The answer is they are being murdered by ICE, without consequences. You, the reader, may feel about that in different ways.. but that is the answer to what is happening.

He supposedly had diabetes, high cholesterol and blood pressure on top of being arrested on controlled substances charges so could throw drugs into the mix too
1
Smart_Somewhere_7958 Apr 1, 2026 +1
And as part of their job they are to maintain that prisoners health. Because they took away his ability to deal with his health problems himself.

Sielbear Apr 1, 2026 +1
If only there was a way this wouldn’t have happened… how could this have been prevented… Let’s unpack the chain of events. 1) individual decided to circumvent legal migration processes. 2) person was a thief and was convicted of said theft. 3) person was using and possessed controlled (illegal) substances. Looking at the evidence, I see 3 opportunities to intervene and prevent the unfortunate situation of being placed into ICE custody. But you’re on to something. Taller fences. Maybe even landmines? Sounds extreme, but you’re on to something here. I feel certain there are ways to ensure this never happens again.

Every single character you typed is irrelevant once that prisoner is in your ***care*** It doesn't matter if they stole a penny out of the take a penny jar or they murdered 13 children. Their care is their duty.
1
TrueSithMastermind Apr 1, 2026 +1
According to whom? That is the relevant question.
1
aquabarron Apr 1, 2026 +1
lol, no it’s not. What in the world. I haven’t been following this very closely but I can adamantly state that a law enforcement agency isn’t intentionally killing detainees
1
Fast-Satisfaction482 Apr 1, 2026 +1
You have no idea what's going on but claim to know for sure what their intentions are?
1
Highmassive Apr 1, 2026 +1
It’s the same exact baseless energy they are replying to, so why not?
1
PrimalZed Apr 1, 2026 +1
When medical treatment for known existing conditions is withheld, and we get things like ICE smashing a guy's skull and saying he did it to himself, then yeah we can speak to the intent of their inhumane treatment. Reminder that a lot of deaths in the holocaust occurred through disease in the camps. The cruelty is the point. https://www.startribune.com/how-ice-detainment-harmed-immigrants-with-chronic-health-problems/601588583 https://www.theguardian.com/us-news/2026/feb/18/fbi-minnesota-police-investigate-ice-arrest
1
DevonLuck24 Apr 1, 2026 +1
but ice has been murdering people…without consequences. we know that because we’ve seen it with our eyes. to claim that no law enforcement is murdering detainees is not the same as claiming that ice is doing the same thing behind closed doors that we’ve seen them do in broad daylight..on camera. so, that’s why not..but i’m guess you already knew the why and don’t actually care.
1
Highmassive Apr 1, 2026 +1
No, claiming ice is definitely killing detainees or that ice definitely isn’t killing detainees has the same exact ‘trust me bro’ energy
1
DevonLuck24 Apr 1, 2026 +1
if you say so..
1
interesseret Apr 1, 2026 +1
>I haven’t been following this very closely Son, they have been *killing people in broad daylight in the streets*

Listnook is a lost cause - don’t engage with the echo chamber
1
PlushHammerPony Apr 1, 2026 +1
Saying that while writing on Listnook… sure, sure, my little "free thinker"
1
k3y4n0w Apr 1, 2026 +1
Negligence usually isnt intentional.
1
Newtimelinepls Apr 1, 2026 +1
You have no clue about it but can confidently state it's not what was said. I wish I was so confident in my stupidity as well.
1
LwyrUpAmrca Apr 1, 2026 +1
Seriously? The US has death squads now? You’re going to go with that?
1
Newtimelinepls Apr 1, 2026 +1
How does that boot taste?
1
ToasterBath4613 Apr 1, 2026 +1
Señor skip day.
1
SloshedJapan Apr 1, 2026 +1
If Mexico actually cared, they would have prevented them coming here to begin with
1
PlushHammerPony Apr 1, 2026 +1
Yeah, sure - murder isn’t the killers’ fault, it’s Mexico's fault for not building an iron curtain. /s
1
Bad_Day_Moose Apr 1, 2026 +1
so it's okay to murder them if they go to the US?
1
OG_Williker Apr 1, 2026 +1
Nobody said that
1
Just_here_4_mma Apr 1, 2026 -50
We should demand Mexico do a better job of not allowing rampant illegal immigration into the US.

sparrowtaco Apr 1, 2026 +37
I'd rather demand that the ICE agents stop torturing and murdering people.

malcolmbishop Apr 1, 2026 +1
Porque no los dos?
1
Beginning-Damage-555 Apr 1, 2026 +1
I live in the US and don’t live in Mexico. The Mexican government hates the US government 🤷‍♀️
1
PrimalZed Apr 1, 2026 +1
One is a real, immediate, and pressing problem. The other isn't any kind of problem at all.

