The women who play Caroline Kennedy in Love Story, Marian Brook in The Gilded Age, and Carrie Sinclair in We Were Liars are different people..... I literally watched all three shows thinking they were the same person especially Caroline and Carrie....
I only found out today that they were different people. I literally thought Wikipedia got it wrong when they didn't list The Gilded Age under Grace Gummer's filmography. I literally didn't even know Meryl Streep had daughters let alone three that are all good actresses (which makes sense of course). Just needed to mention this somewhere because I don't know anyone else who has watched all three shows.
Put some respect on agent Dom Shipero from Mr.robot

She also plays a funny role in the good wife as a manipulative lawyer. I enjoyed her guest spot. She’s talented

I’m sorry there’s no way you thought Louisa was the other 2.

I don't think Louisa Jacobson looks all that much like Mamie Gummer, apart from just a passing familial resemblance, but I could maybe see Grace Gummer getting confused for either of them because she kind of looks like both.

They all look exactly like their mother, but in different ways. It’s quite remarkable.

Mamie has her Dad's eyes though, I reckon.

I fell in love with Mamie Gummer's work from The Good Wife. Spectacular character.

The Gilded Age drove me nuts because Marian looked so familiar but IMDb very clearly told me that I hadn’t seen her in anything else. When I found out who her mother was the pieces fell into place because of the resemblance to her sister in Mr. Robot

Off the Map with Mamie should've gone for more than half a season.

For a long time, I thought Jennifer Ehle was Meryl Streep's daughter. She looks so much like her.

I remember seeing Grace Gummer in something thinking she reminded me of Streep
I often look up a film or TV show after I watch to see what other stuff people are in or 'I'm sure I saw that person in something else'
That was when I realised Streep had daughters

I legitimately miss Emily Owens lol. My friend and I used to joke "Imagine getting Meryl Streep on a CW show to play Emily's mother".

Ten years ago, we sat up and paid attention to Grace Gummer in Extant. Good premise but a lack of chemistry between the leads and a faltering plot sank the show. Gummer rose well-above the script with real humanity.

I had no idea Louisa Jacobson is Meryl Streep's daughter! But I can see the likeness.
And I also didn't know Mamie Gummer from The Good Wife is too.

Nothing distinctive about their acting. Grade C+

Props to them not relying on nepotism to succeed. (Not that industry players wouldn’t know who they were…) And props to Meryl Streep finding time between her work to have them and raise them into such fine actors.

>(Not that industry players wouldn’t know who they were…)
Which by default negates any claim their success isn't tied even in part to nepotism. They might not carry their mother's name, but they have her contacts. And zero chance they get the agents (and their connections) they have if they were a true no-name up and comer trying to find success in Hollywood.
Still gotta actually be good at the job, which they are, but being Streep's daughters absolutely opened doors and granted opportunites to show they have the talent. Opportunities equally talented people might never get before they cut their losses and quit acting to find a better paying job.

I had a similar moment with them, honestly, they have that same kind of subtle, understated acting style that makes them blend in your head if you watch the shows close together. It’s kind of cool, though, once you realize it, like you start noticing the small differences in how they carry scenes. Makes rewatches more interesting.

What I find impressive is that they are in their 30s, early 40s, and most like me are really just figuring out that they are all working actresses having some success. They have great educations and have all done theater work (a medium where I feel like fame gets stripped away - or being someone's child won't get you as far). They could have absolutely used "Streep" as their last name or played up on the fact that their mother is one of the greatest living actresses.

I’m sorry, you think people aren’t aware who they are related to? Casting directors are
