It should be an underground hillbilly tournament in the US and an Asian guy comes in and wins it. Forest Whitaker can reprise his role but as a retired ICE agent trying to catch the Asian guy but he never gets him. Kidding. Don’t remake it.

I read that as Michael Cera and thought that would be the best remake of all time.

If it’s just the main character lying about fighting prowess for 100 minutes that could be quirky enough for the A24 aesthetic.

Doesn't need a remake. You can't replace Van Damme or Bolo Yeung.

Actually we desperately need more tournament martial arts movies

Yes, you are right, but not a remake. How about something original

Literally why does it matter? Are we gonna pretend there something going on with Bloodsport except stuntment doing martial arts to each other on camera?

I’d rather see the remake Michael Che would do with Colin Jost,

Ok so long as the cat is heard during key fight scenes

I watched this movie for the first time the other night and it took me a while to realize it wasn’t my cat in the next room making that noise.

I really enjoy this movie exactly as it is, a product of its time. JCVD already remade it himself in The Quest. Can't we have new ideas?! For god's sake.

Kumite! Kumite! Kumite!

It doesn’t need a remake. This is a weird studio and director combo too.

10 years ago, they remade Kickboxer, and while it had good fights, it lacked the charm of the original, making it completely useless. Hopefully they can do better here.

As long as they don't ruin our childhood by remaking Bloodsport 4: The Dark Kumite or it's sequel Lady Bloodfight we'll all be ok.

Part of the charm of Bloodsport is being stuck in a 1980s vacuum of awesome. A remake would certainly do away with all of that.

Didnt they do this in Hot Shots 2?

This is so out of the left field that it may be interesting.

I originally read that as Michael Cena and thought that would be absolutely hilarious

Scott Adkins could have worked in the role 15-20 years ago but he's almost 50 now.

I read this as Michael Cera and got really excited

Exactly what no one ever asked for, yet ANOTHER remake

Box office performance for remakes/reboots/sequels vs original ideas for the last 10 years says the opposite.

Pathetic….with all the talented screen writers out there…. More proof that the studio heads who green light these projects are absolute f****** morons.
