The source they got was someone told them the 82nd Airborne HQ was going to deploy and they just extrapolate the number based on open information on how many troops. In reality no one knows how many actual troops are being deployed. 5000 marines is them adding the other 2500 Marines that are on the way on the USS Boxer and 2 other ships that left from the US. But that won't reach the middle east anytime soon, maybe 1 more weeks or something
