Evangelical Christians are never going to forgive him for that

The pope should leave the interpretations of religion to us people of the land. The common clay of the new West. You know... morons.

Most evangelicals hate other evangelicals. Have you ever talked with a southern Baptist about other baptists… f***. These people are hate.

The pope has nothing to do with evangelicals or any other christians besides catholics, which evangelicals hate anyway.

Evangelical Christians have taken over the Republican Party pushing militarism, specifically pro-Israeli policies many believe are needed to bring about their End Times. Many prominent evangelicals have criticized this pope for speaking out against war and promoting peace. This is me spoon feeding it to you 🤣😂

Are Evangelical Christians not allowed to dislike the pope? He said Evangelicals dislike the pope and I fail to see what is wrong about that. They dislike what he says, they dislike what he stands for, they dislike Catholics in general. There's nothing wrong with saying that evangelical Christians "won't forgive" the Pope for saying X Y Z just like they won't forgive Obama for doing X Y Z even though Obama has nothing to do with evangelical Christianity either

What does it matter if they wont forgive him for that? They dont like the pope or catholicism anyways so its a moot point. Plus he blocked me because i cant see his comments anymore but i see he responded again thru my notifications which means he knows he dont have a point and just wants a last word.

Beyond strictly what he wrote, the point he was trying to make was that Evangelical Christians, in this political climate, often take positions distinctly opposite of normative Christian values. In the same way I might feel inclined to say something like "Evangelicals are going to hate that" to someone (anyone) saying that people should sell their possessions and give their money to the poor. The point isnt the speakers identity necessarily, it's just an opportunity to point out that Evangelicals often get upset at people espousing ostensibly Christian values these days.

That's actually false. He might not have supremacy over non-catholics accepted by non-catholics but as the leader of the single biggest denomination his words still carry weight.
The Pope speaks, christians(except rabid morons and grifters) *listen*.
Sure, other denominations might then protest his words in full or in part. But they still give him due attention.

Moreso they listen to some of what the Pope speaks about, generally the more universal tennents of the church. I doubt many protestants were paying too much attention to the ritual significance of Vatican III and the end of Latin mass - but general messages of mercy/peace/charity should be widely applicable to all denominations.
Save for the wackos who really don't like the notion of a Jesus who likes welfare, I.e. evangelicals/pentacostals/assemblies

Seems like the absolute bare minimum for a pope to preach peace, no? Pope 101. He’s still staunchly anti abortion in all situations. No respect from me

Jesus never made an exception to the sixth commandment. Not for king, not for country, not for God, not for Pope. Not even in self defense.
There is absolutely nothing in the teachings of the Christ that allows for murder in any context. All New Testament passages used to support military service are deliberately misinterpreted.

You can't just preach christ. You need to preach peace, love, sympathy first. No one would suddenly accept a religion who wage wars on other religions
