Lebanon should be united as a nation against this injustice

So, Israel has no right to order another country's citizens to do anything, but, there's the additional irony of the Israelis ordering other people to move out and stop honoring traditions. Obviously has happened repeatedly with the "settlements" but still.

Why would you not evacuate to save your life? The enemy literally alerts you it’s going to bomb this area yet you choose to stay and eat that bomb?
-10
Domeil Mar 16, 2026 +11
So, heads up, Im going to be in YOUR kitchen tomorrow morning, planting a bomb. If you dont evacuate, you're a terrorist. Are you prepared to comply?
11
HugeCheck2471 Mar 16, 2026 -10
Yes because I’m not a total moron with survival skills of a panda. Doesn’t matter if I think it’s right or not that you’re going to plant a bomb in my house I’m going to save my life. Lol what even is your point this is so stupid.

Uncommonality Mar 16, 2026 +8
unfortunately, as you were exiting the house, you walked directly into the second bomb we purposely didn't tell you about. Our excuse is that we knew you'd be in your kitchen, not your hallway. Also we're not sorry.

Many may be unfamiliar Hezbollah. Milestones in Hezbollah’s History https://www.cfr.org/backgrounders/what-hezbollah A timeline showing milestones in Hezbollah’s history. 1943: After twenty-three years as a French mandate, Lebanon gains independence. Its new leaders sign the National Pact, which creates a government system dividing power among the major religious groups. 1971: The Palestine Liberation Organization (PLO) relocates its headquarters from Jordan to Lebanon. 1975–1990: Lebanon’s civil war rages as the country’s religious, political, and ethnic sects vie for control, leading to invasions by Israel and Syria and the involvement of the United States and other Western forces, as well as the United Nations. 1983: In April, Beirut’s U.S. embassy is bombed, killing 63 people. In October, suicide attacks on barracks housing U.S. and French troops kill 305 people. A U.S. court decides Hezbollah is behind the attacks. 1984: A car bombing attributed to Hezbollah kills dozens of people at the U.S. embassy annex in Beirut. 1985: Hezbollah releases its first manifesto. 1989: Lebanon’s parliamentarians meet in Taif, Saudi Arabia, and sign an agreement to end the civil war and grant Syria guardianship over Lebanon. The agreement also orders all militias except for Hezbollah to disarm. 1992: In March, the Israeli embassy in Buenos Aires is bombed in an attack attributed to Hezbollah. Later this year, Hassan Nasrallah becomes Hezbollah’s secretary-general after Israeli forces assassinate his predecessor. Hezbollah wins eight seats in Parliament after participating in national elections for the first time. 1994: Car bombings at Israel’s London embassy and a Buenos Aires Jewish community center are attributed to Hezbollah. 1997: The United States designates Hezbollah a foreign terrorist organization. 2005: Lebanese Prime Minister Rafiq Hariri is assassinated. His death, attributed to Syria, kick-starts the Cedar Revolution. A UN tribunal later implicates Hezbollah in Hariri’s death. 2006: Hezbollah abducts two Israeli soldiers, sparking a monthlong war with Israel that leaves more than one thousand Lebanese and fifty Israelis dead. 2009: Hezbollah releases an updated manifesto that expresses more openness to the democratic process. 2011: Syria descends into civil war. Hezbollah eventually sends thousands of fighters to support Bashar al-Assad’s regime. 2012: A suicide bombing targeting a bus carrying Israeli tourists in Bulgaria kills six people. The European Union blames Hezbollah. 2013: The EU designates Hezbollah’s armed wing a terrorist organization after considerable debate among the bloc’s members. 2018: Israel discovers miles of tunnels into Israel from southern Lebanon that it says belong to Hezbollah. 2019: Economic woes trigger mass protests calling for the political elite, including Hezbollah, to give up power. Prime Minister Saad Hariri resigns. 2020: Hezbollah vows revenge after a U.S. drone strike kills Iranian Quds Force commander Qasem Solemaini. Later this year, a top judge begins investigating officials tied to Hezbollah in relation to explosions at a Beirut port that kill hundreds. 2023: Hezbollah launches attacks across the Israel-Lebanon border in a show of support for Palestinians amid the Israel-Hamas war in the Gaza Strip. Hezbollah and Israel trade attacks at the border well into 2024, raising fears that Lebanon will be dragged into a full-scale war. 2024: Israel kills longtime Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah in an air strike. This follows a series of strikes that kill other leaders and an attack triggering explosions in pagers used by the group's members that results in thousands wounded. https://www.cfr.org/backgrounders/what-hezbollah

Thank God we have Israel to enforce international law 💀

eran76 Mar 15, 2026 -8
I think the greater point here is that there is no such thing as international law. People talk about it as if it means anything. Putin invades Georgia, crickets. Putin invades Crimea, crickets. W. Bush invades Iraq under false pretenses, the international community actually helped. The only instances of enforcement is when a global power like the US chooses to enforce. That's when you get Saddam out of Kuwait, Serbia our of Kosovo, or Osma bin Laden shot in the head. If there is zero enforcement of international law against the groups that attack Israel, are you honestly surprised when Israel has to do it?

