‘Modern-Day Royalty’: 50 Billionaire Families Have Already Pumped Over $430 Million Into Midterms

The wealth inequality in America is the fault of the George W. Bush tax cuts for the rich, the Ronald Reagan tax cuts for the rich, and the Donald J. Trump tax cuts for the rich. If we return our tax system to how it used to be, then the wealth inequality would massively decrease.

It worked in 2024! Look at how many working and middle class. People voted to give wealthy people.Extreme tax breaks at the cost of their own well being. I can't wait to hear about how trans people and immigrants are the source of all our problems again.

The best single thing that could happen for the long term welfare of this country is to get all dirty/dark money out of politics.

That's an average of 8.6 million a piece. If you had $20,000 in the bank and spent $172, that would be like spending 8.6 million with a billion dollars in the bank. Billionaires shouldn't exist.

As the midterms are gearing up to be more of the same firesale of the politicians we common folk of the US will be voting for, instead of betting the whole farm on an election, (which might not even happen if this regime gets its way,) we should _also_ focus on forming real supportive community-based foundations, which many common folk in the US can fall back on, to commit to any effective action needed. Americans need to vote on for the American people who contribute to our society not the ones whose goal is personal profit.

Conservatives have been conditioned to care about which bathrooms transgendered people use, which complicated medical decisions Ob/Gyns are allowed to make and what Hunter Biden is currently doing as a private citizen. Actual issues like the open corruption of this administration, reversing environmental protections, starting foreign wars, funding education, protecting worker rights, affordable healthcare, etc. are conveniently ignored until it's too late. At this point if the Deep South wanted to secede from the nation I say let them. We're much better off without those Neanderthals dragging us behind from meaningful progress that's long overdue at this point.

I guess they don't realize the more they throw their money down the toilets turning politicians into The People's Enemy, the less likely their Pedo Gold piles will be replenished.

I propose an amendment: All campaign and political money for an election must originate solely from within the jurisdiction of the office up for election. This would make things how the founders intended. The wealthy can still get spend heavily on elections, this puts no limits on that, but they can only do it where they live.

I think you mean nobility. Royalty would be Presidents and their families.
