan, or US islands, then whatever it is Pakistan and India want to do to each other in the background while the UK and France need to figure out their plan.

They also think because it's on the other side of the world that it will have no effect on them. There will be so much fallout, nuclear and otherwise, from it they don't even realize it.

It could also mean “I will continue to make millions of dollars if I keep saying things like this”

The best part is he absolutely hates her and has mad fun of her tons of times, but she still grovels at the feet of the mad king.

It means he’s probably going to drop a nuke on Iran. Did you read about his message this morning about wiping out a civilization?

Best case scenario, we would be instant global pariahs on par with North Korea and there would be a worldwide depression as gathering country liquidates their US assets. Worst case scenario, a second nuke gets dropped. These people would rather rule over ashes than participate in a functional democracy.

The fact that 1 out of 3 people have been programmed to believe this through decades of intentional media is why we’re doomed to stay in this loop. Days of political compromise and shared objectives are beyond dead. You’re considered a traitor to the cause if you acknowledge the other side has even a shred of credibility.

She basically said Trump could r*** her daughter and she would be okay with it.

This is the modern GOP. Even the people who aren’t full Trumpers I constantly hear “yeah he’s bad, but just imagine how much worse it would be if the Dems won”. Once you have this line of thinking drilled into their brains, there is nothing you can’t do to them.

She’s a typical Republican, and we must acknowledge this when the Gavin-types try to appeal to these people. Hillary was right; this basket of deplorables will never vote Democrat.

She had a brief “liberal” moment back in 2015 after Trump made a crass joke about her being on her period. She even cut her hair to get a Hillary Clinton bob and released a memoir titled “Settle For More.” Now she’s settling for nuclear warfare to keep her career as a right-wing pundit. How sad.

What can you expect from someone who can’t even spell her own name correctly?

They have had many moments where they disagree with something he says or does, sometimes even express disgust about it. But just like Megyn Kelly, no matter what they always fall back in line. And I think people need to remember that every time some bullshit feel good article gets posted about Trumpgret. It isn't a real thing, these folks are not going to change.

The most riled up I’ve seen them get is when he made comments about rob Reiner after he was killed. Thats how far removed they are from actual politics and big events
