Where Mojtaba Khamenei is is more of the question.
Hopefully he's shed his mortal coil before being able to viciously oppress his own people further.

Alive or dead, it doesn’t make a huge difference. The IRGC is de facto in control either way.

Reports are that he lost a leg and is in bad shape. He's probably worth more to the IRGC as a martyr, so if he's been taken out we'd probably hear about it so they can use it for propaganda.

IRGC could be at risk of losing control of the country if he's dead. Mojtaba is very much the IRGC's man and he was the designated successor of his father, but there is no clear successor to Mojtaba himself. Him being dead could introduce strife among the council which elects the Supreme Leader in Iran, if they're even able to cleanly carry out an election. While that potential deadlock is going on, the IRGC loses control of Iran's military as the president is the highest official they report to in the absence of a Supreme Leader.

If he was alive or at least anything more than a vegetable, they would have made a video of him for propaganda. There isn't even a voice recording of him since he became supreme leader.
This mf is a fake identity.

LOL Motjaba Khamenei is either in a coma missing limbs and half his face somewhere in a basement under the Kremlin, or he died with his dad

I'm SHOCKED the guy whose wife, father, and other family members were taken out in a massive airstrike hasn't had a change of heart.

But he kinda did, compared to his father.
His father strictly BANNED any talks with Trump's government. Not only that, but his father also called anyone who wants to negotiate Spineless. (that's the reason for Omans talks not being face to face talk between the US and Iran).
So this guy not only agreed to ceasefire with the killers of his family, but also allowed a face to face direct talks between the US and Iran.
Some speculate this Mojtaba guy must either be fake and IRGC has the control or at least he doesn't want to end up like his father. Remember that Iran's government hasn't been able to bury the dead supreme leader yet, despite more than 40 days passing from his death.

But Trump is so, so worried about the suffering of the Iranian people under the repressive regime!

Huh. I have been told regularly that the bombing of schoolgirls was going to bring about change to improve the lives of Iranians, and questioning that at all was heresy.
Maybe it isn’t so clear cut.
