It's common for Amazon and other streaming to have movies come on automatically after one movie ends. Someone leaves the TV on for their pets while they are out so Melania gets some views even if they aren't from humans.

bit of a mind blown moment for me. how many of these metrics are complete bs for this very reason? Who hasn't fallen asleep watching an 80s comedy and woke up 8 hours later to an episode of Unsolved Mysteries? Taking into account all streaming traffic, it's happening constantly, everywhere.

It was up next after I half payed attention to a good but repetitive documentary about The Villages while doing my taxes. I had to finalize and when my attention came back it was 10-15 minutes into Melania and I became a viewer even though I turned it off.
Didn’t realize I had autoplay enabled since I always shut it off after I watched a movie or episode.

I never listen to much 'OMG so bad' cause, as a non American, I consider the politics involved
But, damn it was shit
Opening 7 or 8 minutes is a procession of cars and she gets out as camera pans from legs upwards
She selects a dress
This is boring as hell. Get into the upbringing and early life and meeting Trump and so on
This just isn't that at all. I don't even know what it's supposed to be or who it's for. Feels like they shot a nice home video for her to watch on a rainy night

I just watched it out of curiosity. This documentary is what she wants people to believe about her, rich and important, with a lifestyle that has the best of everything, and every moment is a glam fashion shoot.
She said she travels "between NYC, WA DC, and Mar-A-Lago", and it takes 4-6 blacked out SUVs and a private jet to take her anywhere. It just looks like a shallow, vapid, greedy lifestyle.
Several minutes were spent on her attendance at President Carter's funeral, which was on the same day her mother had died the previous year. That's all she talked about, her mother, and not a word about the former president. Then she was filmed at an empty St Patrick's Cathedral, with the Catholic priests fawning all over her, walking down the aisle of the empty church to remember her mother. This was over the top.
Interestingly, I saw her female Secret Service Agent in a short elevator scene at 14:35, and I wonder if she is the fake Melania that we often see? With a wig, sunglasses and heels, she easily could be.
I do think she is gorgeous, dresses well, and the photography and soundtrack were both enjoyable. But this documentary does not do a single thing to make me respect or like her, it does the opposite. In hindsight it will not reflect well in the Trumps when their era is over, hopefully soon.

**Yes, the 2026 documentary** ***Melania*** **(full title often given as** ***Melania: Twenty Days to History*****) is widely considered a box office flop.**
It was a Brett Ratner-directed film chronicling Melania Trump's life in the roughly 20 days leading up to Donald Trump's second inauguration in January 2025. Amazon MGM Studios acquired the rights for about **$40 million** and spent another **\~$35 million** on marketing, for a total cost in the **$75 million** range.
# Box Office Performance
* **Domestic (US & Canada)**: \~$16.3–16.4 million
* **International**: Very low, around $0.2–0.3 million (e.g., poor showings in the UK; pulled from theaters in South Africa before release)
* **Worldwide total**: \~$16.5–16.7 million

Same amount as it did in theaters even though they astroturfed the rotten tomatoes reviews it's honestly shocking to me that they've put zero effort into moderating the obvious bot accounts off too.
In varying forms of media I've seen the critics and the consumer reviews differ wildly once in a while but you can't sit there and tell me the "viewers" on there aren't bots, and continuing to allow Melania's fake reviews diminishes the reputation for a review site that they are if you ask me.
