This game has been attempted so many times with different directors. It’s an excellent story to tell but definitely has to be done right.

I don’t know too much about the games, but it seems like the type of adaptation that would demand a really talented director to make it worthwhile, along with very strong writing

Hideo Kojima only made MGS solid games, so that one day he could himself direct the movies, also starring himself.

All I know is if I they don't get Kojima involved in all the process it will fail. This game is so iconic and memorable that IMHO is best left unadapted to cinema.

Didn’t some of the MGS games have entire CUTSCENES that were hours long? Think one may even hold the record for length.  Not sure how you squish that into 150 minutes.

This movie will flop if these guys direct it. The only feature length movie they’ve made is Final Destination Bloodlines which is the definition of slop As much as I hate to say it after their greed ruined GoT I think D&D are two of the only Hollywood directors equipped to properly adapt MGS to the big screen.

I was sorta on board when the MGS movie had Oscar Isaac attached to play Snake. But that was 6 years ago.

I feel like the Russo brothers stand out as one option for good adaptations of these kinds of movies.
