Went into this with very little expectations. My wife is a big Vince Vaughn fan and said he had a new movie on streaming. Didn't watch the trailer so going in blind. And it was good. Better than good. It could have been a train wreck, but the writing was good and Vaughn pulled off playing the part(s) great. You could really tell the difference between his character(s). Marsden funny as always.
Good movie.
I thought it was solid.
>!Didn't like the ending where they just randomly remember there's a 2nd time machine to save the day. Kind of ruined the most emotional scene of the movie when they're all singing as Nick dies.!<
Hilarious movie though, the comedy hit.

Agreed. Totally out of left field and would have liked there to be some foreshadowing to support it.

Yeah, I agree it takes a fairly emotionally charged scene and then completely negates it by removing all stakes.

I knew it was coming though. This was a funny mass marketed crowd pleaser through and through. There was no way they were ending the movie on a sad note.

I thought they’d bring him back but in a more interesting way, a 2nd Time Machine out of nowhere that was never even mentioned is my problem, not that he lived.

Yeah fair point it was definitely clunky!

It was a lot of fun, but I agree that the ending felt c****.

I enjoyed it much more than I thought I would as well. I had last Friday off and had some time to kill and wanted to watch something while doing housework. I started it fully expecting to abandon it after 15 minutes but the dialogue was hilarious. Way better than a direct to streaming movie needs to be.

I also really like it after watching it last weekend
It wasn’t on my radar happened to see an ad for it with Vince Vaughn being Vince Vaughn, and said why not.
I like movies where people play more than one character like multiplicity or adaptation

Agreed. Really enjoyable flick with some unexpected heart. Good cinematography too. Gave me similiar vibes to The Nice Guys.

I thought it was really funny. Really didnt expect much from a straight to Hulu movie but was happily surprised.

Funny enough the only other straight to Hulu movie I can remember and really enjoyed was Palm Springs. Hulu creating a pretty specific niche for themselves

The 3rd Hulu movie I remember, but never saw, is Boss Level. Which is about a time loop.
Huh.

Had a really fun time with this.
The second act especially I thought was really good, did some interesting stuff with the time concept

I’m always in for an action comedy so I’ll def give this one a try! Even the bad ones (looking at you The Fountain of Youth) are good for lighter fare evening entertainment.

Haven’t seen the movie yet but I plan to watch it, but wanted to say if you guys like Vince Vaughn I recommend Bad Monkey on Apple TV. Very low level crime detective story with Vince as the PI. I watched it just because I like Vince Vaughn and I found it very enjoyable but I feel like it didn’t see it talked about much

I have it queued up just based on the cast but held off after (accidentally) seeing a plot description and it sounded less enticing, but I'm going to watch it this weekend anyway.

Great (and hilarious) needle drops too. Dave Matthews at the after after (after?) party?! Bonus fun fact; the writer/director is a big Gilmore Girls fan and said that Marsden's opinions in the movie are his own lol.

Watched this last week expecting it to be a bit shit but fun, and it was way better than it had any right to be.
Everything about it was better than I had expected.
The time travel story was absolute balls but was still interesting and had heart
The action sequences went surprisingly hard and were extremely well choreographed.
In the scenes with two Nicks I was watching out to see which one had their face obscured and was a body double. It was both of them for most of the time 😀
The ending in the car was laughably poor yet still quite moving.
Some proper laugh out loud moments too. The sequence with the assassin had me absolutely howling, especially after THAT reveal. Brilliant.

I saw a promotional poster but didn't know a single plot point. I had no idea it involved>! time travel !<. Thought it'd be a good movie to bank for one of those nights you don't want to spend an hour scrolling for something, just turn on the action comedy with the strong cast.
Unlike seemingly most others, I went into it expecting a funny action movie. Was definitely let down....
Vince Vaughn played Vince Vaughn. Eiza was the fashionable, yet stiff, eye candy as usual. Really felt the familiar Marsden was miscast by the end. In real life VV is 56, Marsden is 52, while Eiza is 36 - and it shows. Should've gotten a younger guy to play a protégée type of character.
There really wasn't a compelling plot point to movie the story forward. Keith David was just wasted, the dude who played his son was criminally bad. Even Arturo Castro, whose jokes normally land, was flat.
It could've been really good, especially after the first >!chloroform scene!< but damn... it was bad.
Edit: Forgot to mention. My wife was bored out of her mind but loves Gilmore Girls. Even she said "why do they keep talking about this?!?" There are at least 3 references, one of which being an entire scene lasting 3+ minutes.