This is the dumbest post I’ve seen all week. Israel has killed so many innocent people since its inception and has hid behind lies of painting its enemy as the terrorist when Israel is nothing short of that. Israel has bombed the south of Lebanon constantly before the retaliation strikes. Israel was looking for an excuse to invade and steal Lebanese land south of the Litani river. This is just Israel’s October 8th. There’s a special place in hell for Netanyahu and his Zionist followers

The South of Lebanon has been bombarding Israel since 1975 when the Palestinians kicked out of Jordan for fomenting a civil war there moved to Lebanon and did the same there as well. I love how you ignored that the largest and most deadly explosion in the history of Beirut was caused not by Israel but by Hezbollah. I love how you ignored that on October 8th of 2023, Hezbollah launched its own rockets at Israel despite Israel having not attacked Lebanon, or at that point, even Gaza. I love how you ignored that after supplying Hezbollah, the Houthis and Hamas with weapons, and screaming death of the Jews/Israel for 47 years, Iran is finally getting what it deserved for fomenting violence against Israel, and despite all this, Israel is attacked by Hezbollah during this war with Iran even though Israel did not attack them as part of this war. Its almost as if Hezbollah is just part of Iran and not Lebanon at all. Anyway, remind-me-when! the first Israeli settler moves into Lebanon. I can't wait for you to be proven correct.

Hope that $7,000 check goes towards something useful. Remind me what Palestine looked like in 1948 and remind me what Israel looked like? That does not come because of Iran. That comes from Zionist aggression and land grabs. That's all Israel has done since it's inception and American's are finally seeing this. Unfortunately you have Bibi's boots too deep down your throat to notice.

eran76 Mar 15, 2026 +4
I hate Netanyahu, and I have no idea what $7000 you're talking about. Israel does not equal Netanyahu. The current Islamic regime in Iran dates to 1979, so not exactly relevant to Israel or Palestine in 1948. There was no Palestine in 1948 just like there is no Palestine today. The Arabs there were offered a country by the UN, a country much bigger than Israel today, they turned it down and went to war instead. Which is fine, but then they lost and were occupied by Jordan and Egypt for 19 years. You talk about land grabs and aggression, yet ignored 900,000 Jews ethnically cleansed from the Muslim world over the 20th century where not a single Jewish person is left today and where not a single piece of land is still owned or controlled by their Jewish descendants: Morocco: Largest community in the Arab world, with about 265,000. Algeria: ~140,000 (French citizens). Tunisia: ~105,000. Iraq: Estimated 120,000–130,000. Egypt: Estimated 70,000–80,000. Iran: ~150,000. Syria: ~30,000. Lebanon: ~5,000. Yemen/Aden: ~50,000.

Just say you love watching children be murdered, you didn't need two whole paragraphs to say that. How much does israel pay people to claim they aren't killing children? I guess if you can't get a real job you could always sell your soul to pedophiles and warmongers.

How dare they If Canada showed up and told you to leave in 12 hours or die [this is a maple plantation now] how would you feel

Wetalpaca Mar 16, 2026 -1
But also the US had a terrorist shia organization stronger than their army that launched missiles into Canada, unprovoked. Oh and they're basically the cartel too.
-1
WilliamRobutt Mar 16, 2026 +8
For that to be anywhere comparable, America would have had to brutally occupy Canada for 20 years and that so called "terrorist" organisation would have to be the resistance that pushed them out and has never done anything but fight foreign invaders in their own homeland. But keep spreading hasbara lies. It's not like the world has woken up to the United States of Israel.
8
Wetalpaca Mar 16, 2026 -1
Which is why trying to appeal to Americans with allegories to Canada is brain dead. Funny how people defending Hezbollah always shout "hasbara". Israel has been out of Lebanon for twenty years. Hezbollah's official reason to shooting rockets at civilian centers is "solidarity with Palestine". But keep glazing them, and maybe do so not on an anonymous platform. If you're in any western country you're probably breaking the law.

Genocidal settler colonialism is quite the provocation. Funny that Americans fail to see that
