Man. I feel old.
I watched those people who came before him get awards on TV.

It’s a little awkward but honestly there might not be a Michael B. Jordan without Will Smith paving the way.

I would have thought he’d name Chadwick Boseman before Will

> “I stand here because of the people that came before me,” Jordan said before shouting out the five prior Black acting Oscar winners: Sidney Poitier, Denzel Washington, Jamie Foxx, Forest Whitaker and Will Smith. ” To be amongst those giants, those greats, amongst my ancestors, amongst my guys…
> He continued, “Thank you everybody in this room and everybody at home for supporting me over my career. I feel it. I know you guys want me to do well, and I want to do that because you guys bet on me. So thank you for keeping betting on me. I’m going to keep stepping up, and I’m going to keep being the best version of myself I can be.”

No way lol. In what world was that performance Oscar worthy. Just compare him to the previous winners and their performance. Jessie Plemons didn't even get nominated and he was miles better than Michael.

Jordan never seems to embody the characters he plays. I always feel like I'm watching someone who wants to be a great actor, but isn't.

Too bad it was not an Oscar worthy performance. Probably the worst performance a best actor Oscar w***** has made in the last several years. Jessie Plemons didn't even get nominated and he was miles better than Michael.

The fact that each of the twins carried themselves differently physically, had distinct inflections when speaking, etc.
I could always tell the "twins" apart, I think it was a well deserved win personally.