I'd rather they keep deporting those who break the law and come here illegally. To each his own.
1
PlushHammerPony Apr 1, 2026 +1
Except deporting someone doesn’t actually require torturing or killing them 'To each his own' - sure, if you think the opinion of an unempathetic psychopath is as valid as anyone else’s.
1
AspenSki1988 Apr 1, 2026 +1
Sometimes people die it is what it is
1
florodude Apr 1, 2026 +1
What if it were you or your family? Do you have ZERO empathy or are you just a bot?
1
PlushHammerPony Apr 1, 2026 +1
Yeah, especially when someone murders them...
1
External-Praline-451 Apr 1, 2026 +1
I used to wonder how people let the Holocaust happen, not anymore...
1
Wonderful_Beard552 Apr 1, 2026 +1
So, you'd prefer to be complicit in torture/murder because what? They make up 4% of arrested individuals. I am genuinely curious.
1
AspenSki1988 Apr 1, 2026 +1
One percent would be too much
1
PlushHammerPony Apr 1, 2026 +1
"I'm okay with killing and torturing 4% of detainees. That's just how I am. Agree to disagree." Dude, this isn’t a discussion about who prefers what for breakfast. You sound like a complete psychopath.
1
o_MrBombastic_o Apr 1, 2026 +1
Aren't you a failed human being. Being in the country illegally is a misdemeanor and good and decent people don't torture and kill people over misdemeanors so what the f*** is wrong with you? Seriously your beliefs aren't just unamerican but they don't belong in any civilized society. You're the type of person we should be deporting. When the world thinks of the trash destroying America they're not picturing illegal immigrants they're picturing people like you.
1
sparrowtaco Apr 1, 2026 +1
Strange, I said nothing about ending deportation. I guess some people just cannot admit to basic human decencies like "let's not torture and kill each other" without deflecting to some propaganda they've been programmed with.
1
LloydChrismukkah Apr 1, 2026 +1
Yeah, but you're a human, not a country seeking opportunistic PR
1
florodude Apr 1, 2026
YEAH! F*** those mothers! F*** those mothers who just want to give their kids a chance at a better life! They deserve to DIE IN AN ICE PRISON! \-You, probably

Immigration from Mexico had been historically down since it peaked in 2007, mainly due to Mexico’s own economy steadily increasing. That was nearly 20 years ago. There is no rampant immigration problem, it’s entirely made up and you’re soaking it up.
1
pi0t3r Apr 1, 2026 +1
There was a definite increase post Covid during the humanitarian parole window— cartel activity ramped up heavily during the pandemic, destabilizing a lot of once calm states like Chiapas.
1
morbie5 Apr 1, 2026 +1
They come via Mexico from Central America so to say 'There is no rampant immigration problem, it’s entirely made up and you’re soaking it up' is 100% false
1
Sea_Count2020 Apr 1, 2026
That's not very MMA

Glitch2082 Apr 1, 2026 +1
Maybe the US shouldn’t have been dressed so provocatively.
1
AspenSki1988 Apr 1, 2026 +1
Right? Why don't they care more about these people before they flee illegally to America and die?
1
PlushHammerPony Apr 1, 2026 +1
They didn’t just “die.” They didn’t pass away from the flu. They were murdered. You're not defending deportation. Because deportation does not require anyone bing killed. You plain and simple endorse murderes
1
Veldern Apr 1, 2026 +1
They don't even know the cause of death yet, why are you saying they were murdered?
1
florodude Apr 1, 2026 +1
Maybe we do?
1
AspenSki1988 Apr 1, 2026 +1
You clearly do not. It's all performative.
1
florodude Apr 1, 2026 +1
Oh yeah? You know me? Please, tell me how I'm performative.
1
AspenSki1988 Apr 1, 2026 +1
You post about caring on Listnook
1
florodude Apr 1, 2026 +1
What about that is performative? What if I've taken very real steps to care for those less fortunate?
1
florodude Apr 1, 2026 +1
"And he couldn't respond, for he had no answer."

aquabarron Apr 1, 2026 +1
Why in the world would Mexico give a shit? These are all people they let go, probably people who left because the Mexican government doesn’t do anything for them
1
papercut2008uk Apr 1, 2026 +1
Mexico government demanding answers to why their citizens died in custody 'Mexican government doesn't do anything for them'
1
MilkmanBlazer Apr 1, 2026 +1
One comment proving your stupidity wasn’t enough huh?
1
PlushHammerPony Apr 1, 2026 +1
Letting them go… like not building an iron curtain? So the US should be fine with its citizens being killed abroad? After all, the US let them go.
1
MonarchTheBear Apr 1, 2026 +1
Y’all watch out! Mexico is making demands! 😱

Please Mexico grow some balls, your people have them, the world needs to stand up to this monster and Trump has officially been shitting on Mexico since his first term. Stop coddling the US while Trump poops in your mouth, you're better than that, I'm not saying stop all trade just get more money for your people, you're better than this.
1
Agitated_Degree_3621 Apr 1, 2026 +1
If Mexico had any balls they wouldn’t be contrary they are now. A country run by cartels is not a country it’s an occupied state.
1
Bad_Day_Moose Apr 1, 2026 +1
It took the US what decades to fight Nostra? Really didn't make any ways until RICO.
