A toothless warning is "taking a stand"? After literally making all of this lawlessness possible? F*** him forever

He's an ugly stupid turtle, no idea what he thinks poking his out of the shell might do now. Maybe he'll get stuck again.

Sminahin Apr 1, 2026 +1
I'm surprised Newsweek didn't run with: "Trump in *shambles* after Mitch McConnell destroys him"
1
Bitter-Narwhal-36 Apr 1, 2026 +1
Daily Beast already running that headline probably.

KazTheMerc Apr 1, 2026 +1
They need to inter his cracked skull somewhere in the Capitol as a urinal. I try not to HATE people in politics, but sometimes a McCarthy-like figure just EARNS it.

Well. He had to clean em. So a gum-filled warning is the best he's got

Sorry Mitch, you're about 10 years too late. And spoiler alert: you're not going to heaven either.

Donald Trump is here solely because of Mitch McConnell. He refused to impeach. He gave Trump the crown .

Special place in hell for Moscow Mitch.
1
No-Cranberry6148 Apr 1, 2026 +1
You were given two chances to do that, Mitch. In 2019 and 2021. You know... before the obvious criminality and corruption got to this point. And while it legally mattered what you said. I'm not inclined to give you a lot of credit.

Or any at all

StevenMC19 Apr 1, 2026 +1
It only took the tortoise ten years to do so...plus the plethora of years he spent cultivating the system to blossom this weed...doublecounting the years in which he spent with Trump working with him to stack the courts and championing his biddings.

By Dan Gooding — Politics Reporter | Two senators, including Republican Mitch McConnell, issued a warning to President Donald Trump on Wednesday after he suggested the United States could withdraw from NATO. In a joint statement, McConnell and Chris Coons, a Delaware Democrat, said the bloc was the most "successful military alliance in history," in an apparent rebuttal to Trump's ongoing disparagement of the organization. “Alliance disputes are as old as the alliance itself. Americans are safer when NATO is strong and united," the senators wrote. "It is in our interest for all allies to tend this unity with care." He’s standing?
1
feralmoron Apr 1, 2026 +1
He’s never stood up to anyone or anything in his pathetic, craven life. F*** him.
1
Orwells_Roses Apr 1, 2026 +1
Takes a stand? Please. He's a coward and is complicit in every awful thing the child rapist has done, because he helps cover it up. He's an accomplice and a co-conspirator, and just because he managed to put up a milquetoast complaint about f****** up NATO doesn't mean that he's suddenly grown a spine. He's as despicable as Republicans come, and thats saying quite a lot.

So NATO is what it took for him to grow a pair? Not, for instance, the killing and terrorizing of civilians by ICE thugs?
1
ihatevicvanlier Apr 1, 2026 +1
Man’s gonna look up at all of us from the turtle farm beyond just to see zero tears shed. Good.
1

If only the senate had convicted trump after the 2nd impeachment. That's when mitch should have taken his stand.
1
pinkfartlek Apr 1, 2026 +1
Takes a stand? Last time we heard from him, he was falling down in the halls of these government buildings.
1
Tbro20 Apr 1, 2026 +1
What did ol mitch say when the tried him for the second time... oh yeah. *Paraphrase* 'it really doesn't matter to convict him now, hes leaving office'
1
Additional-Signal327 Apr 1, 2026 +1
Too little, too late.

January 2021 was the time he should have taken his stand and voted to convict

F*** you McConnell! If you wouldn't have been a sycophant blowhard during Trump's *second* impeachment we wouldn't be living through this bullshit.
1
writeinfreedom Apr 1, 2026 +1
The most predictable outcome of McConnell taking a stand at this point is him then falling down a flight of stairs at the Capitol.
1
domiran Apr 1, 2026 +1
I'd call this taking a chair, not a stand.
1
Humble-Fish-7070 Apr 1, 2026 +1
1/7 would have been a good time for it
